CHAPTER 427: DANGERS WITHIN GOD RUINS (PART-1)
The air shifted. The outside world grew distant. At that instant they seemed to be disconnected from Rion, and right in front of them a new world seemed to have appeared.
The sky above wasn’t truly a sky but a swirling expanse of shattered stars and drifting fragments of broken constellations.
The ground beneath their feet pulsed faintly, as though it were alive, humming with a power that predated ancient times. Black stone plains stretched endlessly in every direction, cracked and veined with glowing silver lines that formed strange, ever-shifting patterns—runes older than history itself.
It appeared to be a perfect world with powerful essence rules permeated through the land. The moment they arrived, everyone instinctively held their breath.
They were all geniuses and had a deep understanding of their various laws, as all of them felt improvement in their understanding of laws. Even Apollo felt understanding rules here was dozens of times faster than outside.
"This..." someone whispered, their voice trembling with awe and excitement.
"This is the God Ruins."
There weren’t other groups from Rion here, only the group of warriors from the eastern continent.
"Okay, friends, we need to be careful. Let’s go." Lucifer’s calm but firm voice snapped the group from their thoughts. His expression remained composed, but a faint glint in his eyes betrayed the weight of his schemes. Subtly, without anyone else noticing, he gave a hidden signal to the late-stage Eternal God following him.
The group began to move forward in an orderly line, treading through the luminous ground. The laws in the air grew thicker the deeper they went.
Apollo’s eyes narrowed slightly, a faint glow flickering within them. But he said nothing. He merely adjusted his steps and silently followed, his senses expanding to take in every ripple of law and killing intent around them.
They steadily move forward and can see the god ruins are vast and should be bigger than the current Rion. All of them needed to be careful, as they didn’t know what dangers were hidden in it.
As they advanced deeper into the ruins, the pressure of the place became more apparent. Their spiritual sense, normally sharp and far-reaching, was forced down as though submerged under a crushing tide. Even Eternal Gods could only perceive a fraction of their usual range.
The dangers within the god ruins were unimaginable, and they cannot be careless for any moment.
It was then that Apollo’s eyes flickered. "There," he murmured under his breath.
The two Eternal God realm elders at Lucifer’s side also stiffened, their instincts screaming danger.
The next moment, from the shadows of the broken ruins ahead, figures emerged.
Tall. Muscular. Savage.
The first of them stepped into view, its ten-foot frame towering over the group. It had the head of a wolf, its fur midnight black, fangs glinting with cold malice. Its claws scraped against the stone with a sound like blades on metal.
’Werewolves.’
Apollo recognised the creature instantly—an ancient species born from blood and chaos, famous for their brutality and pack instincts.
Where one was found, more were never far behind.
And sure enough, the air around them shifted again. Shadows rippled. Dozens of blood-red eyes appeared in the dark, staring hungrily at their prey.
The atmosphere turned tense. Even the peaks of the True Gods behind Lucifer instinctively gripped their weapons tighter. The late-stage Eternal God moved a step forward, his aura beginning to flare like a shield protecting Lucifer.
"Prepare yourselves," another Eternal god realm warrior muttered. "They won’t wait long to strike."
The werewolves growled in eerie unison, the sound vibrating through the ruins like the drumbeat of an oncoming hunt.
All of the werewolves’ auras were above the Void god realm, and many seemed to have reached the True god realm.
There was also one who appeared to be a bit different from the other werewolves, as it was taller than the others, and his fur had red spots on his eyes and claws. His aura also seemed to have surpassed the True God realm.
Feeling this mysterious and terrifying werewolf, the expression of two eternal gods changed a bit, but they quickly calmed down. From the lead beast’s throat came a low, wet rumble that rolled through the ruins like distant thunder.
"Grr... food."
"Kill them." The strongest werewolf commanded.
A dozen shadows lunged from the fractured stones, a tidal wave of fangs and claws. Space around their limbs seemed to twist; each swipe left faint, shimmering scars on the air itself.
Lucifer’s hand tightened on the hilt at his hip. The late-stage Eternal God beside him stepped forward, palms glowing with divine formation, ready to shield him. The younger True Gods braced, light gathering like storms at their backs.
"Form a perimeter!" one of the elders barked.
The Sacred Light warriors obeyed, a living wall of power surging up. But in the cracks between their formations, the werewolves tore like living storms—fast, merciless, and hungry for blood.
The werewolves seemed to be a kind of beast, but they were extraordinarily strong; their physiques seemed to surpass most, and their claws were stronger than low-grade divine weapons.
The battle has begun.
Boom!
Bang!
Boom!
The two groups collided, creating an explosion that tore the land. Shockwaves rippled through the ancient ruins, tearing cracks across the land and hurling dust and shattered stone into the air. Divine light clashed with bestial fury, the impact rumbling like thunder trapped beneath the ground.
But thankfully it was within the god ruins, as the power of void gods or true gods was suppressed heavily; even the Eternal God cannot completely destroy this land.
Apollo’s sword tore through the first wave like a streak of starlight, splitting a charging werewolf clean in half. Blood sprayed across the cracked stones, and the metallic scent mingled with the thick aura of divine power.
He calmly faced these werewolves and easily killed the Void god and some true god realm beasts. If he wanted, he could quickly kill all the werewolves here, but he didn’t do it, as he wanted to see how others fight.
Facing these enemies, his focus was on others, especially the three eternal gods, as he wanted to see their strength.
