"The people should not fear their government. The government should fear its people." Main motto of the rebels in the Exodus from the Imperium of Humanity.

"How's Robb?" Putting the fork with a piece of steak on it in his mouth, Aenar asked with a smile, looking at his longtime friend's granddaughter. The girl looked like Val, although she also resembled the red-haired fish.

Before the eyes of humanity's most powerful man, Lyarra couldn't help but shrink. There was no feeling of oppression, but his mere presence made the air seem more solemn and majestic. Aenar's sons and daughters didn't seem to feel it, but anyone else would feel like they were standing before an unscalable mountain.

"My father is still well, Your Majesty." Lyarra regained her composure and spoke elegantly. She looked at Aenar with a bright gaze and continued speaking. "He continues to hunt in his free time, in addition to patrolling the borders of the fief every month."

"Robb always enjoyed hunting, especially with my uncle Eddard, although he was a terrible shot, always missing arrows, resulting in the prey always escaping." Aenar said with an amused tone, remembering when he was still a mere mortal and insignificant before the things of the world.

"Of course, I was the best archer; if Robb says that's not true, know that he's lying." Aenar spoke, looking at the ambitious girl, an ambition he wanted to see flourish in this court.

Lyarra wanted to laugh, as she had heard the same story many years ago, but the God Emperor's version was entirely different from what she had heard from her grandfather.

However, she dared not laugh in front of the God Emperor of Humanity. Aenar looked at Lyarra and said with a gentle smile.

"I heard you're getting along well with my great-granddaughter." Lyarra's cheeks couldn't help but show a particularly obvious blush against her fair skin. She couldn't imagine that her private affairs would reach the ears of the God Emperor.

"Saera has always been the most ambitious of my great-granddaughters; you two together would make a great couple." Aenar continued speaking with a smile; he was pleasantly surprised that his and Robb's descendants could finally marry!

As for children, that wasn't really a concern in his eyes; genetic science was rapidly advancing, so it wasn't a problem for two women to get pregnant.

"We are still getting to know each other, Your Majesty." Lyarra suppressed the feelings of embarrassment in her chest and said with a smile. At the same time, inside she was almost jumping for joy. It wasn't because of Saera, but because of the Emperor himself. She knew this was her chance to enter the court with the highest levels of treatment.

Lyarra couldn't help but mentally thank her grandfather, who grew up alongside the Emperor, making the two practically brothers in everything. What senators, public officials, and nobles yearned for their entire lives was simply achieved because she was the granddaughter of the man who grew up alongside the God Emperor of Humanity!

Nepotism was only bad because you weren't included in it.

As if reading Lyarra's thoughts, Aenar smiled contentedly. Nepotism will always exist, regardless of any meritocracy system. Parents will always want to give their children an easier life than they lived. It was normal and human; even Aenar was not exempt from this.

Suddenly, as Lyarra was about to start another topic of conversation, she caught sight of a girl approaching. She wore a simple white tunic without any luxury. She was small even among common humans; everyone's first impression of her was that the girl was delicate and fragile, as if she would break at the slightest touch.

"Imperial Father, Reverend Mother Kinvara requests an audience." Naerys bowed and spoke with a respectful tone. It was then that Lyarra finally understood the girl's identity.

Naerys Targaryen, the Maiden!

She renounced her titles, fiefs, and possessions, even the identity of a woman. All to serve the God Emperor of Humanity. Naerys might not be the most famous Targaryen in the universe, but she was definitely adored as the epitome of devotion, faith, and discipline. All young women of the Imperium, regardless of social class, believed in the small woman before Lyarra.

Aenar showed a slightly interested look and nodded his head. "Let her in." He said with a tone of command, something Naerys accepted and moved away, but not before waving amicably to Lyarra, who returned the greeting.

"Naerys is always the descendant I worry about the most." Aenar said with a sigh. "She insists on serving me instead of living her own life."

"That only shows Lady Naerys's determination and faith." Lyarra didn't call Naerys a princess because she felt it was insulting the girl's determination and faith. She herself wouldn't have the courage or determination to abandon everything and serve the God Emperor.

Suddenly, women wearing flowing dresses and veils appeared in the garden where Lyarra was talking with the God Emperor. The women's clothes were solemn, cold, and dull, but exuded an aura that sent shivers down Lyarra's spine.

The Cult of the God Emperor.

It could be said that it was the only organization in the Imperium that had as much power as the Astartes Legions themselves. And the one who commanded this legion of extreme fanatics was Kinvara, the Reverend Mother.

Kinvara had countless names that other races gave her after being enslaved and indoctrinated, but the moniker that best represented her was Butcher of Humanity.

Some might argue that Konrad's Night Lords or Sanguinius's Blood Angels killed the most in the Imperium of Humanity, but Kinvara held that record.

The woman simply initiated a Jihad every century in the name of spreading the God Emperor's name to everyone. Each Jihad, dozens of civilizations were destroyed or enslaved. Entire worlds burned under the pretext that the God Emperor of Humanity was the only true god.

"It's been a while, Kinvara." Aenar greeted his most loyal subordinate with a gentle smile. Although he couldn't see Kinvara's appearance because she was veiled, he could imagine the devoted expression the woman would be showing at that moment.

"Ninety-four years, eleven months, twelve days, and four hours since our last meeting, My God." Kinvara knelt with her forehead touching the ground and spoke with a calm, yet so fanatical tone that it made Lyarra show a rare expression of fear.

She couldn't believe that the most terrifying woman in the universe would be someone like that. Kneeling with her forehead touching the ground was not common; it was a ritual of the Cult of the God Emperor to show the greatest submission to the God Emperor.

Not only Kinvara, but all the women who followed her imitated the Reverend Mother's actions, but they never spoke directly to the Emperor, or rather, they didn't dare or were in pure ecstasy just by being present before the God Emperor.

Aenar nodded, showing little reaction to being treated with such respect and devotion. After a thousand years, he had already grown accustomed to this kind of thing and even found it common. Showing that time changed everything, including himself.

"I come with news from Rhaella, the Dowager Queen." Kinvara raised her head and said with a respectful tone. "The Queen has located the heretics' lair, but so as not to alarm the heretics, the Queen asked that we surround them and begin the purge."

"I gave you full authority to punish heretics, Kinvara. Why did you come to ask permission for something like this?" Aenar was not surprised by the heretics, but by Kinvara's actions.

He gave the Cult of the God Emperor much power, all to spare him many headaches dealing with rebels. Yes, the heretics were rebels who did not accept Aenar's rule or at least wanted more freedom. Naturally, like every dictator, Aenar simply persecuted any rebel or opponent of his government.

Of course, he knew that exterminating these people was simply impossible, as these people were no longer people, but an idea that could spread to all those who felt resentment, pain, and anger against the Imperium of Humanity.

However, even knowing that it was impossible to erase human rebellion, Aenar still continued the political persecution without any hesitation. If he left this group of terrorists alive, the masses could be influenced and the Imperium could be divided in two, so Aenar had only one order to deal with these terrorists... heretics.

Kill, kill, and kill.

(Note: The actions in this chapter are purely fictional; any coincidence with your reality is merely coincidental... cough, I swear it's true...)

"Responding to my Emperor, it's because some senators are involved in the conspiracy." When Kinvara finished speaking, Lyarra's eyes simply widened to the extreme. She couldn't believe a group of heretics could be hidden in the heart of the Imperium!

"It seems Daenerys has been negligent these centuries and allowed these insects to infiltrate the Imperial Senate." Despite his words, Aenar showed no anger; he merely felt that things had become interesting.

It seems that my mind was telling me that everything was too calm and invented something to make my life more chaotic....
