Li Ang stared with displeasure at the receding figure of the Resentful Demon and stowed away his sniper rifle.

Miss Chai, draped in Qinge Armor, flew over and said in a low, ethereal voice, "That thing... it's not human."

Li Ang silently nodded. In his Spiritual Sense, the Resentful Demon, cloaked in black robes, was like a black hole, swallowing any Spiritual Power that drew near and radiating a dense, heavy Demonic Qi.

A demonic spirit?

At this moment, Liu Wu Dai also gracefully arrived. She glanced at the Qinge Armor hovering in midair but didn't expose or question it.

According to the original comic's setting, only a Stand User could see their own and others' Stands. Either this armor had something special about it, or something else was housed within it.

However, since her teammate in the cooperative mission didn't want to divulge anything, she felt no need to inquire further.

Moreover, Liu Wu Dai, with the help of her passive skills, had just clearly seen Li Ang covertly apply something inside the barrels of the sniper rifles with both hands as he took them out.

This teammate seems to have many secrets.

Liu Wu Dai's expression remained neutral as she stayed silent.

Probing too deeply might damage the trust within the team.

"Chase?" Li Ang glanced sideways in the Resentful Demon's direction and asked indifferently.

"Chase." Liu Wu Dai uttered the single word. She quickly pulled a remote-controlled Unmanned Scout Drone from her backpack. With one hand on the control device, she launched the drone out the window towards the Resentful Demon. Simultaneously, she leaped agilely out the window herself. Her other hand shot out a grappling hook that caught the windowsill, slightly slowing her descent. She rolled to a smooth landing, then sprang up like a coil, retracting the hook and sprinting towards the black sedan without a moment's pause.

Li Ang also jumped down. In midair, he grabbed Miss Chai's legs and, aided by her flying Special Effect, landed smoothly as well.

Hmm, that felt rather anticlimactic.

Li Ang and Miss Chai climbed into the back seat. Liu Wu Dai tossed the control device to Li Ang, then slammed the accelerator. The car shot forward, brazenly crashing through the hospital gates in the Grey-white World and heading in the direction the Resentful Demon had fled.

Liu Wu Dai was indeed one of the prospective heirs of the Liu Family, possessing great wealth and resources.

The drone she used was a special model produced by the Special Affairs Bureau. It had a top speed of 90 km/h and could fly at full speed for nearly an hour, more than adequate for urban environments. It was also equipped with a thermal imaging infrared scanner, precise identification, and trajectory Prediction systems, making it ideal for nighttime pursuit.

The drone soared high. Its optical zoom camera scanned the city and located the Resentful Demon stumbling through the air, guiding the rampaging vehicle below as it tore through the city streets.

After chasing for some distance, Li Ang narrowed his eyes, sensing something was amiss. The Resentful Demon wasn't heading towards the more open suburbs but rather towards the bustling downtown area, dense with high-rise buildings.

The distance between them remained consistently at a few hundred meters. Whenever Li Ang tried to lean out of the car to take a shot with his sniper rifle, the Resentful Demon, still clutching the green caterpillar head, would abruptly execute tactical evasive maneuvers. It would duck around tall buildings and continue to ascend, causing Li Ang to lose his firing angle.

He's luring us into the downtown area.

The thought flashed through Li Ang's mind. He immediately put away his sniper rifle and shouted to Liu Wu Dai in the front, "Get ready to brake! Don't crash!"

Liu Wu Dai was still driving recklessly, knocking over any obstacle in their path within the Grey-white World. However, upon hearing Li Ang's words, she instantly understood and slammed on the brakes, causing the car to drift to a stop by the curb of a bustling intersection.

In mid-air, the Resentful Demon, which had been stumbling and on the verge of falling just a second before, suddenly stabilized. It then shot straight up the side of a high-rise building, soaring to a kilometer in the sky.

The two groups of players were now over a kilometer apart. The Ball Technique was instantly canceled, and the black sedan driven by Liu Wu Dai abruptly exited the Grey-white World. Color flooded back into their surroundings.

The black sedan, having suddenly materialized at the edge of the road and occupying the bicycle lane, startled the passing cyclists. Several high school students in school uniforms instinctively swerved their bicycles, but still scraped against the black sedan, causing them to collide and tumble to the ground in a heap.

Despite their fall, they couldn't afford to worry about their injuries. Judging by the sleek curves of the black sedan, its smooth and shiny paint, and the silent, elegantly dressed young woman in the driver's seat, they knew they were in serious trouble.

The high school students scrambled to their feet. They were relieved to see no scratches on the black sedan's paint but still looked nervously at Liu Wu Dai in the driver's seat, afraid the young woman might get out and demand compensation.

Liu Wu Dai, however, had no time to deal with such trifles.

If not for Li Ang's timely warning, she might have become a road menace at the intersection, plowing into countless vehicles and pedestrians, triggering a massive pile-up and getting trapped in the chaos.

Even with Liu Wu Dai's strong composure, she couldn't help but feel a cold sweat prickle her back.

Liu Wu Dai didn't react. Instead, Li Ang, in the back seat, slowly rolled down the window. His face was expressionless as he looked at the high school students, his demeanor reminiscent of Li Dakang from "In the Name of the People."

(Too bad the window was electric, not manual; otherwise, it would have been even more imposing.)

His attire was a bit bizarre—a "cape of righteousness," and even more so the silent figure beside him decked out in Red White Plate armor.

What is this? Some rich cosplayer dressed as a character from One Piece on their way to a convention?

But where would there be a convention this late at night?

Under Li Ang's piercing gaze, the high school students trembled, not daring to utter a word. Finally, Li Ang waved his hand, signaling them to leave. They gratefully rode off on their bicycles.

"We've been tricked."

Li Ang muttered, glancing at the Unmanned Scout Drone's controller. The display showed no sign of the Resentful Demon.

He scoffed, reached into his cloak pocket, and took out a grey Cocoon, about the size of a plastic water cup, from his inventory. He then cracked it open.

Liu Wu Dai's pupils contracted. Through the rearview mirror, she clearly saw an unremarkable greyish-yellow insect crouching inside the broken Cocoon.

The insect stretched its body, its color rapidly shifting from a dull grey to a vibrant orange-yellow, resembling an oversized yellow dragonfly.

Equipment? Or a skill?

Liu Wu Dai pondered silently, her expression unchanging. She watched with outward indifference as Li Ang unwrapped the Cocoon Silk Lines entwined around the Scout Soldier Bee, waking it from its dormant state.

What Li Ang had smeared on the gun barrels earlier were Queen Bee Pheromones.

The Scout Soldier Bee slowly revived. It fluttered its wings, acclimated for a moment, and then, following the lingering scent of Queen Bee Pheromones in the air, shot out the window. WHOOSH! It flew off into the distance.

"Done."

Li Ang said to Liu Wu Dai, "Continue chasing?"

"Chase."

Liu Wu Dai pursed her lips and clenched her jaw.
