CHAPTER 542: CHAPTER 273: MOLUO’S BRAIN, SECOND-TRANSITION CHALLENGE! (FIVE-IN-ONE, 8/8)_2
By this time, his avatar, Zhui Yi, had already finished his morning classes and returned to his room to wait.
As soon as Chen Mo returned, he immediately felt a connection originating from his soul. Instantly, all the memories of Zhui Yi’s morning experiences transferred to him, imprinted directly onto his soul.
This was the first time Chen Mo had experienced such a marvelous sensation. He easily and clearly perceived everything Zhui Yi had experienced that morning, as if he had lived through it himself.
This included all the knowledge Zhui Yi had learned; it was as if Chen Mo himself had personally studied and mastered it all.
Having an avatar feels really great!
This feeling of effortlessly learning whatever he desired was truly exhilarating!
If only he’d had such an obedient, hard-working, and diligent avatar in his previous life, he would have been living the dream.
While Chen Mo received memories and knowledge from his avatar, the avatar, in turn, received a significant enhancement from Chen Mo’s main body.
All the ability enhancements Chen Mo had acquired in the dungeon this time were directly synced to his avatar.
"Zhui Yi has done a good job," Chen Mo said, looking at his avatar, though he was momentarily unsure how else to praise him.
Zhui Yi replied, "It is my honor to receive your approval, Master. It is my duty to serve you wholeheartedly. Please continue to command me for any task you desire."
Chen Mo nodded with a smile and began to check his challenge tasks.
Now that he had enough experience points, it was time to prepare for the second-transition challenge.
However, before undertaking the second-transition challenge, Chen Mo first used Divine Flicker to teleport instantly to the Academy Alliance.
He planned to process the materials he obtained in the dungeon and purchase the tradable materials for Undying Worship and Infinite Healing Wave. Since he had just acquired the necessary non-tradable materials for their synthesis from the dungeon, he could now upgrade two abilities.
Upon leaving the Supply Bureau of the Academy Alliance Headquarters, Chen Mo now possessed over nine thousand eternal gold coins.
After returning home, Chen Mo immediately began synthesizing.
The first ability he synthesized was Undying Worship, which would enhance the Skeleton Monster’s combat power. After some consideration, Chen Mo concluded that the Skeleton Monster’s current combat capabilities were quite comprehensive. Any further enhancements should focus on attack speed or special attack attributes.
He threw all the materials into the synthesis slot.
When the synthesis results appeared, Chen Mo glanced at the ten available options. However, none of them seemed particularly appealing.
They were all negligible improvements, so Chen Mo refreshed the options immediately.
After refreshing three times, Chen Mo finally saw two promising options.
...
[Godspeed Worship]: Increases movement speed by 100%.
...
[Destruction Worship]: Increases damage dealt to enemies with less than 50% of their life value by 100%.
Previously, Chen Mo had copied the Rapid March skill to increase the Skeleton Monster’s movement speed. Usually, the Skeleton Monster’s movement speed wasn’t critical, but it could be crucial at times, so having this ability prepared was definitely beneficial. Destruction Worship, on the other hand, could significantly boost attack power. Many abilities in this world only trigger when a target’s Health drops to a certain percentage. Therefore, possessing the ability to exert greater pressure on low-Health units was highly advantageous, especially when an enemy was about to trigger their own abilities.
However, these still didn’t quite hit the mark, so Chen Mo refreshed them again.
After three more refreshes, Chen Mo suddenly spotted an exceptionally powerful trait.
[Shield Worship]: When you possess a shield, your attack speed and movement speed increase by 100%, and all damage you inflict gains an additional 1% of your current shield points.
Seeing this trait, Chen Mo was immediately overjoyed. Didn’t this give him all the abilities he wanted? Not only did it provide movement speed, but it also granted attack speed and bonus damage! Considering the current magnitude of his shield, even 1% of its value would translate into formidable additional damage! This upgrade was simply massive!
Without hesitation, Chen Mo selected the Shield Worship trait.
[Shield Worship·Black]
Profession: Skeleton Mage
Level Requirement: 5
Cooldown: 60 seconds
Effect: Consumes 100 Energy. Launches Shield Worship on all summoned creatures within a range of ’Profession Star Level × 200 meters.’ This increases their attack speed and attack power by 200% and applies Null and Despair debuffs to their attacks (stackable).
If the summoned creatures possess a shield, they gain an additional 100% movement speed and attack speed, and their attacks inflict bonus damage equal to 1% of their current shield points.
Simultaneously, they gain the ’Immortal’ and ’Flying’ abilities for the duration of the effect.
If an enhanced unit dies while the effect is active, it will inflict Death Curse on its killer, increasing all damage the killer sustains by 5% (stackable).
The Shield Worship buff is permanent, but its effects do not stack if reapplied to the same unit.
Selectable Effects: Death, Despair, Flying, Null, Immortal, Shield.
After finalizing Shield Worship, Chen Mo immediately placed the three Infinite Healing Wave skill books into the synthesis slot.
Regarding this ability, since it could bounce infinitely, it would be best to grant it effects that could trigger multiple times. However, the skill had a significant drawback: if a target dodged the returning wave, it would automatically stop if it failed to hit anyone.
