CHAPTER 66: THE WHITE WITCH

The proud, black gates of the academy, stood a little bent, with the students and medics around, looking upward with their hearts pounding erratically.

A mountain of pressure pressed down their shoulders, and though it wasn’t malicious or directly threatening... At least to some of them... it was completely suffocating.

There up in the air, was a woman that was known all over Elysium, standing in the air, with that sun acting as her backdrop, as though an angel descended from above.

The bloodlust emanating from her and directed towards a group of figures that stood opposite her however, completely dismissed whatever holy aura one would be expecting from her.

"You’re ordered to stand down, or we would use force against you!"

A cold, and slightly metallic voice warned, as the mechanical figures that hovered in the air from thrust engines, pointed their weapons at Richelle.

Richelle’s gaze remained cold, staring at them as though she could see through them, staring into who... Or rather, what was behind those metal masks for a head.

She didn’t even bother to respond, as with a clench of her fists, the twelve gargantuan mechanoids (mechs/mechas) hovering before her, began to groan and fold into each other, while those who watched from behind, gasped in horror.

Screams erupted from the mechs, sounding so human like that if it was her some years ago, she would have been fooled. However, there was no change in her expression, nor did she care that thousands of people were watching her right now.

*BOOM!!!*

A huge pile of heavy, jumbled metal dropped from the sky, sparking with electricity, and flaming in some parts, but strangely, not giving off any blood, considering they were once mechs, that were supposed to be piloted by people.

Her gaze shifted to the large, white building in the compound, where a pair of grey old eyes stared back at her from a window, unseen by others due to its tinted glass, plus other visual blocking technologies used, but completely useless against her.

"WHAM! WHAM! WHAM!"

Alarms blared over the area, as pitch black pods, streaking through the air, began to arrive around the area, and remained hovering in the air.

The pupils of those who were watching, flew wide open, in shock.

A large explosion had rocked a majority of Elysium, and one of its iconic buildings, was reduced to rubble. Not long after, the footage of the examination was cut after a massive suspicious glitch, and the watchers were left unattended to.

Naturally since the timing was too close to be a coincidence, they all turned to the explosion... Which they’d have done either way, regardless of whether the exam live coverage was still being broadcasted.

One could only imagine the shock on their faces, when they discovered that the person causing this was... The White Witch.

[Apnea55: Damn! It’s the white witch. What is she doing destroying stuff? And she’s strong????]

[Lonely MF: Who knows? I’m more concerned about the sudden footage cut... My sister’s participating too!]

[6ixty xix: Y’all know the white witch’s name is Storme right?]

[Madame: And what’s that information to do with us?]

[Lonely MF: Why was the video cut?! Why aren’t parents calling for an explanation?!]

[6ixty xix: (to @Madame) Are you brain dead?]

[Madame: (to @6ixty xix) Your whole family are retards]

[Dom: (to @Madame) B**ch stfu! He’s unto something.]

[Dom: (to @6ixty xix) Richelle Storme yeah?]

[6ixty xix: (to @Dom) Thank you man. Wasn’t the top student’s name Sean Storme?]

[Hemlock supremacy: (to @6ixty xix) Former top one you mean?]

[Dom: (to @6ixty xix) Yeah... Now that you mention it, is that her brother? Or son? That’ll explain the explosions.]

[Yzzzz: Yoo, she just crumpled people like metal scraps!! Those were mechs with Stage-4 battle power!!!!]

===========================================

"Richelle Storme... You’re under arrest for the destruction of infrastructure, causing civil unrest, and taking lives!"

"Please surrender quietly, or we would be forced to take action."

The announcements was heard all over Elysium, and media channels that were quick enough, already began broadcasting the live footage, and attention was quickly shifted from the students who were being examined to the White Witch.

"Is the council trying my hand?" Richelle asked softly, and everywhere, all-over Elysium, a deafening silence ensued.

The weight of her words made eyes go wide in shock, to those who understood what she was talking about.

Medias that were reporting and live streaming, immediately began to shut down their broadcasts against outrage, before more harm could be done.

Some of them didn’t even know what or who the council was, but they were smart enough to know that if it was something being said at this time, then it was highly important.

And the fact the public didn’t know, that meant it was probably classified information.

Richelle’s gaze remained staring right into the grey old pupils on the side of the glass, she knew he could hear her, and if he could, then all of them could.

Not only had they insulted her and her brother when he was in danger, they also wanted to disparage her publicly? Using what? Murder? Did they think she was stupid? Or that other people were?

"Why is he not out yet?" Richelle asked again.

"MISS RICHELLE!" A voice called from below, as a man in military uniform ascended upwards his expression betraying the fact that he was trying to maintain his composure.

Richelle’s gaze shifted towards him, and he felt like his whole body was dropped in ice.

His ascending hoverboard immediately paused its upward movements, and he spoke hurriedly.

"I’m afraid we cannot retrieve the Young Master Sean Storme now. The spatial barrier we put in place to limit the number of out-worlders, somehow collapsed. Every participant is stuck inside for now."

The man spat everything out at once. He was standing before a Stage-5!

A Stage-5!

’Wasn’t she known to be an ordinary human?’

He had asked himself this question severally in his heart, as he saw her power. Infact, he had even tried to pull Sean out, despite the council’s order, but was unsuccessful.

The council’s order was infallible, enough to even restrain Nox... The Nox.

But as the White Witch stood before him now, ready to take his head at any second, he couldn’t help but ask himself.

Where was the council now?
