"Only when people are properly fed can they aspire to something more. This was the Imperium, where everyone with a bit of ambition could try to ascend militarily and politically." Princess Alysanne's words to the people of Planetos.

----------

"Cassian Thalor, Septimius Varro, Aemilia Corvus, and Valerius Draconis." As the Emperor's own voice resonated, everyone immediately looked at the four senators, who now wore pale expressions.

However, before the Emperor, they did not attempt to flee; they merely stood up and knelt alongside the other corrupt senators.

"I ask only for loyalty and nothing more, yet you still insist on rebelling against me. Causing wars in the colonies and allowing my enemies to enter my Imperium. All for something called freedom." Aenar spoke in a calm tone, his purple eyes gradually growing colder as he stared at the four senators.

The Imperial Senate was in complete silence, everyone's eyes wide, staring at the four senators with shock and disbelief. They had only imagined that everyone was corrupt, but it seemed it was much more serious.

Although corruption is a serious crime, treason was an even graver one, as it involved not only the person themselves but their entire family. And usually, the penalty for treason was the execution of the individual and their whole family.

"Is it worth risking your life and that of your own family for something as illusory as freedom?" Aenar asked in a calm tone, his eyes reflecting the images of the four people kneeling before him.

Cassian raised his head and looked directly at Aenar, which horrified everyone. This was their god, the greatest ruler of the universe, and a true god in human flesh; many dared not even look at Aenar's feet, much less into his eyes.

"Freedom seems illusory, but it is real. You and your incestuous family control the Imperium like true tyrants. All power is in your hands; not even food has escaped your grasp; everything must pass through the Imperial Spice Guild. Taxes upon taxes, laws upon laws, all to control us, the true power." Cassian spoke with an animated tone; he did not seem afraid. Knowing he would die, he simply said everything he had wanted to for a long time.

"And?" Aenar asked again, as if it were the most obvious thing in the world for him to control everyone. As for the thirst for power, he did not have it, for he shared his own power with his family.

Cassian's eyes widened upon hearing the Emperor's words.

"I made this Imperium, I made you immortal, I made you rich, I made you powerful, I protect you, I am the ladder for you to ascend to power." Aenar found a more comfortable position on his throne and said in a calm tone, as if it were the most obvious thing in the world.

"Isn't it normal for me to control everything?" When Aenar finished, everyone fell silent; even the four rebellious senators' eyes widened in complete shock. "I gave you everything; it's only natural that you give everything to me."

Aenar did not think he was wrong. The people under his rule lived a life everyone desired. Food, water, clothes, and health, all could be bought at extremely low prices. As long as you worked, you would have everything very easily.

If you wanted to be an Astarte, you could be recruited at the Imperial Recruitment Centers; if you wanted to be a civil servant, you could enlist in the Imperial Academy; if you wanted to be a senator, you could enlist in the Officers' Academy.

Aenar gave everyone chances; everyone just needed to strive to climb in life. Although nepotism existed, this nepotism had limits. Useless people would never reach the center of the Imperium's power; only the elite of the elite could enter the Imperial Senate.

It could be said that 80% of the senators present were of plebeian origin who had managed to ascend to power through their own efforts.

"Unfortunately, you still insist on fighting me." Aenar sighed. He did not stand up and spoke in a cold tone. "Naerys, control the four senators and make them kill their families with their own hands."

As Aenar's voice resonated, Naerys, who was behind the Throne, alongside Leda, stepped forward and steadily approached the four senators.

"Cassian Thalor, Septimius Varro, Aemilia Corvus, and Valerius Draconis. For the crime of high treason against the Imperium and the Sacred Emperor, you have been sentenced to execute your own families with your own hands. After the orders are fulfilled, you will be sent to the Inquisition for interrogation." Naerys said in a calm tone, and with a wave of her hand, she controlled the four senators without any difficulty.

The four widened their eyes and tried to resist, but it was a futile effort, as they could not escape Naerys's control. Of all Aenar's sons and daughters, Naerys was the one with the weakest body, but because of this, Naerys's talent for control and psychic energy was simply terrifying.

The harmless and fragile-looking girl was an Alpha-Level Psyker, capable of mass mental manipulation, planetary destruction, or summoning Warp entities, able to rival even future Daemon Princes.

In terms of raw power, Naerys could even surpass Alysanne, who had physical strength capable of destroying entire planets. Unfortunately, Aenar's other sons and daughters were not as talented as the two sisters for obvious reasons.

Alysanne was blessed by the Red Archangel of War, while Naerys was born with a terrifying talent for psychic energy. Although Aenar's blood was strong, his children were born when he was still a mortal, without taking the liquid divinity that Gabriel gave him before leaving.

Cassian wanted to scream and perhaps kill himself to prevent what was happening, but he found himself powerless before the delicate girl. He was just a long-lived mortal; how could he fight an Alpha-level Psyker?

"Leda, go and call Alysanne." Aenar no longer looked at the four ungrateful ants and spoke to the Lady Commander of the Royal Guard.

"Yes, my Emperor." Leda bowed and disappeared like lightning; no one even saw her shadow, showing the woman's terrifying speed.

No one spoke; there was no pity or mercy in the eyes of the other senators. As Aenar had said, the Emperor had given them everything; it was more than normal that he would want loyalty. It was something simple, but some people simply could not feel loyalty or gratitude for someone who had helped them so much.

So, they remained indifferent to Aenar's shockingly cruel orders. After all, it was not their family, so why should they care about the death of complete strangers?

Alysanne arrived in two minutes; not only she came, but the other imperial princes and princesses also arrived after hearing what was happening.

"Alysanne, kneel." Aenar ignored his other sons and daughters and focused on Alysanne. The Imperial Princess did not question anything and accepted the orders, kneeling before Aenar.

"After obtaining the information from the traitors, I order you to command the Adepta Sororitas (Battle Sisters) and purge our beautiful planet of all filth. You have full power to decide who lives and dies; you do not need anyone's permission. No matter who it is, a duke or a commoner, all involved must be killed and decapitated in public." Aenar spoke in a deep and calm tone. He appeared calm, but he was truly upset inside.

He had worked hard to make the Imperium as strong as possible in the shortest time possible, but some idiots really thought they were special and protagonists of a childish story. So, Aenar decided to act more harshly with these rebels.

Since they wanted to die, he would satisfy their desire to die, purging everyone from the planet and the Imperium.

"Yes, Imperial Father." Alysanne placed her hand on her chest and bowed while still kneeling, showing total submission.

Turning to look at his sons and daughters, Aenar ordered in a calm tone. "Since you have come, assist your elder sister in the purge. You have been idle for too long."

The eyes of Aemon, Jaehaerys, Maegor, Baelon, Aegon, and Daenys lit up. They were famous for being the sons of the God Emperor; now they had a chance to gain fame on their own.

Even Aegon could not help but feel happy with his father's impartiality, as he could have chosen only Alysanne, but he gave the chance to all his sons and daughters.

"No dragons." Aenar added in a calm tone. Dragons were too large and powerful to be used on the Mother Planet.

No one complained, knowing how powerful the dragons were, larger than dwarf planets. It was impossible even to land on the planet, much less use them to destroy enemies. If such a thing happened, the entire continent would undoubtedly be decimated.
