However, as his status continued to rise, the injuries he sustained became increasingly severe. It was not until Josie was imprisoned that the secret behind this was finally revealed.
Upon seeing Yvonne again, Josie was struck by a thought and strode toward her. “Miss Jiznev, are you here to see Vincent? Let me show you the way.”
“Who are you?” Yvonne stared suspiciously at Josie. “How could you know me?”
Josie smiled slightly. “We met in front of the Clem residence. At that time, I was with Sean to meet Mr. Clem, and you, along with Jaden and several others, wereing out of the Clem residence.”
“Oh! I know. You’re Vincent’s junior, Natalie’s rival. Why would you kindly show me the way? What do you want to do to me?” She looked wary.
Josie wore an expression of hurt.
Josie said, “So, this is how Natalie sees me? That’s really unexpected. If I truly wanted to go against her, I wouldn’t have chosen to leave. I would have shamelessly clung to David’s team. Besides, we hardly know each other. What could I possibly do to you?”
Josie clicked her tongue softly. “I was just trying to do you a favor for Colby’s sake. Since you don’t need it, forget it!”
Without another word, Josie turned and strode into the school so decisively that Yvonne didn’t even have time to react.
“Hey, wait, let me go in with you!” Yvonne jogged to catch up with Josie. “Did you really not consider Natalie as a rival?
“Of course not!” Josie thought someone like Natalie wasn’t even worthy of being her rival. In her previous life, she was foolish to think Natalie was a threat.
It wasn’t until she was imprisoned that she figured it out: all of Natalie’s achievements were entirely made by David. Her real opponent should be David Lawson.
Yvonne mused, “So, you do not hate Natalie, nor have you ever consideredpeting with her?”
“What is there for me topete with her over? Leaving David’s team was my decision. As long as she does not provoke me, I don’t have the time to dislike her.” Josie nced at Yvonne.
As the future heir of the Jizney family, she was unlike the other distinguished young women of Aloville; there was a decisive and ruthless edge to her character.
In her previous life, during the few asions they met, Yvonne was always the one who helped Natalie bully her, and did so the most viciously.
Natalie’s rise to the top could not have been achieved without the support she received.
Before, Josie could never understand why so many people disliked her, why she seemed destined to be
bullied, and why no one respected her.

Even when she followed the team into morous settings, the looks people gave her were still filled with disdain and disgust.
This led to her bing increasingly insecure and ipetent. She spent more and more time on research afterwards, thinking that as long as she achieved more significant research results, everyone would surely change their opinion of her.
But in the end, all her research achievements were used to benefit Natalie instead.
From beginning to end, she was merely a tool used by David to advance Natalie.
How could a tool, a sacrifice, develop consciousness? How could it go out and meet people, be liked by everyone?
Naturally, it must be concealed in shadowy corners, away from public view.
In her previous life, Natalie gave Josie a shameful reputation. Now, wasn’t it only fair that she let the world see Natalie’s true colors?
“Is this your true feelings?” Yvonne was somewhat skeptical.
Josie looked serious. “Miss Jiznev, you are smart. Think carefully about what I said. I now have my own mentor and my own research projects.
“As long as I don’t do anything stupid, follow Professor Delh steadily, graduate smoothly, and get into grad school, in the future, forget major achievements, but entering Reedshaw Hospital and staying in Aloville should at least be possible, right?
“In this situation, firstly, Natalie isn’t blocking my path; secondly, she’s not mypetitor. Tell me, what do I have topete with her for? What reason do I have to hate her?”
