Josie shook her head, “I don’t know, but I don’t think Elliot’s fainting spell was due to low bblood /bsugar. There must be another reason. If only I could check on his condition!”

“That might not work!” Sean said, looking frustrated.

Josie was slightly surprised. “Did you already secretly check on his condition? Well, is there anything wrong with his

    health?

“No!” Sean shook his head. “At least from the perspective of traditional medicine, no symptoms have been bfound /bso far. We probably bneed /bto do other tests!”

If Elliot were so cooperative as to go to the hospital for examinations, they wouldn’t have to secretly investigate him so

    painstakingly.

    Josie looked frustrated.

“Alright, don’t look so bsad/bb. /bI’ll take care of Uncle’s matter!” Sean reached out and gently squeezed her face. “Sit tight. I’m taking byou /bhome!”

He leaned over to fasten her seatbelt, and as he pulled back, he ced a kiss on her cheek.

Josie’s face quickly flushed crimson, and she turned her head, not daring to look at him.

She thought, ‘This is the second time.

    ‘He truly does like me!‘

Josie was overjoyed. She couldn’t suppress the smile on her lips.

Their gazes met through the car window. That fleeting spark made both their hearts flutter.

The smiles bon /bboth their faces were sweet.

As Josie happily returned to the Reedshaw family home, Jeremy also packed up, ready to leave work.

Digby walked past his office. “Jeremy, wanna grab a bite?”

“No, something came up at home. I’ll eat there!” Jeremy waved his hand and walked out of the institute.

Digby shook his head. Everyone at the institute said Jeremy spoiled his wife. He only cared about her and always relied on

    her.

Digby also heared rumors that Jeremy bwas /bable to join the research institute because of the Reedshaw family’s connections years bago/b.

He achieved nothing over the years, showed no ambition to progress or climb the ranks, and spent all his time revolving around his wife.

It was precisely because of these rumors that Digby chose to join Audrey’s team in the past.

However, things didn’t go the way he wanted.

Digby soon realized his personal achievements were inexplicably attributed to the entire team.

After this happened a couple of times, he became dissatisfied and sought out Audrey,

    Audrey,

ying on her background and influence, suppressed his promotion approval and refused to sign it.

In the end, he didn’t dare to bmake /ba bfuss/b, and only then did he receive a promotion.

Butpared to his peers, the position he finally got promoted to was nothing significant. These weren’t even the most

    critical issues he had faced.

The most important thing was that he no longer wanted his personal achievements to be stolen by others.

Reaching middle age, he often had a strong feeling of unfulfilled potential. He desperately needed to achieve something to prove himself.

Jeremy’s unexpected signing of the medical school project gave him hope.

He joined Jeremy’s team without hesitation.

Initially, he was somewhat skeptical of Jeremy due to rumors. It wasn’t until the first phase of the research concluded that he realized he was terribly wrong.

Digby realized that Jeremy was not ipetent. He was simply too humble.

His goals were never self–serving, and his devotion to his wife was rooted in his desire to advance overall medical

    standards.

He was a true and great medical researcher, and he genuinely loved his wife.

Digby felt he couldn’t achieve what Jeremy did, but he wholeheartedlymitted to this project, striving to make it a

    sess.

However, he didn’t expect to encounter challenges so early, during an intermediate experiment, and be outmaneuvered by a young girl.

Digby walked into the cafeteria with aplicated expression, still contemting whether to repeat the experiment using Josie’s form, when he heard someone call his name.

“Digby, upstairsb, /bplease.” It was Audrey.

Her face was beaming, and bshe /bbowed slightly towards him. Though in her forties, she appeared no less charming than

    women in their btwenties/bb. /b

Seeing Digby’s indifference, Audrey added, “Professor Lawson has always spoken highly of you to me, saying he’s long wanted to connect with you.

“Digby, would you mind having a meal and a chat together?”
