CHAPTER 163- DATING

Miku and Akisu went to the nearest café for something cold since it was too hot today.

“What would you like to have?” Akisu asked as they sat on a seat which was by the floor-to-ceiling window, and was in quite the backside of the eatery.

Miku thought for a moment before saying, “Pineapple slush and anything salty with it that you chose.”

Akisu nodded before he made his way toward the counter.

He took these few minutes to calm his heart.

He was finally with her again. Whatever he says now, might decide what relationship they would carry from this point.

Since he came here in a rush, he didn't prepare what he would be saying. But that doesn't matter now.

He has already decided to not remain indecisive about it.

“Hey…can I get one…”

While Akisu was ordering food at the counter, Miku suddenly received a message on her primary phone.

She glanced at Akisu and after making sure that it would take some time for him to return, she took out the phone and checked it.

Dad: [I will get free at four. Can you come at that time?]

Miku checked the time and found it was two on the clock, so she had enough time.

That’s why,

Me: [Okay 3]

“Here.” Hearing the voice, Miku hurriedly stuffed the phone in her bag, before she turned toward Akisu and smiled.

“Thank you,”

Akisu nodded before he sat down across from her once he rested the two trays on the table.

Since the restaurant was nearly empty, they prepared the food rather quickly.

Akisu was having a grilled sandwich and he bought some fries and a burger for Miku.

He wasn’t sure what she liked so he just went with his instincts.

Seeing her enjoying the burger, he felt himself getting full already.

However, if he just kept staring at her, things wouldn't be resolved.

So, he steadied his mind and then began, “Miku-san…about last, I want to apologize for whatever happened.”

Miku kept chewing without looking up. However, Akisu knew that she was listening, that's why he continued, “I know I have been indecisive and cowardly all this time…but it’s just the way I have grown up that made me like that. I always remained on the sidelines, minding my own business and considering things like dating or even talking to a girl, almost an impossible task for me. That’s why when you suddenly began paying attention to me, I was overwhelmed. My happiness meters were over the roof.”

His smile dropped a little, as he added, “However, in a corner of my mind, I always thought that I didn’t deserve this much happiness. That…I am not worthy of your attention.”

Miku was no longer pretending to be focused on the food as she looked at him and asked, “So if we continue to be together you will continue to feel that way, no?”

Was Miku being too hard on him, when she(Minoru) has been a loner for most of her life? However, she wanted him to change and become more bold with his approach. These are the things that he needs to realize himself.

Akisu took a deep breath before extending his hand and holding hers.

Miku was genuinely surprised, feeling his warm hand on hers, before she heard him saying, “No, now I am sure about something. And that…I cannot live without you. I tried. Those eleven days without you were quite a torture on me and trust me when I say this, I am ready to become anything if it keeps you beside me.”

Miku felt shy but she didn’t hold herself from teasing him, “What if I make you a pet-type boyfriend who just listens to me and does whatever I say?”

Akisu smiled, “That boyfriend part sounded nice, so I don’t mind.”

Miku was taken aback by that warm gaze as she lowered her gaze and bit her lower lip, “Not fair…you can’t be this bold.”

Akisu grinned, “But you wanted me to not be indecisive, so I am doing what I want. And that is…flirting with the girl I love.”

“….!”

“So…are we dating now?” With her hands crossed behind her back, Miku walked beside Akisu.

There was a faint blush on her face.

She had to admit that this version of Akisu who doesn’t hold back from speaking his mind is very dangerous for her heart.

Like she hadn’t met someone with such flirting skills which could make even a passing stranger blush.

Akisu took a deep breath, “If you are okay with me, then please be my girlfriend.”

Miku smiled at him, “As I mentioned before, if I hadn’t been sure, I wouldn’t have ever contacted you after our meeting at the resort.”

Akisu held her hand before telling her, “Then…even though it is my first time, I will try to do my best.”

Miku warmly smiled at him, when suddenly she felt buzzing from her pocket.

‘No…Dad must be waiting….’ It was already going to be four but they had been so busy chatting and flirting that she never noticed.

Looking at Akisu, she knew that he wanted to spend some more time with her…however, the meeting with Kousuke was important as well.

But Akisu and Miku have reunited after such a long time so she can't walk away this soon.

‘Guess there is no option…’

“Umm…Aki-kun, wait for me.” Saying so, she rushed toward the nearby public washroom.

Once inside, she instantly locked herself inside a cubicle before calling out,

“System…get me the body doubling pill.”

There was no other choice but to use his ultimate weapon now.
