CHAPTER 322: CHAPTER 323 - THE WAR OF TALASA PRIME (IV)

"When the Tyranid hive fleets clash with the Daemons of Chaos, neither race receives succor. The inconstant Warp matter from which Daemons are made offers no sustenance to the Tyranids, while the alien and unknown entity of the Hive Mind is immune to demonic terror and corruption. Thus, these two apex predators fight for the right to consume or plunder the vast stocks of mortal flesh in the galaxy, tearing each other apart in an unsurpassed frenzy of slaughter from which only one can emerge victorious." Description of the War between the Tyranids and the Ruinous Powers of Chaos.

-------

At this moment, Red Tear and Nightfall were in the middle of the enemy army, firing cannons and plasma in all directions, the darkness of the universe was tinged with shades of red and blue, hitting the Tyranids.

Blood, bodies, and limbs floated in space as billions of insectoid creatures converged in a suicidal attack against the force fields protecting both Gloriana-class Imperial ships.

Despite this, there wasn’t even a crack in the force fields, showing that the insects might be numerous, but they were definitely not as strong as they appeared, especially without technology to destroy the defenses of the Imperial ships.

The Queen of Blades, Kerrigan, noticed this but remained indifferent; in a war of attrition, she was proud to say that she was second to none in the universe, and no one dared to claim first.

And she had reason to be proud; the Tyranids were practically the fastest-reproducing race. With enough organic matter, in mere minutes, tens of thousands of individuals could be born without any problem. So, she wanted to see who had more energy, her or humanity’s Imperial ships.

However, just as she was about to launch the most massive attack this universe had ever witnessed, Kerrigan felt a profound sense of oppression fall upon her.

"It took a while, but I finally found you, little insect." The male voice echoed in Kerrigan’s mind, and before she could do anything, she saw a figure surrounded by a glow brighter than a thousand suns exploding at once.

Even being an entity of pure psychic energy, she couldn’t help but tremble before the approaching existence. The psychic consciousness known as the Hive Mind, or Kerrigan, as she liked to be called, couldn’t help but want to flee.

"Incredible, you are immune to my corruption." Aenar commented, noting that the mass of psychic energy before him was unaffected by his corruption, becoming his slave. A malicious gleam shone in the eyes of the God-Emperor of Mankind.

Honestly, he planned to destroy the consciousness of this psychic energy mass, but now he had changed his mind. With the approaching birth of the Chaos gods, infinite hordes of demonic legions entered the material universe. Now, with the existence of the Tyranids, who were unaffected by corruption, Aenar’s plans changed drastically.

"Let’s make a deal, little insect." Aenar said, he waved his hand and brought back the conscious and living mass of psychic energy. Kerrigan looked at the monster before her with a "cold gaze," even though she had no eyes or even a physical body.

"Don’t look at me like that; if someone sees, it might seem like I’m intimidating you. I have a reputation to uphold." Aenar said with an amused tone; he felt no apprehension whatsoever before such a powerful and dangerous mass of psychic energy.

"You’ve probably felt the psychic energy pulses spreading throughout the known universe. And the heart of the Chaos gods beating, it even sounds like the beating of the universe itself." Aenar spoke as he looked at the Tyranids’ home planet; although it looked like a solid planet, it was quite the opposite. What was before him was a green planet, but this color did not originate from any existing mineral in the universe, but from the bodies of insects. Yes, the entire planet was made of insects, and at its core was the mass of psychic energy before him.

Honestly, it was brilliant to have such a planet. One could say that there would be nothing that the mass of consciousness known as the Hive Mind could see. It was incredible to have a planet with this kind of origin.

"What do you want, God-Emperor?" Kerrigan asked with a cold and indifferent tone; her voice was transmitted to Aenar’s mind, making him understand the xeno language he was hearing at that moment.

"Simple, there is an area of the universe known as the Eye of Terror; it is the closest area to the material world and the Warp. I want you to move your planet to that place." Aenar said with a smile, not caring about the lack of manners; after all, what could he expect from insects?

"Do you think I’m stupid? You just want me to deal with your enemies for you." Kerrigan said with a tone full of sarcasm and irony. She couldn’t believe there was a being as arrogant as this man.

"Do you think you can refuse?" Aenar spoke with an amused tone. Although his words sounded like a threat, it wasn’t one.

"Are you threatening me?" Kerrigan asked with an even colder tone; the trillions of insects below her began to move, creating extreme insect sounds. Anyone with insectophobia would probably die of fright seeing the grotesque scene below.

"Far from it, this is advice." Aenar was not intimidated and spoke calmly. "Do you think you can escape if they are born? Don’t be naive; you are immune to their corruption, probably even more dangerous than in the eyes of the Chaos gods."

"Besides, will you stand by while the Daemons of Chaos consume the flesh of mortals throughout the universe? What will you eat when that happens?" Aenar said slowly, not hiding his conspiracy. It was a naked and raw conspiracy, even knowing this, he was sure the Hive Mind would enter the conspiracy without any hesitation.

There was only one final outcome between the Ruinous Powers of Chaos and the Tyranids – the death of one side!

Just as Aenar guessed, Kerrigan’s mind was processing the information and processing it extremely fast. To her dismay, in the simulations, the God-Emperor was undeniably right.

This made her furious!

Even if she refused Aenar’s proposal, the forces of Chaos would find her, and the war would happen anyway. Kerrigan had no reason to refuse and would have to stand before the Eye of Terror to gain initiative in this war.

Looking at the human’s smile before her, if Kerrigan had a face, it would be abnormally grim.

Beast!!! This bestial behavior was disgusting to the extreme!!!

Kerrigan wanted to order all her children to devour the flesh and blood of the human before her, but she knew it would be useless.

"I want something in return." Kerrigan said with a cold and non-negotiable tone. "I want technology."

Aenar’s eyes narrowed, but he didn’t refuse immediately, but he didn’t quite understand the request. He was sure that with the capacity of the psychic energy mass before him, it wouldn’t be difficult to build its own technology tree.

’This thing wants some advanced Imperium technology.’ Aenar thought with a smile. If it were so easy to steal and build his technology, he might as well kill himself at that moment.

"I promise you." Aenar agreed with a smile; he didn’t mind giving a blank check to the being of pure psychic energy before him.

"Alright, I expect to receive it in a thousand years." Kerrigan said with a genuinely happy tone, like a child who had just negotiated something extremely important.

Aenar couldn’t help but look strangely at the mass of psychic energy; he felt like he was intimidating a naive and inexperienced child. Doesn’t she know that the human race is the most treacherous race in the universe?

When the Hive Mind reached the Eye of Terror, it didn’t matter if Aenar paid or not; this insect planet couldn’t leave, as the ruinous forces of chaos would never let it leave the war zone.

So, the Hive Mind was somewhat naive in Aenar’s eyes.

’It seems I have to teach her that humans are treacherous; I hope she likes this lesson and never trusts the enemy again, especially blank checks given by others.’ Aenar thought, suppressing the urge to burst out laughing at that moment.

Kerrigan, who still didn’t know about treacherous human nature, was very happy at that moment. She wanted many technologies from the Imperium of Man to compensate for the flaws of her race. Poor woman, her simulation world never had variables like lies and other treacherous things that the human race was famous for in the universe.

She would learn the hard way how much humans lied.
