CHAPTER 166: BEASTLY WARRIOR OF A THOUSAND BATTLES

He would soon find out.

Without thinking too hard, he attempted, allowing that potion to hit squarely what it was meant to hit. In this case, this power had to strike firmly at the basilisk’s soul.

In doing so, the energy went deep into it, began to make a mess, and drastically changed it. The Essence hidden within him came to light, and the place where Matthew stood changed drastically.

The chains that imprisoned him did not disappear, but they no longer seemed to want to imprison him. They simply stretched out to a great distance and coiled up as if they were going to coil up the world.

Inside that place, the basilisk’s soul grew in plain sight. Subsequently, a landscape of war was created around it. The entire inner world seemed to contain numerous scenarios of great battles that were only visible; no fighting was possible.

But it was interesting.

In all of them, there was one personification: a basilisk battling at the front.

Elliot found this a bit curious and strange, but before he could see any further, information came into his mind through the system.

[The Class: "Great Beastly Warrior" from the summon ’Basilisk’ has evolved to "Beastly Warrior of a Thousand Battles."]

[By the blessing of the Monarch of Energy, the Basilisk Warrior has gained innate intelligence. He can speak.]

Those two messages returned him to his senses, and he looked at the Basilisk.

"Can you speak?" He asked, carefully.

Jenna from the side also looked curious - had he succeeded?

Suddenly, a strange, thick voice rang out.

"Thanks to you, I can do it, Master." He immediately bowed and stuck his head to the floor. "Thank you so much for this blessing! " he exclaimed with a strange joy in his words.

In front of Elliot was a message from the System, just above the basilisk’s head.

[Beastly Warrior of a Thousand Battles.]

| Main Stats are increased by 10 Points permanently. When he is fighting, he gets an increase of 20 Temporary Stats Points in his main stats.

| Magnetic Presence: Systematically attracts all those he considers opponents to attack him. When he is in full battle, only once per battle, he can attract anything with magnetism towards him drastically and suddenly.

| The Energy Armor surrounding his body is also inside him, turning him into a real war machine.

| His Sharp Claws can cut through Titanium, steel, and all types of metals below Adamantium. A good blacksmith could improve them until they become true Adamantium Weapons, as they hide the deepest secrets of metals, thanks to the fact that, for a long time, he was bathed in the dew of the Fallen Gods.

| His Battle Experience will increase with time, thanks to his mentality.

’This is pretty impressive.’ He was surprised by such a cool enhancement.

Putting aside things like the permanent and temporary augmentation, which together added up to 30+ points in battle, that he could transform into Adamantium was the most shocking thing.

Adamantium is so hard to come by, having a summon with adamantium claws would be an amazing advantage.

Though the subject that interested him the most was that of the Fallen Gods.

He was curious: Did it refer to the Beast Gods they had seen in the dungeon where they had obtained it?

If that was so, what exactly was the relationship, rather than its form and energy, that his summoning had, to the body of the real basilisk?

To his knowledge, it shouldn’t have such a close relationship as to inherit such specific things that belonged exclusively to the body.

His ability seemed more and more enigmatic to him. Although he was supposed to know it completely, as all Awakened Ones know their respective abilities, it seemed to be the opposite in his case each time.

He knew just enough and necessary to use it, but was completely unaware of the depth of it.

And the fact that its name was so "powerful"...

He sighed and stopped thinking about nonsense.

There was no need to keep imagining things.

He came back to his senses and patted the basilisk on the head.

"You are my most powerful summoning, so I hope I can count on your help in our upcoming fights and that your ability will help you grow." He spoke.

The Basilisk felt his soul tremble, but he nodded quickly.

"Yes, Master!" replied happily before he was sent back inside.

The room was left alone, and Elliot grabbed all the potions and placed them in front of them.

"It’s been a great success. We’ll count on someone whose level will be close to Master Rank as well." He said, smiling.

"His Class is that good?"

"Yes, we’ll also be able to use him for occasional strategies and highlights."

"Awesome. I didn’t think I’d ever see someone being able to strengthen their summons so much. Besides, they can even talk now..." She sighed with a strange joy. "Do you plan to awaken more of your summons?"

"Hmm, I thought about doing that, but I only have three left, and it’s really expensive to make them. Although I’ll send out for more, I won’t have too much money left for my moves, so I won’t be able to order too many. That’s why I must think carefully about who to use them on." He said and looked at her.

"I was thinking of giving one to Andrew and your father."

"My father?" she frowned. "He doesn’t need it. He doesn’t do Awakened things anymore. He doesn’t go on adventures or into dungeons. He only does political work." She replied quickly.

But he smiled.

"It’s for protection and also one for your mother. We never know what they might be up against now that they’re opposing the House of Fire, so you have to be prepared for anything."

"Oh." She nodded softly; she could understand his concerns. "But... You don’t have too much trouble doing it? It’s best left for your summons. My parents belong to the White Family; not many would dare mess with them."

"It’s okay, they just cost money, and money is something to be spent."

She pursed her lips a little, but nodded.

"You can tell me the prices, and I can help you buy what you need then. I have a lot of money accumulated in the bank lately, and I’m not using it. It’s just sitting there, collecting dust."

"Good. Then I’ll ask you to call your parents, have them come over before the Leveled Leagues are over, to help them awaken. The other one I’ll leave in case Andrew needs it during the tournament."

After they talked about it, they brought up some additional minor issues, and then there was silence between them.

"Do you think this will be our last tournament in town?" she asked suddenly.

Elliot nodded.

"I actually think so. After this, we should leave for the Runic Kingdom. This city... it could fall into chaos with us here."

She gave him a sidelong glance. "You think so too?"

"I’ve noticed strange movements happening everywhere lately."

"Movements? You mean foreigners?"

"Yes, and they are not normal. In fact, Miss Anna seemed to have that same concern. Although she didn’t usually show it, I could see she was making moves on the sly; maybe she was trying to hit on those people."

"You mean the ones that Jeff told us about, the people wearing those gray and black outfits? Those two we saw at the amusement park, they were wearing them."

"They probably belong to the same group. I just don’t know exactly where they’re from. Is there an organization with that symbol among the ones you know of?"

Jenna thought about it for a moment. But none came to her mind.

"I don’t think so. But their insignia isn’t it like a strange cadaver? Or maybe it would be a ball... Maybe with that we could look."

Elliot frowned. "I see it more like a tree surrounded by a large grove or an altar, right?"

"Huh? Why would it be like that? A grove of trees or an altar... I don’t see it." She frowned.

"The insignia could be those two things, from my point of view. It seems to have a dividing stripe, which I don’t think belongs to a head; rather, I think it forms a tree, as above it expands to the sides. But this expansion ends up forming a strange rock altar... Something like that, I see it."

Jenna had never seen it like that, but now that he said it, somehow she felt it made a lot of sense.

Of course, she imagined it would be a slightly holed cadaver, perhaps badly wounded or cursed by something. And since it was half round, it looked like a ball too.

But if he put it as that the expansion of a tree was what gave it the ball shape and that the division in the middle did not belong to a wound, but rather to a tree or the stripe of a round altar...

Well, things seemed to make sense.

The problem was, what was it, why a bunch of trees and an altar?

Elliot saw her so thoughtfully, and he smiled.

"Don’t read too much into it for now. I’ll look into it more in a little while."

She stared at him. "You want to start moving during Level Leagues, don’t you?" she asked.

"Yes." He nodded. "It will be the best time."
