"I am the Swarm. Armies will be shattered. Worlds will burn. Now, finally, in this world, vengeance will be mine. For I am the Queen of Blades." - Kerrigan leading the Tyranids.

-------

The War of Talasa Prime was ongoing even after five years. However, even so, it was heading towards a war of ten or even dozens of years.

It wasn't because the four Legions were weak, but because the four legions didn't want to fight on land, where they could use all their power. But, to prevent the proliferation of the Tyranids in this region of the galaxy, the war was being fought in space.

And apart from the Primarchs who could leave their ships and fight in the vacuum of space, common Astartes did not have such powers. So, they were confined to Sword-class Frigates (versatile, heavy laser cannons), and Firestorm-class Frigates (with additional plasma weapons).

The other type of imperial ship was the Imperial Heavy Cruisers like the Avenger-class (focused on massive firepower), and Overlord-class (with long-range armament).

[Note: The time spent creating the ideas for these imperial ships was at least four times longer than writing the chapter. I am not familiar with the terms used in the navy for warships, so I had to study a lot.]

These four imperial ships shone in this star war. However, no matter how brilliant they were, they were no match for the terrifying number of Tyranids, especially in recent years, as more and more Hive Fleets arrived in this region of the galaxy.

The war became a war of attrition; Talasa's planetary defense system itself ran out of neutron warheads, showing how insane this war was.

Inside the Red Tear, Sanguinius had just returned from another battle and took off his helmet, revealing a perfect and beautiful face.

A soldier picked up Sanguinius's helmet and reported with a respectful tone. "My lord, the Emperor will send the Night Lords Legion along with Primarch Konrad as aid in this war."

Sanguinius showed a thoughtful look and nodded, saying with a relieved tone. "Using magic against these insects is good; at least it will prevent advances in the Talasa System."

This was the longest war he had fought in these thousand years of existence; the Tyranids had become a true cancer in the Imperium of Humanity. He personally saw an entire planet being devoured by the insects. This was more terrifying than seeing a planet explode.

"Unfortunately, the Death Star is far from being built." Sanguinius lamented that the Imperium's most destructive weapon was still under construction. A weapon capable of destroying countless planets at once.

In the face of such power, what were these Tyranids? Unfortunately, the Death Star would take centuries to build as it was the first prototype of this type of planetary destruction weapon.

When Sanguinius learned of the existence of this weapon, he was tempted to use it on certain annoying planets, especially those with Orks and Aeldari. Two problematic races bordering the Imperium, especially in the Talasa System.

"How are the other three battlefronts?" Sanguinius asked, sitting in the main seat on the Red Tear's Command Bridge.

"No progress, but the enemy hasn't advanced either. It's worth mentioning that Primarch Titus created an ice asteroid belt." The soldier replied with a calm and firm tone.

Sanguinius was not surprised; although the number of Tyranids was large, they were weak, and imperial ships could fire without rest.

"Sir, Warp fluctuations." Another soldier reported and soon after said. "Warp exit detected."

Looking to the side, Sanguinius saw a gigantic black sword-shaped imperial ship accompanied by other smaller imperial ships.

It was Nightfall, the Gloriana-class imperial battleship of Primarch Konrad Curze, The Nighthunter.

"My brother arrived just in time." Sanguinius's voice echoed on Nightfall's command bridge. Konrad, wearing heavy black armor, sat in the main seat surrounded by darkness and shadows. His sword seemed stained with dried blood, as a slightly metallic smell lingered in the air.

"Sanguinius, you've grown rusty; you couldn't destroy mere insects." Konrad's cold and calm voice, which terrified enemies, echoed on the particularly silent command bridge.

"I want to see you say that when you face hordes of billions of insects one after another." Sanguinius's voice sounded somewhat desperate and helpless. Primarchs were not like Aenar, who had practically unlimited energy. They could be incredible, but they didn't have infinite stamina.

"You make excuses for your incompetence, Sanguinius." Konrad said with a cold tone as he rose from his seat. The Primarch stood proudly almost four meters tall.

"My night hunters, our Emperor calls to stain our blade in the blood of our enemies." Konrad's voice echoed throughout the Night Lords legion. "What shall we do?"

"HUNT, LOCATE, AND DESTROY!!!!"

"HUNT, LOCATE, AND DESTROY!!!!"

"HUNT, LOCATE, AND DESTROY!!!!"

"Then leave the imperial ships and we shall bathe in the blood of our enemies and honor the power we received from our father and emperor."

Konrad's voice continued, his cold and murderous intent making even Sanguinius, who was on the other end of the line, narrow his eyes. He thought his legion was bloodthirsty, but the Night Lords were even more insane.

Sanguinius understood why the Night Lords were the best Legion at conquering worlds; they killed anyone who dared to stand before the Imperium. This is not to say that the other Legions didn't do this, but they did it in gentler terms.

"May the grace of the God-Emperor fall upon you." Konrad gave his last words to his legion and walked to the front of the Command Bridge, where hundreds of soldiers could be seen handling computers, radars, and communicators.

"The entire fleet advance towards the enemy." Konrad ordered coldly. He didn't care about the losses and casualties they would suffer by doing so; he simply gave the order in a cold and calm tone.

Surprisingly, the rest of the fleet accompanied Nightfall without any hesitation; the enormous imperial fleet advanced into the vacuum of space towards the biomechanical ships of the Tyranids.

Fear? No, in the Night Lords Legion, fear was forged into faith, determination, and discipline. Although similar to other legions, Konrad used fear to push his soldiers to the extreme.

"Konrad's temperament is still so crazy." Sanguinius couldn't help but shake his head. He didn't have a soft heart or fear for the lives of his soldiers, but it simply wasn't worth losing the Imperium's precious Astartes fighting mere insects that could be easily killed at long range.

However, seeing the Imperial Fleet of the Night Lords Legion advancing, Sanguinius ordered the Blood Angels to follow behind. Since Konrad wanted to defeat the Tyranids at the cost of losing part of the Legion, Sanguinius would help his brother.

He would never leave a brother to fight alone.

Konrad naturally noticed the Blood Angels Legion following them and couldn't help but show a small smile, but that smile soon disappeared as quickly as it appeared.

Konrad's orders were followed to the letter; the Astartes left their ships and flew as if they were in a planet's orbit. Unlike other Astartes, the Night Lords could survive in the vacuum. The wonder of psychic energy could perform true miracles.

The other Legions had thrusters on their backs, but such a thing was not suitable in the vacuum of space, as there was no way to move with precision and speed. So, instead of unnecessarily losing lives, Titus, Horus, Lion, and Sanguinius opted for a war in the vacuum of space.

However, Konrad didn't need to worry about such things; the Night Lords Astartes were Psykers; even the weakest could use psychic energy to propel themselves with speed, agility, and precision.

Even Queen Kerrigan, who controlled all the Tyranids, did not expect the war to change so drastically in a few seconds. When she realized it, two Gloriana-class imperial warships collided head-on with the Hive Fleets.

The Tyranids had no force fields to defend against attacks, so the two Gloriana-class ships simply tore through the enemy ships from one side to the other like enormous spears. Both ships measured about twenty to thirty kilometers long; they were true mechanical monsters!

Wreckage flew through space as the Hive Fleets were torn into many pieces.

Billions of Tyranids did not stand still and attacked with full force, but the force field shields prevented their advance. They did not care about their own deaths and collided suicidally, trying to penetrate the shields!---------
