Ghost Exorciser: The Oust Fake Heiress Strikes
Chapter 43: Child Molester?
CHAPTER 43: CHAPTER 43: CHILD MOLESTER?
The worst kind of teammates were pig teammates. And now Lana believed it.
She had locked the door, but she forgot to ask for all the possible master keys they might have for the room.
What made her even more furious was... they even believed Xander! What the f*ck? Does she look like a child molester?
Xander smirked as if he had finally found a loophole, and he was correct. The next second, he lifted his hand, and Mathilda and the maid both crashed on the floor.
He slowly clenched his fist, like he was crushing something, which in reality he was indeed doing.
Mathilda and the maid flailed their arms around, struggling for the breath knocked out of their lungs, their face turned as red as a cooked shrimp.
"¡Si caigo... los llevaré conmigo! ¡Jaja! (If I go down... I will take them with me! Haha!)" Xander laughed as the black liquid trickling down his lips increased even more.
Even with the talismans on, he seemed peaceful, as if he had achieved whatever he wanted to.
Lana gritted her teeth and cursed under her breath. She slowly tried to shift her other hand in the direction of Mathilda.
However, Xander, as if waiting for this exact moment, bore the pain and lunged at Lana.
When the cold hand burning her skin wrapped around her neck, Lana could feel her life flying away from her body.
Feeling the air getting drained from her neck and the searing pain of her skin getting scalded made Lana’s eyes budge.
Yet, she ignored her instincts to claw at Xander and took out the talismans and threw them in the air.
The worst possible action for such of situation was to try and fight against evil having the upper hand.
Her mind analyzed the situation in an orderly manner, and the moment all the remaining talismans struck Xander, he shrieked and threw Lana toward one of the walls.
Lana was slammed against the wall; crimson hot blood started to pour out of her head, slowly painting her beautiful pale face and silvery hair with red.
Though aesthetically pleasing, only Lana knew the burning pain spreading across her body.
’Damn it! If I don’t let this ghost suffer as much as I have did then my name won’t be Lana!’
"Lana! Now!" Mr. Crow’s voice cut through the air, attracting Lana’s attention.
In an instant, Lana’s eyes brightened like scattered stars in the universe.
’Finally.’
The second, Mr. Crow, appeared with the same statue Lana had taken away from Mathilda. However, on a closer look, it wasn’t the same.
In fact, the one in Mr. Crow’s hand was of a much darker shade.
The reason why Mr. Crow didn’t help Lana in the fight is that the statue assisting the Spanish ghost wasn’t just one.
It was two. The statues came in pairs.
One of them was the real core, while the other was the vessel.
And Lana got to know this secret because of the small hole under the vessel statue when comparing the photos of the statue with the one available on the internet.
This minute detail led her to read many different articles before she realized that another defense artifact was in production but was never mass-produced.
These twin statues were even more harmful than the previous statue. While the previous statue could only assist the ghost and act as a defense, the twin statue kind of made the ghost immortal.
The core of the ghost was stored in the main twin statue, while the assistance is done with the vessel.
When Lana realized the truth, she knew that exorcism alone couldn’t be used to defeat the ghost.
Hence, when she entered the room, she was alone. Because she had sent Mr. Crow to look for the main statue.
It was also the reason why, even when Lana almost used up all her power and talismans, the ghost was still in a condition to play such trickery.
Xander, burning with the searing pain of the talisman, was stunned. His eyes widened, and he tried to lunge at Mr. Crow.
Mr. Crow used his psychic energy to dodge him; his eye was brimming with disdain.
Lana, with difficulty, gathered the last ounce of her power, and the next second, a pure blue energy strand shot out from her fingertips to the statue.
An agonizing scream echoed in the empty silence, yet this time it was hoarse and unpleasant to hear, unlike the human voice the ghost was using before.
Lana watched with her eyes as the ghost inside Xander struggled and tried to escape. Its face, made of dark mist, stretched out of Xander’s body with a painful expression.
"Ahhh!"
Just when Lana thought that she would need to insert her mystic energy again, a ghostly figure in a light projection-like state flew out.
"Is he trying to escape?" Lana asked, her heart pounding loudly against her ears, and she almost lifted her hands again to create a barrier, only to hear Mr. Crow’s steady voice.
"Don’t worry, he will not survive."
The tension in Lana’s body slowly slipped away; even she didn’t realize that slowly... she had started to trust Mr. Crow.
Just as Mr. Crow had predicted, before the ghost could even escape, it was disintegrated into minute atomic particles, losing its existence entirely.
Once the ghost left Xander’s voice, Xander’s body collapsed on the ground like a rag doll devoid of any strength.
Lana didn’t dare to relax and stared at her surroundings with a wary gaze.
"Any more ghosts?"
Knowing that Lana’s mystic energy was drained, Mr. Crow used his psychic energy and didn’t find any trace of evil energy left.
"No." He replied in a serious voice, then shifted his focus to the wound on Lana’s forehead, worry clouding his eyes as he said, "You should get treated."
"Hm." Lana nodded weakly and, biting back the urge to cry from pain, stood up with trembling legs.
Before she could even take a step, she heard the sound of footsteps.
