Getting spoiled in a woman dominating world
Chapter 265: Ruined the date [2]
CHAPTER 265: RUINED THE DATE [2]
Crushing the skull of a C-class aberrant, Yverine glanced at Clarisse "Oh, she is also here."
Clarisse’s body turned into a whirlwind of crimson petals and the petals swirled on the ground as she reappeared amidst the petals.
She glanced around at the battlefield and smiled faintly looking at the girls trying their best to fight "You have done well; i am proud of you... From here on, leave it to us."
The women looked at her with hearts in their eyes "Lady Clarisse, you are so cool."
"Lady Clarisse, I love you!" one girl blurted, nearly dropping her spear in excitement.
Brandon’s eyes narrowed ’Us?’
SWOOSH! In the next instant, he heard a sound whipping through the air and the head of another B-rank aberrant was blasted to pieces.
Noticing at the trajectory of the shot, Brandon turned his head and looked at the beautiful woman standing in the place Clarisse was just seconds ago.
Her long, dark hair whipped past in the air as her silver eyes had a keen precision, and she had a gun in her hand.
Brandon raised an eyebrow ’She is...’
Yverine stepped closer to him and murmured "That’s Senior Sehra, one of the members of Council of Seven."
(A-n: Check Chapter 181 if you have forgotten her)
As if sensing his gaze Sehra’s eyes flickered towards Brandon and her lips curled into a small smile.
Then, without breaking eye contact, she slid the bolt on her rifle with a smooth *chk-kt* and turned her sights back to the rupture.
Her fingers squeezed the trigger-
BANG!
Another C-rank aberrant dropped before it even realized it had been targeted with its core split in two.
Huh? Brandon’s eyes narrowed ’Did she just smile at me?’
The air was filled with the violent rustle of thousands of crimson rose petals.
They exploded outward in a spiraling storm, blinding the aberrants.
Within that swirling veil, Clarisse’s body became a blur.
The nearest B-rank aberrant roared and swung a claw as it sliced through the rose storm and missed.
SLEESH! Clarisse reappeared behind it and a thin crimson arc traced the air as the blade passed cleanly through the monster’s neck.
For a split second, the aberrant’s body didn’t register the cut and then its head slid off.
The petals converged again before her, spinning faster and faster.
She stepped through them as if walking on a gentle breeze, closing the distance to the next B-rank before it could even react.
SWOOSH!
She raised her sword and the entire front half of the creature separated from the rest.
Its body crashed to the ground in two twitching pieces, steaming where the cut had passed.
Gasps erupted from the surrounding students.
"She didn’t even use ether for that..."
"She’s unreal..."
Clarisse’s petals spread outward, weaving through the battlefield like a living tide.
Any aberrant that touched the petals slowed, with their movements dulled.
And in that slowing came death... her blade flashed, killing them effortlessly.
Three B-ranks down in under seven seconds.
Clarisse’s eyes narrowed faintly. She lifted her free hand, and the petals surged upward, forming a spiraling column around her.
SHHHK!
The entire column collapsed inward and a flash of silver light erupted from within, and the giant B-rank let out a strangled, wet gurgle.
"GRAARGHHH!!!"
Its massive body slid apart diagonally, collapsing into two clean halves before hitting the ground with a bone-shaking crash.
She glanced over her shoulder at Brandon, Yverine, and the rest of the students.
"Clear the rest; reinforcements are on their way."
The students erupted in cheers and their morale surged to the point where even the junior first-years fought like veterans.
Yverine also dashed forward to kill some aberrants.
As Brandon was about to move again, someone suddenly hugged him from behind.
"Eh-?" He froze mid-step, blinking, because the last thing he expected in the middle of a battlefield was a back hug.
"Hmm~ how are you, my dear boyfriend?" he heard a sultry right against his ear.
Brandon tilted his head just enough to glance over his shoulder and found himself staring into a familiar pair of bright, amused eyes.
"Astrid," he said flatly.
She smiled as if he just greeted her with flowers.
Without warning, she leaned forward and pressed her lips to his lips.
His mind blanked for half a second and he could hear the clash of weapons, the roars of aberrants, and the shouts of the academy’s fighters... yet here she was, kissing him like they were meeting at a café.
When she finally pulled back, she tightened her arms around him, her cheek pressing to his back "Been a while since I last saw you, my boyfriend."
Brandon let out a deep sigh "I am not your boyfriend."
Astrid only grinned wider, tilting her head to look up at him "You just say that, but I know you like me. I can see it in your eyes."
He gave her a flat stare "The only thing in my eyes right now is the image of you getting in my way while there are monsters trying to kill us."
She poked his cheek playfully "Exactly. You’re worried about me~."
"Astrid..." Brandon reached down and gently grasped her hand before muttering "If you’re going to annoy me, at least help by killing some aberrants."
Upon hearing this, she laughed and raised her arms "Ah, that I can’t."
His brow furrowed "Why not?"
She gave a dramatic shrug "Because, my dear boyfriend, my skill isn’t for combat. It only excels in research and analysis."
Brandon stared at her for a moment, then glanced back at the aberrants tearing into the buildings.
Astrid hugged him again, this time even tighter, and said with puppy eyes "So... protect me, boyfriend."
Some of the women who were fighting were dumbfounded to see him hugging Astrid.
"Is he flirting in the middle of a battle?"
"Well, i did hear that they are dating."
"Eh, i thought they were rumors."
Brandon’s lips twitched ’Can they fight without gossiping?’
He looked back at Astrid and sighed faintly "Then stick close to me."
With a grin, she nodded "Yes, yes boyfriend."
