Ghost Catching System
Chapter 430 - 429: Big One
CHAPTER 430: CHAPTER 429: BIG ONE
"So you’re a smiling tiger, huh?" Chen Taofen exclaimed. "We have some history, don’t we? And now you want to arrest Brother Hao without a second thought!"
Little Ying’s face turned cold. "Chen Taofen, do you think I don’t exist? There’s a helicopter outside, filled with ammunition and missiles. If you want to die, I wouldn’t advise it. I’ll send you straight to heaven."
Upon hearing this, Chen Taofen’s expression changed drastically. "Don’t mess around!"
This is the Imperial Capital. If something truly happened here, it would be sensational.
Little Ying sneered, utterly fearless this time. "Chu Hao, I don’t have time to waste with you. Hand over the Emperor’s Yellow Seal immediately! Otherwise, I’ll blow this place up."
Chen Taofen looked at Chu Hao and asked in surprise, "The Emperor’s Yellow Seal is with you?"
Chen Taofen and his two companions had originally entered the Ancient Tomb searching for any trace of the Emperor’s Yellow Seal. They hadn’t expected it to actually be found, and in Chu Hao’s hands.
Brother Hao isn’t saying he won’t give it to you. Is it necessary to be so loud? And what’s with that disdainful look? You’re clearly not taking me seriously.
Hearing Little Ying threaten to blow up the place, the people at the gathering all turned pale. Could there really be a terrorist here?
Chen Taofen said with a frosty expression, "Chu Hao, the Emperor’s Yellow Seal is of great importance. You can’t give it to her. Otherwise, you’ll be a criminal."
Chu Hao felt even more annoyed. You’re all ganging up on me! So, should I give it to her or not?
Chu Hao put on a sour face. "Are you two done talking?"
Both of them frowned.
Chu Hao said, "The Emperor’s Yellow Seal is with me. It seems that no matter who I give it to, I’ll be threatened by the other, right? In that case, why don’t you two fight it out? I’ll give it to whoever wins."
Little Ying sneered, slightly lifting her hand.
"BANG!"
A loud noise came from outside the window. A sniper bullet flew in, aimed straight for Chu Hao.
Chu Hao’s expression changed dramatically. Even with his quick reflexes, he couldn’t dodge in time.
He saw his left shoulder get hit, a bullet blasting a bloody hole through it.
"Chu Hao!" Yi Qingcheng and Tang Mo cried out.
The whole venue descended into chaos as people frantically fled for their lives. Today was truly unlucky, attending a gathering only to encounter a terrorist.
Chu Hao clutched his bleeding left shoulder. Little Ying laughed coldly, "I see you’re not made of steel after all. You can be hurt."
This woman... she actually fired.
This was just a warning. If that bullet had actually hit his head, it would have been catastrophic.
Death was only an instant away.
Chu Hao immediately understood. This was the true power of ill-fated pretentiousness; he had almost died today.
Little Ying looked at Yi Qingcheng and Tang Mo, her voice cold. "I’m counting to three. If you don’t hand over the Emperor’s Yellow Seal to me, everyone here connected to you will die."
Chen Taofen’s complexion also looked terrible. These people are insane, driven mad by the Emperor’s Yellow Seal, daring to attack in the Imperial Capital!
Little Ying said coldly, "Chen Taofen, don’t even think about any tricks. If you dare to let your men make a move, I’ll blow this place up immediately."
This woman has definitely gone mad.
Everyone’s gaze was fixed on Chu Hao, who stood with his head bowed, his left shoulder bleeding continuously.
Chu Hao was terrified, but more than that, he was seething with anger. He asked the System, "System, is there anything that can block the force of a sniper bullet?"
The System responded, "The Night Demon Umbrella in its defensive state should do the trick."
Chu Hao abruptly raised his head. His eyes, ice-cold and filled with murderous intent, stared at Little Ying.
Those eyes were like a wild beast’s, and at that moment, an extremely terrifying aura radiated from him.
Chu Hao said coldly, "You don’t actually think you can take me down like this? I can tell you now, you little fish, you’ve completely infuriated this Taoist Master! Today, no one is leaving!"
With that, he suddenly ran towards the building’s window, aiming for the helicopter outside.
This is the seventy-second floor!
What is he planning to do?
Little Ying was shocked and yelled, "Fire!"
The sniper on the helicopter had been ready. He was puzzled about what the target intended to do, but as a mercenary sniper, he instantly made the decision and fired.
"BANG!"
The high-caliber bullet once again pierced the glass, heading straight for Chu Hao’s forehead.
Before the sniper could shoot, Chu Hao had already drawn the Night Demon Blade and shouted, "Night Demon Umbrella!"
A black umbrella appeared in front of Chu Hao, blocking the bullet. Despite the bullet’s immense power, the umbrella deflected it.
The sniper was stunned, but it was already too late.
"Ritian Stick, extend!"
A Golden Iron Rod appeared in Chu Hao’s hand and instantly elongated at incredible speed, stretching out in a flash.
The sniper had no time to react before he was struck by the extending Ritian Stick, catapulted from the helicopter, and plummeted from the sky, his body shattering on impact.
Everyone stared, agape. What was that thing that grew so long in an instant?
Little Ying gasped in astonishment.
Very decisively, Little Ying commanded, "Launch! Launch the missile quickly!"
The people in the helicopter came to their senses, adjusted their aim, and fired a missile at that floor of the building.
In the night sky, a streak of white light flashed. Everyone screamed, throwing themselves to the ground.
We’re doomed!
Everyone thought the same thing: that was a missile. It could blow up the entire floor in an instant.
The instant the missile was launched, only this sound was heard.
The Ritian Stick instantly grew enormous, reaching over ten meters in length and thick enough for a person to embrace. It struck the incoming missile with perfect accuracy.
"BOOM!"
A tremendous explosion echoed through the night sky. The shockwave shattered the building’s windows, and everyone instinctively dove to the ground, their ears ringing from the deafening roar—a testament to the missile’s destructive power.
"What is that?!" the men on the helicopter exclaimed, staring in shock at the Golden Iron Rod that had blocked the missile.
The Ritian Stick returned to its original size and spun wildly as it flew toward the helicopter.
"BANG!"
The helicopter was cleaved in half by the iron rod and plummeted from the sky.
The people in the building, still dazed, hadn’t yet recovered from the missile’s shockwave.
Only a few people witnessed this scene, especially Little Ying, whose jaw had practically dropped to the floor.
Little Ying slumped to the ground, terrified out of her wits.
At that moment, those who had thrown themselves to the ground slowly opened their eyes and stood up. Their faces were pale, and they were completely clueless about what had just happened.
Some saw a blaze below the building. Was that the wreckage of the helicopter?
Chu Hao, shouldering the Ritian Stick, stared at Little Ying and her people with cold, emotionless eyes. "Now, try blowing something up for me to see."
"Ding... Host has successfully been pretentious, awarding 900 Pretentiousness Points."
"Ding... Host has carried out a supremely shocking act of pretentiousness, awarding 1800 Pretentiousness Points."
Chen Taofen and his two companions stared, their mouths agape, wide enough to fit a washbasin. Just a moment ago, they thought they were going to die.
And then, Chu Hao directly took down the helicopter. Is this guy Superman?
And what the heck was that Golden Iron Rod in his hand?
Could it actually be the Ruyi Golden Hoop?
