Genshin x Minecraft: Building the Temple of Virtue
Chapter 299: 299: The Totem Plan
After getting scolded by Ningguang, Dashi quickly straightened his expression and nodded solemnly.
"Yes, Lady Ningguang! The Qianyan Army will never forget its mission. We will always put Liyue first!"
Only then did Ningguang nod in satisfaction and fall silent.
Dashi let out a quiet sigh of relief, then hurriedly changed the subject and looked to Ryen.
"Lord Ryen, are there any specific requirements for the new bases we're going to scout and build?"
"Nothing too specific," Ryen shook his head, then added,
"But one thing is important—make sure the surrounding area is rich in resources.
"Especially mineral resources. We need large quantities of ores to serve as the foundation for our modern weapon modules."
"As for the usual stuff—like mob farms and other common infrastructure—I won't bother repeating it. Just make sure you build them."
"And beyond that, keep an eye out for any of this world's unique regions or structures."
At this point, Ryen paused and tapped the table.
"When exploring and scouting for new bases, pay close attention to whether there are any Pillager Outposts along the way. If you find one, contact me immediately."
"We're going to need to build a Totem of Undying farm."
"And when activating Lucky Blocks, let the person in the group with the best luck open them. If a Lucky Egg is obtained, make sure to save it."
"Activate them remotely and avoid standing too close—those things are dangerous."
"Also, you may come across buildings other than villages during your travels. To be safe, do not explore them casually."
"If you encounter any, contact me first so I can assess the situation."
"As for everything else, just avoid powerful monsters—Deathclaws and such."
"With your firepower, you shouldn't run into major problems in this world. Just be cautious."
Dashi carefully took notes and, after a while, nodded firmly.
"Understood, Lord Ryen!"
Standing nearby, Keqing added her own instructions as soon as Ryen finished.
"Don't neglect the construction of the new city either. The newly arrived Qianyan soldiers should be familiar with the basic building procedures by now, right?"
Dashi nodded without hesitation.
"They can handle the basics. When it comes to more complex structures, like mob farms, only a handful of them have mastered it so far."
"That's fine then."
Keqing gave a soft chuckle, her tone easing.
"Distribute the 1,000 soldiers wisely. For the time being, Liyue doesn't plan to send more people into this world."
"The areas around Bases One and Two have been mostly mined out. Have them clean out the auto-generated resources in all nearby buildings at set intervals."
"Then, let them start city construction according to the blueprints. Based on your judgment, how long until completion?"
Dashi was briefly stunned, then thought for a moment and replied decisively:
"The main framework is basically done. What's left are the more tedious details. For them, it'll probably take a little over a month."
"Should I leave some miners behind to guide them?"
The Qianyan Army members were all definitely going out to explore the world—they couldn't be left idle.
However, the miners weren't exactly adventurous types, nor did they have as much combat experience. So it was probably best to leave some of them behind.
Hearing Dashi's suggestion, Keqing nodded slightly.
"No need to force it. Your new base's buildings, even setting up camp at night, will still require the miners' help."
"Ask who's willing to stay behind and let them guide the others."
Dashi earnestly jotted everything down again.
At the end, he looked at Ryen curiously and asked,
"Lord Ryen, is there anything else?"
"Not for now. Go retrieve the rest of the Wither Skeleton Skulls," Ryen replied.
"Then pack up. Once you've finalized the personnel and timing over the next few days, just let us know and you can head out."
Upon hearing this, Dashi immediately stood up and gave a quick response before hurrying out the door.
This upcoming expedition would be the first time the Qianyan Army went out on their own—an official test of everything they'd learned so far.
The Qianyan soldiers—like Dashi and the others—had already spent over two months in the Minecraft world.
They were now much more familiar with it.
There wasn't much to worry about anyway—they were equipped with modern firearms.
Even when splitting into three teams for exploration, each group would still have over 500 members.
Plus, every team would bring along several hundred wolves.
With that kind of manpower, they could handle most dangers with ease—and likely without suffering a single injury.
Originally, immortals were supposed to lead the teams.
After all, immortals could still wield significant power in this world.
Having one present would've put Ningguang and the others at ease.
But that was no longer possible.
Not only was the exploration of the Twilight Forest world going to need all the powerful forces available,
the immortals were still anxious about reviving their fallen brethren.
They probably wouldn't want to take on such a task right now.
Dashi moved quickly—he must've sprinted the entire way.
Before long, he returned with the remaining Wither Skeleton Skulls.
He hurriedly handed them to Ryen, who nodded and told him to go assign duties to the new recruits from the Qianyan Army and the Knights of Favonius.
Ryen had initially planned to tease Zhongli and the others a bit,
but seeing how anxious they looked, he gave up on the idea.
He went straight outside, mounted his dragon, and headed directly to Mine Shaft No. 1 instead of returning to the estate.
The mine had been properly reinforced to ensure a long-term supply of Nether Stars in the future.
Though it was called a mine, it had essentially been transformed into an execution arena for Wither Storms.
The entire area had been reinforced with obsidian.
Although Wither Storms could still absorb obsidian, at least this way the explosions wouldn't destroy too much of the surroundings.
In the future, if they acquired more bedrock, they could probably create a bedrock cage specifically for killing Withers.
Speaking of bedrock, ever since arriving in this world today, Ryen had been hounded by Zhongli and the others to revive the immortals—
he hadn't had the chance to input the command to obtain any.
But bedrock could be acquired any time.
Reviving the immortals took priority.
