Ghost Catching System
Chapter 166 My Life’s Stain_1
CHAPTER 166: CHAPTER 166 MY LIFE’S STAIN_1
Chu Hao smirked inwardly. She kicked me out yesterday, and I’ve been bottling this up all night! Serves her right.
Qiu Xueying was furious. This guy was really pushing his luck, his hand creeping further and further up her thigh.
"Chu Hao, these words are so simple. Do you really not know them?"
Chu Hao feigned utter bewilderment. "I really don’t," he said. "If I did, I wouldn’t ask."
You just keep pretending, kid, Qiu Xueying thought, gritting her teeth. She suddenly moved to sit beside Chu Hao. "Fine, Teacher will teach you."
As they spoke, the two engaged in an "intense" discussion about vocabulary. Under the table, however, the interaction was infinitely more charged than any study session.
Qiu Xueying first pressed down hard on Chu Hao’s thigh and pinched fiercely. He gasped, the sharp pain almost making him cry out.
Chu Hao grimaced, the pain almost unbearable.
She glared at Chu Hao. I’m going to pinch you black and blue! she thought.
Chu Hao clenched his teeth; it really was excruciating.
But then, his hand shot out and pinched Qiu Xueying back, just as hard! He showed no mercy.
Qiu Xueying let out a soft cry. She was wearing thin clothes, and Chu Hao’s pinch actually sent a peculiar thrill through her!
Qiu Xueying quickly stood up and backed away, her face burning. "Chu Hao," she said, "if there’s anything else you don’t understand, ask me again."
With that, she was about to leave.
Chu Hao, feeling triumphant, pouted. "Teacher, I don’t get this problem either, hey."
Qiu Xueying glared at him, ignored him completely, and walked out quickly.
Outside the classroom, Qiu Xueying’s breath came in short gasps. She silently cursed Chu Hao for his audacity.
At the same time, a strange feeling stirred within her. If it had been anyone else, I’d have probably blown my top by now. But with him... I actually wanted to retaliate. Isn’t that just...flirting? What on earth is wrong with me? He’s my student!
Inside the classroom, Li Yin whispered, "I heard someone saw Wang Shan yesterday. Wasn’t he dead? Could it be his ghost that appeared?"
Chu Hao nodded. "Indeed, it was a ghost. I’ll exterminate him tonight."
Li Yin whispered, his voice a mix of excitement and thrill, "That awesome? I want to go check it out too!"
Chu Hao shook his head. "You? Forget it. Brother Hao is worried you’ll wet your pants in fear. That’d be too embarrassing."
Li Yin said angrily, "Are you looking down on Brother Yin? People call me the Little Prince of Horror! I can watch scary movies for three days and nights straight without batting an eye!"
Chu Hao just said, "...Alright, you win."
Right after class ended, someone entered the classroom holding a bouquet of roses and approached Mu Yuxun.
Who else could it be but Qin Feng?
Qin Feng looked very handsome in a blue suit, drawing screams from the girls. The classroom doorway quickly filled with onlookers, forming a large crowd.
Especially a group of ’dinosaur girls,’ their faces pressed against the classroom window, noses practically touching the glass as they craned their necks. When they saw Qin Feng approaching Mu Yuxun with flowers, their hearts shattered.
Li Yin sneered. "This guy’s such a poser," he said jealously. "Does he think the school is some kind of stage? Wearing a suit and leather shoes, strutting around like a peacock."
"AAH! My idol, please no!"
"It’s over! Qin Feng is going to confess to Mu Yuxun."
"Hey, hey... honestly, those two do look good together. Is he really going to confess?"
Qin Feng walked over to Mu Yuxun, smiled like a gentleman, and said, "These flowers are for you. Not for any particular reason, I just think they suit you. You still smell the same, Yu Xun. It’s been too long."
How could any girl’s heart not melt at those words?
"AAH! So heartwarming! I wish I were Mu Yuxun!"
"Damn, he’s laying it on thick," Li Yin couldn’t help muttering.
"If you’re so great, why don’t you try being romantic like that?" a ’dinosaur girl’ with mismatched eyes retorted.
Li Yin shuddered. "With you? I wouldn’t even know where to start."
"How rude!"
Chu Hao and Li Yin both felt a wave of disgust, almost gagging.
Mu Yuxun felt awkward. She didn’t want to accept the flowers, but she didn’t want to refuse them either. She had absolutely no romantic feelings for Qin Feng.
Seeing Mu Yuxun’s hesitation, Qin Feng smiled. "Uncle Jackie Chan told me to take good care of you at school," he said. "But I think you’ll be the one taking care of me; you’re a better student. Please accept these flowers as a small token of appreciation for your future tutoring."
"Alright... Okay then." Mu Yuxun finally took the flowers.
Truthfully, what girl doesn’t like flowers? She was quite pleased, and with so many people watching, it was a definite ego boost.
Mu Yuxun and Qin Feng had known each other since childhood; their fathers were acquaintances.
"Qin Feng is such a gentleman! Oh my god, they’re a perfect match—so handsome and beautiful together!"
"My idol! How could you be so smitten?"
This whole scene was so sickeningly sweet it made Chu Hao and Li Yin want to puke. They decided to leave.
Just then, Qin Feng suddenly spotted Chu Hao. "Classmate," he asked casually, "what’s your name?"
Li Yin tugged Chu Hao’s sleeve. "Hey, he’s talking to you."
Chu Hao folded his arms. "Yeah? What’s up?"
Qin Feng straightened his clothes, his expression bright and handsome. "Classmate," he said, "decorum is a fundamental quality. I hope you can refrain from being as ill-mannered as you were previously."
Li Yin glared. Was this guy looking for trouble?
Chu Hao sized up Qin Feng. This guy really thinks he’s hot stuff, huh? Barging into our classroom to hit on girls and then calling *me* ill-mannered?
Chu Hao was no longer the timid boy he once was. "If a dog bites someone, you don’t bite the dog back, do you?" he said nonchalantly.
Qin Feng’s eyes narrowed. "You owe me an apology."
Chu Hao scoffed, "TSK, TSK... Some people are so shameless, they think they’re above everyone else. Why should I apologize to you? What gives you the right to demand an apology from me?"
"You ill-mannered lout!" Qin Feng said angrily.
"Who are you calling ill-mannered?" Chu Hao retorted, his anger flaring. "Since when is it your place to judge my manners? You damn phony, what are you, anyway?"
"DING! Host has successfully acted pretentiously, earning 100 Pretentiousness Points."
Qin Feng felt a flicker of anger. His usual gentlemanly act was useless here.
However, he was a well-known figure. Arguing with Chu Hao would only lower his own standing. So he said coldly, "A scholar can’t reason with a brute."
Qin Feng turned to leave.
"Qin Feng’s right; that guy just has no manners."
"Yeah! Yeah! Whatever Qin Feng says is right! Qin Feng is so handsome!"
Chu Hao really couldn’t stand these brainless fans. "Hold on," he called out.
Qin Feng turned back. "What else is there?"
"You barge into our classroom, accuse me of lacking manners, and slander my character? This is a stain on my reputation! You think I’ll let you just walk away without an apology?" Chu Hao said coldly.
Qin Feng frowned. "What do you want?"
"An apology," Chu Hao demanded. "Right here, in front of everyone. You can leave when I’m satisfied, and not a moment sooner."
His words sent the room into an uproar.
"PAH! Shameless! He’s just trying to ride Qin Feng’s coattails!"
"Exactly! Qin Feng is so handsome. Why should he apologize to someone like *him*?"
"’A stain on his reputation’? How can he be so shameless?"
