Chapter 53: Four gods in Mech Armors
CHAPTER 53: FOUR GODS IN MECH ARMORS
Julian and the soldiers he assigned dashed forward, Julian moving more swiftly.
The other soldiers behind him held their guns very tightly, their hands close to the trigger, ready to release at any given time. There were a lot of activities happening in that short run.
Julian swerved to the left and right occasionally, dodging bodies of dead soldiers. When he stole glances at some, he saw toothless corpse, some with their eyeballs out and most with a battered face. If this went on like this, they would surely lose a lot of soldiers. He decided he had to act fast.
Running with his kind of speed, he was soon at the front door of the building. A kick had sent it, open, a slight hesitation before... He knew he would be facing a lot, but he wasn’t so scared as he was bulletproof with the mech armor he had on. He was sure the other soldiers would be too..
The door reeled back. Julian was surprised it was still there, he had been expecting it to come off after all this brutality. Rolling on the floor, Julian dodged some bullets and a soldier somersaulted right over him, sending bullets from his gun into the mouth of a soldier who didn’t know what was about to hit it.
The others became alarmed and they exchanged glances, their hands quickly going to the trigger of their guns. But then, before they could fire, Julian had stood up, firing at them all before they could blink. They all slumped to the floor, except one though, who was acting tough, trying to stand after all the bullets.
Julian smiled. Well, since he became the Galactic Knight, he didn’t give fucks. And right now, well, he didn’t give a fuck also. The soldier tried to shoot, Julian decided to let him shoot. At least that would be the only thing he accomplished before he died. Julian watched him shoot.
Clank! The bullet met him by the chest. Julian smiled under his helmet, he grinned and then, before the soldier could comprehend what was about to happen, Julian flew right into him, sending, with just a single punch, all of its teeth away.
Julian had wanted to do the usual brutal killing – pressing the soldier head and stuff but before he could move his body, the soldier slumped to the ground, blood gushing out of his mouth.
Julian was genuinely surprised. A punch of his to the side of the jaw?, how was this possible, was his punch this thick? He decided to look at soldier very well. He was sure dead, with a twisted jaw and the stuff that carried his teeth well out. Damn! Dead as fuck! Julian left him and returned to the line of fire. They were in a place that looked like a hall. By the looks of things it led to other places.
The hall stretched wide, lined with thick metallic walls that bore the scars of gunfire and explosive force—dents, scorch marks, and splashes of blackened blood. Overhead, long strips of flickering blue lights buzzed with uneven energy, casting harsh shadows that jerked a bit with every movement. The floor was matte-black steel, cracked in places, and littered with shell casings, broken visors, and limbs.
Thin steam hissed from busted vents near the base of the walls, mixing with the faint stench of plasma burns and death. Pillars of chrome-reinforced alloy rose at intervals, some of them chipped, one fully collapsed, as if something massive had rammed through it.
Ahead, branching corridors yawned open, leading into unknown parts of the complex—some lit, some pitch-black, all of them screaming trap. At the far end, a massive set of blast doors loomed, half-open, with sparks flying from the broken circuitry trying to seal it shut.
It wasn’t just a hall. It was a damn warpath.
Julian looked at the soldiers.
"Fight like all hell have been let loose," he said. "You’re in mech armors. Strong stuff so you shouldn’t be too worried about your lives."
They all nodded in the affirmative.
"Follow my steps," Julian said to them.
They nodded in the affirmative.
Julian walked forward. The opposition soldiers seemed to be hiding, like they were setting some sort of trap.
Julian had a strong gut feeling. He knew what they were up to.
Suddenly they seemed to be no more soldiers?
Yeah right!
A damn trap.
Julian walked forward. More like tiptoed actually. Holding the mech rifle very tightly. His fingers behind the trigger, holding it so tightly it seemed like he would pull the trigger any time soon.
He walked in cautious steps, looking behind him at every time.
It was not that bullets could do him anything but simply because he just didn’t want to be pushed to the ground or delivered a sick punch unexpectedly.
And so, he continued cautiously, his eyes on fixed sideways, his hands well onto the gun.
