Chapter 154: Agora City in Chaos
CHAPTER 154: AGORA CITY IN CHAOS
In front of Erick was a pretty good boat, but one that could camouflage itself very well. In front of it was Elliot, waiting for him along with Jenna, his wife and daughter, both of whom he had already made to wait here.
"I’ve prepared the place for you to go." Elliot said, smiling a little.
"You..."
"Don’t you think so?" Elliot smiled.
In shock, Erick stepped closer. "You don’t look like someone who would do that, right now." He was sincere.
"Haha. Before, when I needed help, you helped me with those guys who wanted to abuse the fact that I was weak. Even though you had the misfortune of becoming a Misfit, I still haven’t forgotten how grateful I felt then."
"You still remember that."
"Haha, of course." Elliot gestured for him to get on.
"Hurry up, take advantage of the darkness to go."
Erick didn’t hesitate. He took his wife and daughter on top of the slightly luxurious yacht and prepared to leave.
"Do you know how to drive yachts?"
"Haha, I learned that lately."
"That’s fine then. It’s a state-of-the-art one, though small. It has the map of the nearby kingdoms nicely marked and will take you wherever you want to go."
"Thanks." Erick smiled and looked at him once more. "I hope we can get together in the future. Don’t get in so much trouble with those guys, let’s have a drink next time."
"Hahaha, don’t die then. We’ll surely meet again."
Erick wasn’t good at saying goodbye, so after nodding to her, he entered the cockpit where his wife and daughter were waiting for him and started the yacht.
They again said goodbye through the window and soon set sail without doing much more. Everything was ready for them to leave, so they could waste no time.
Elliot watched the horizon and the yacht sail away for a few minutes.
"I didn’t expect to get homesick over a silly thing." He said, mocking himself.
Jenna smiled at him. "You have completed what you wanted and what you owed him. It’s normal for you to be sorry."
"Hahaha, I guess you’re right." He hugged her around the waist, and they both returned to the city.
There were things to do, more than just see Erick off.
The situation inside the city had progressed terribly, and by the time the sun had risen, it had barely calmed down.
But by then, the House of Fire was in immense trouble.
Numerous corpses were discovered in crates, as well as hundreds of people ready to be transported.
Chaos broke out in the city.
The news hit hard. Even the judges and the government were in shock.
They knew things about the House of Fire, but... To that level? No one.
The sabotage continued across the board as night fell, but a slaughter of Misfits occurred that night.
Many managed to steal hundreds of thousands and even millions of dollars from the House of Fire, but they managed to defend themselves.
Even so, their trouble was too great, and they entered the dangerous terrain of the legal.
That brought numerous problems.
Inside the House of Fire, some men dressed in black looked at the leaders of the House of Fire.
"They said there would be no trouble."
"We are sorry. We think there is someone important behind it."
"We know that. Do you need to stress the obvious to me?"
"The problem is who it is, not whether or not it exists! We’re not blind, we know it exists!" The men in black became upset.
"It’s hard to say, sir. The government, the guilds, or even the other cities are suspicious. The mobilization of Misfits has been massive. Tens of thousands have attacked the facilities and looted the entire dock in one night. We also have infiltrated spies." Declared the senior leader.
"Sigh." The man in black sighed deeply. "We’ve lost hundreds of important corpses, new blood, and even treasure, with a lot of money. How do they plan to replace all this? It was at your hands that we lost it. In your territory."
The leader lowered his head. He didn’t know what to answer.
Because of what was discovered, the guild itself was in danger, and they were already facing many legal problems. How were they going to worry about secondary issues?
"We’ll find a way to find the culprits." Was the only thing he could answer.
The problem that had occurred here was bigger than the one in Loen, because corpses and abductees from Loen had come here to be transported. So, it was a problem that involved more than one city.
But everyone had their own problems.
In this way, several days passed.
It was now December 6.
Elliot, Jenna, and Jenna’s parents were gathered on the city’s outskirts.
"The rampage won’t stop for now, we’ll make sure those guys bleed what they have to bleed. But are you sure you want to leave like this?"
"We have to go back so we have time to prepare for the leveled leagues, Mr. Jake. If anything serious happens, give us a call."
"Dad, we’ll take advantage of getting into different free dungeons, so we’ll have to leave early. Maybe then we can get some beasts useful to Elliot in the next tournament."
"Tsk, okay then. If we get time, we’ll visit for a bit. Be careful on the way back."
After saying goodbye, they set off down one of the exits out of town in a car Elliot was driving. He was learning to drive.
There were plenty of things to do, but on their way back, they entered different dungeons.
They didn’t drive too fast; they camped and saw scenery during that time. They also went into dungeons, so it took them a whole week to return.
On December 13, they were back.
During that time, they had both gotten quite a bit stronger from the number of dungeons they entered, though most of the Attribute Energy went to Jenna, as she was the one openly killing.
While Elliot simply practiced his control over his summons, he felt it was too important.
From his control over them, to the ability to see through. The latter he wanted to achieve without the need to enter his mind.
It could be done, but it was very complicated.
Thanks to this, he gained 8 points of Sense and 2 of Strength during that week.
At this point, he could raise all his stats above 60 points if he wanted to, but he couldn’t for now.
With the summonings he has, he still doesn’t think he can win the Leveled Leagues. There are true powerhouses there, cultivated exclusively by the guilds.
That’s why he needed at least two new summons. Now that it had been revealed that he was going to participate, they would surely prepare to face his summons.
The thing is, he didn’t want to make common beast summons now. He was looking for exclusive or fairly good ones.
So, returning to the city, he planned to look for them.
But the first thing he did was to give his mother and sister a resting place in a better place, a mountain that they both liked. He decided to buy some of the territory of that place to make it as secret and private as possible.
He also reviewed the items and treasures he had obtained and even some of the money. He had stolen quite a bit this time, but there were items he and Jenna couldn’t use.
They were blocked by something.
The next morning after returning, Elliot and Jenna reported to the guild.
"News of the chaos at the Agora has reached here." Steward said. "Does it have anything to do with you guys?"
"Haha, we just did some small stuff. Nothing worthy."
"Hahaha, yes, those would surely be your words. But the reality is that you’ve thrown an entire city into chaos with your moves. While you don’t have the power to make them tremble with sheer power, your cunning and good choice of targets have done it. I quite admire you."
"All right, Mr. Steward. Enough flattery and such." Elliot was a little uncomfortable about this, so he changed the conversation. "Mr. Steward, I would like to hunt some beasts to make new summonings in preparation for the Leveled Leagues. I’d like them to be special summons or variously shaped. Do you have any suggestions on what Dungeon we could go to?"
"Special summons?" Steward nodded slightly and looked thoughtful. "Recently, a new Rank D Dungeon appeared, its leader is a rather large Basilisk. It’s a slightly special beast, and one that, as a summoning, could be a great increase in your power. No one has cleared it yet, how about it, would you like to try?"
"Basilisk..." Elliot smiled with interest. "I’d like to try it. It would be a nice addition to my arsenal."
Those kinds of beasts are very good for many things, but in general, they usually serve as frontal strengths. They have very powerful attacks and great defense, and space occupation is important in tournament battles, where there isn’t too much room to move around.
"Haha, fine. Then I’ll arrange for you to go with the team." Steward replied. "If I had to say another one...it would be a Raven type. The Shadow Raven of the Dark Forest. It’s one of the most peculiar beasts in Ranks D. No one has killed it yet, even though it’s an old dungeon. If you could hunt it down... It would be awesome to add to your collection."
