Chapter 181 Seeing Father and Daughter Again_1
CHAPTER 181: CHAPTER 181 SEEING FATHER AND DAUGHTER AGAIN_1
Ke Ke was still her usual self, recovering very quickly.
Chu Hao felt awkward upon seeing Ke Ke. That little girl wasn’t conscious at the time, was she? If she knew what she had done to him, who knows what her expression would be.
Chu Hao quickly shook off such thoughts. Ke Ke is a flower of the motherland; why am I thinking such things?
"Uncle, what a coincidence?" Chu Hao remarked.
Ke Ke’s father smiled. "Today, I’ve finally caught you."
Chu Hao felt a pang of guilt. Could it be that their little incident... Ke Ke’s and mine... had been discovered? No way!
Ke Ke’s father said, "You saved my daughter and me. Last time it was too late to thank you properly, so this time we must. Come eat with us."
Chu Hao had intended to refuse, but Ke Ke leaned against the car window and said, "Yeah!! Big Brother, I haven’t thanked you yet! Thank you for saving Dad."
Chu Hao chuckled. "You’re too kind. It was nothing, really."
Ke Ke’s father urged, "Hurry and get in the car. Today, Uncle is going to have a proper drink with you, and no refusals this time."
Chu Hao rubbed his stomach; he was indeed a bit hungry. "Alright then," he said.
Once in the car, Ke Ke was very excited. The little girl was her usual self, clearly just out of school, wearing her middle school uniform. Her ample chest was practically bursting out of it.
She grabbed Chu Hao’s arm, asking all sorts of questions. "It’s such a shame! Ke Ke was asleep at the time. Otherwise, I could have seen Big Brother vanquishing demons!"
Ke Ke’s father said, "What’s so good to see about that?"
Ke Ke’s father’s face darkened. If his daughter had seen him sitting on that chair, spewing forth his... lineage... he would have wanted to die.
"HMPH!! Dad, you’re biased! Were you so scared you peed your pants then? Ke Ke saw lots of white ’pee’ on your trousers!"
Chu Hao and Ke Ke’s father broke out in a cold sweat. That wasn’t pee...
Ke Ke’s father quickly changed the subject. "Young Master Chu, thank you so much for last time. I really can’t say it enough."
Chu Hao smiled. "It was nothing at all. The important thing is that you’re both alright."
Ke Ke blinked. "Big Brother, can you tell Ke Ke how you vanquished the demons?"
Ke Ke’s father gave a wry smile. "Young Master Chu, please don’t mind her. This girl really worships you now."
Haha... Brother Hao has fans now!
Arriving at the apartment complex, Ke Ke’s father went to cook, planning to prepare several good dishes to go with drinks.
Ke Ke’s father brought out the dishes and said, "Today, you must have a few good drinks with your Uncle."
"No problem."
Chu Hao discovered he quite liked drinking too. He enjoyed that hazy, tipsy feeling, as if his soul were drifting out of his body.
The three of them were eating and chatting when the doorbell rang. Ke Ke’s father went to answer it.
Ke Ke said, "Sleep with Ke Ke tonight?"
Sure! Chu Hao thought for a split second, before internally yelling, Sure, my foot!
Chu Hao put on a stern expression. "Absolutely not."
The little girl immediately looked disgruntled and ate with her head down, sulking.
"What are you doing here?" Ke Ke’s dad’s voice was heard.
A woman’s voice replied, "Can’t I come see my daughter?"
Two people walked into the living room. When Ke Ke saw one of them, a middle-aged woman, she exclaimed in pleasant surprise, "Mom!"
Ke Ke’s mom was about forty years old but very well-maintained. However, she had noticeable bags under her eyes, as if from poor sleep.
Besides Ke Ke’s mom, there was another person: a young man around thirty.
It was clear that Ke Ke’s dad was very angry and obviously did not welcome these two.
Chen Ming, the young man Ke Ke’s mom had brought, smiled and said, "Ke Ke, long time no see."
Ke Ke snorted, clearly disliking Chen Ming.
"Call him Uncle Chen Ming," Ke Ke’s mom said.
"I won’t," Ke Ke retorted.
"This child," Ke Ke’s mom sighed.
At the dinner table, Chu Hao distinctly sensed an indescribable aura emanating from Ke Ke’s mom and Chen Ming.