He heard a grunt. He paused and looked backwards. The soldiers with him shook their hands in the negative. It clearly wasn’t from them.
Julian gut feeling had been right and to further prove it, someone had grunted.
Perfect timing for a grunt.
"Which direction did the grunt come from?" he asked Xea very inaudibly, in very low voice.
’[Shoot to your right!]’ Xea said to him.
Julian was hesitant, but only for a split second.
Shoot to the right.
Xea had never been wrong though and he prayed he wasn’t now.
Julian, gritting his teeth, shot to his right. He pulled the trigger very hardly he was sure it would have done a lot of damaged as he shot.
The sound of blood splattering to the walls, the sounds of bullets.
A body slumped to the ground from the wall.
Julian looked forward. Soldiers were firing bullets at him.
The bullets met him with a clank! sound and he stood there unaffected, watching.
They kept firing, the other soldiers in mech were unaffected too.
Julian looked at them and they all grinned under their helmets.
He looked at the dead body of the soldier he shot some seconds ago. He looked at the soldiers shooting him. He grinned again and lowered his head. When he looked up again, his eyes were now glowing a bright and vivid red.
The colour for the occasion.
He was also carrying his usual Cavill Superman gaze.
Taking just a step forward, he began firing.
The other soldiers did same and there you have it. Four god looking soldiers shooting on a bunch of shocked soldiers.
Gunfire!
It was very rampant.
Bodies fell, blood drooling from their nose and mouth, profusely.
Julian’s bullets came out as swords, crazy stuff, even chopping some soldiers heads off.
The heads fell to the ground with a sickening sound, one that if a feeble-minded person present, would be very well disgusted.
Julian didn’t give fucks, he kept firing, reducing the mass multitude of soldiers.
The other soldiers fired too and there you have it again. Four overpowered gods viciously killing a bunch of now very terrified soldiers.
And the crazy part was that they couldn’t escape, not for once. They seemed to be trapped. Only walls were at their sides and facing them (the way they could escape), was blocked by Julian and the soldiers in mech.
There was door at their back and Julian was certain if they were to want to open it, before they could even touch, bullet of his would meet and send them down.
The damage being done was very much at this point.
The soldiers Julian and the soldiers met were about over seventy and now, they were only facing fifteen.
They shot, bullets finished, they reloaded and shot again.
They shot!
Bam!
Bam!
Bam!
They shot so crazily to the extent that the soldiers beside Julian began to laugh as they shot. They just couldn’t believe their eyes. They had never done this much damage in ages and now, they were doing it like it was nothing. Like it was sipping tepid tea.
Only two of the opposition soldiers were remaining.
Julian raised his hands up and signaled for the soldiers with him to stop.
They did and Julian, in his mind brutality, walked over to the two remaining soldiers who were shivering.
They shot and shot at him but it did nothing to him, nothing at all.
Now pulled back to the wall, trying to open the exit door. Trying to find a way to get out.
A fuckin’ way from this monster.
Julian enjoyed their fear. It seemed to give him comfort. It seemed to soothe his heart.
Twisting his neck sideways, Julian threw the mech rifle to one of the soldiers with him to catch. After doing so, his hands went to their necks.
And then, he squeezed slowly. With the kind of strength he had accumulated this few days, if he was to strangle them the normal way, he would be reducing their heads to pulp.
They screamed for mercy but their screams were muffled by Julian’s brutality.
But then, he heard a sound like something flying in the air. He quickly looked up, to his right and just then, he saw large soldier with a mech destroying axe coming on him.
He was sure to be hit.
But then...
Bam!
A large bullet hit the soldier and it drifted mid-air before toppling onto the ground.
Julian was relieved. He looked backwards and saw the soldier he gave the gun holding it tight.
"Thanks," he said.
The soldier nodded.
"That’s what a team does."
Julian didn’t want to waste time anymore, he squeezed the necks very tightly, pushing their tongues out, blood gushing from their throats onto his helmet.
With that, he turned backwards and walked over to the soldiers.
"Take me to the governor’s room," he said.
---
The governor layed headless on a chair, obviously dead, blood gushing from where his head ought the have been.
