Kyle dropped to his knees almost the instant David’s gaze fell upon him.
He bknew /bthat it waspletely over. This time, no one could save bhim/b.
He assumed it was merely a research method. As long as their research seeded first, no one would suspect that they had stolen this.
However, he was unaware that Jeremy’s team had already achieved sess.
Not only bhad /bthey published a paper, but they had also sessfully applied for a patent.
Not only did David’s team fail to achieve sess ahead of others, but they also didn’t even realize that their research method was just the rudimentary version others had already discarded.
Kyle thought. “Hasn’t David balways /bimed to be the top expert in this field? How could he not even spot the ws in this methodology?
“It’s trulyughable that we still applied for a patent. David can’t handle it himself, and now he’s dragging me into the mess as well.
‘Now that my act of theft has been uncovered, not to mention that I can’t stay at the institute, I won’t be able to stay in the medicalmunity.
‘I was first expelled from school, and now I have been forced to withdraw from the research institute. How could I be so unlucky?
“It’s all David’s fault. Everything is his fault. He bis /bsimply not a good teacher!
“Had I not followed David, how could I have ended up in such ba /bsituation?
“Look at Josie. After merely changing her advisor, her circumstances have markedly improved.
“Not only has her appearance be more refined, but she balso /bsecured an internship during her senior year and even received a preface written by Professor Longley.
“What a glorious thing this is!”
At this moment, Kyle utterly hated David.
This pair had turned against each other and be bitter adversaries. Their gazes grew increasingly fierce and resentful.
David’s anger and reproach were once again suppressed when he met Kyle’s resentful gaze. After all, he cared about saving face.
He said, “As your teacher, I have fulfilled my moral duty. In any case, it is my fault for not teaching you well.
“I hope you can take care of yourself and don’t go down the path of crime againb.” /b

He said, “So, the entire oue is solely my fault, and you bear no responsibility whatsoever. David, do your abilities truly blive /bbup /bto your breputation/bb?/bb” /b
This was the first time a student had questioned hispetence in person, and it caused his expression to reveal evident displeasure.
However, he did not reprimand Kyle. Instead, he turned to face director.
He bsaid/b, “I will handle all subsequent matters appropriately. Kyle bis /bba /bmember of the research institute.
“How to deal with him is up to you. From the day he was expelled from the university, our rtionship has ended.”
“Expelled?” director was stunned. “Ms. Rogers, exin this to me. What exactly bis /bgoing on with Kyle?”
He thought. A student who was expelled from the school actually got into my research institute. This is the biggest joke ever.
‘Fine, so that’s how you want bto /by it, Hadley?
Then don’t me me for not being polite with you‘
He said, “Forget it. You don’t need to exin any furtherb. /b
“Starting today, you are reassigned to the Logistics Department. I will arrange for someone else to take over responsibility for the personnel records.”
“director?” Hadley was visibly distressed, yet she still wished to plead.
director had already angrily driven all of them out of the office.
He said, “Mrs. Kinberg, just look at bthis /bsituation we are in.
“Do you think you’ve lived up to the support I’ve given you? Go back and think it over! If you really can’t handle it, then take an early retirement.”
After director finished speaking, he mmed the door shut with ba /bloud bang.
Audrey felt as if the world had copsed. Her legs gave way, a wave of dizziness swept over her, and she could barely remain standing by supporting herself bagainst /bthe wall.
She looked up and saw that, except for Kyle, everyone else had left. Even Hadley no longer paid her any
attention.
Audrey suddenly felt pathetic.
Hadley was understandable, since she was implicated because of her.
However, she had wholeheartedly supported David, yet he still abandoned her at this time.

He didn’t even offer a single word of constion.
