CHAPTER 281: CHAPTER 221: WALL PENETRATION TECHNOLOGY

Facing the gaping mouth of the vampire in front of him, large enough to swallow him whole, Rosen’s expression turned cold. He swung a big haymaker, directly sending the vampire tumbling head over heels, rolling on the ground a hundred times.

Taking advantage of the vampire’s hundred spins on the ground that weren’t finished yet, Rosen quickly fled into the passageway.

The vampire’s spinning was like a countdown of a hundred; soon he would come to catch Rosen, so Rosen had to find a hiding place before the countdown ended, as he must not be caught.

Rosen realized the passage was straight, with nowhere to hide.

"It seems this Underground Palace is too vast. A corridor that might be a hundred meters outside could be ten thousand meters here. I must speed up quickly."

Rosen thought of the principle of biogas fermentation. If he could prepare this combustible gas in a short time and ignite it to create jet flames, perhaps he could propel himself forward to reach escape velocity.

As for how to produce biogas, it’s an organic compound, usually derived from the incomplete fermentation of crop straw in a sealed space, forming a mixture of various combustible gases, mainly ammonia and methane. Rosen naturally has the ability to produce ammonia and methane since his body possesses this function.

"I can use my intestines to produce biogas, and just use the ducts to release it. All I need to do is ignite it behind me."

Considering the ingredients for producing biogas, eggs, bananas, and so on, Rosen conveniently had a breakfast.

After filling up at breakfast, Rosen conveyed his thoughts to his stomach, making it work at high speed, while mentally instructing his liver to secrete digestive juice rapidly.

In no time, Rosen felt a stream of gas being transported through his ducts, about to erupt.

"Ignition!"

The next moment, a lighter appeared in Rosen’s hand, which he tossed behind him. The explosion shockwave from the lighter’s burst propelled him forward.

Indeed, just the explosive power of the liquid fuel inside the lighter was enough to push him forward.

Hence, having breakfast was a complete waste of effort for Rosen.

Yet, it wasn’t entirely in vain; after all, there’s a saying that skipping breakfast is like consuming waste in the morning, not eating breakfast means your stomach and intestines will churn, absorbing the energy of waste, which isn’t much different from eating waste.

Rosen was very relieved he didn’t choose to go on an empty stomach; that would easily cause physical issues.

Just as Rosen managed to blast himself free and escape the vampire, his body didn’t lose any blood. Even so, he would still need to donate blood later, so it didn’t make much difference.

Seeing that the vampire behind him was unlikely to catch up, Rosen braked in mid-air.

This is where the breakfast Rosen had eaten came into play.

The energy he used to brake was entirely provided by breakfast. However, it was also to counteract the propelling force from the liquid fuel explosion. Rosen depleted his leftover food from the night before and now found himself in an extremely hungry state. If this continued, he wouldn’t last a minute before starving.

He took out his phone and set a one-minute countdown. Rosen had to find a cafeteria before the countdown ended, but his main problem right now was the uncertainty of a cafeteria’s existence in this Underground Palace.

After all, places like these are usually sealed, with only buffet options and no cafeteria, given that the Underground Palace is filled with corpses.

Rosen wiped the saliva from the corner of his mouth: "Oh my, what am I thinking? I can’t be so desperate for food that I’d eat a corpse. How would that differ from being a ghoul?"

"If I eat, it must be cooked food."

Fortunately, before the sixty-second countdown ended, Rosen successfully found a Demon Race’s tomb.

It was a goose monster’s tomb, and Rosen thought of roast goose, so he began to excavate the goose monster’s body, which he quickly unearthed.

Seeing the goose monster’s body, Rosen decided to heat the pan with oil.

Crispy fried, every bite a crunch.

He wasn’t even concerned if these bodies had expired, as it was surely safer than ordering takeout.

Rosen always had stomach troubles from takeout, whereas eating a buffet was much more comfortable.

Just after Rosen filled himself with a hearty buffet, he suddenly realized a problem: considering this place was the Ancient Tomb Palace, there surely must be a terrifying Demon God guarding it. By eating a buffet, the aroma likely spread, attracting danger toward him.

Thinking of this, Rosen surveyed his surroundings cautiously.

In the distant sky, a giant golden eye appeared.

The eye blinked every two seconds, indicating it was an organic eye. Otherwise, blinking wouldn’t be necessary, as it’s done to keep the eyes moist.

Once Rosen confirmed the eye was of flesh and blood, he wasn’t so afraid: "This must be the weakest amongst the Demon Gods."

Rosen saw the name on top of the eye Demon God and realized it was a One-star Demon God.

A One-star Demon God is the weakest among Demon Gods. Even so, the weakest Demon God can easily kill the strongest demon of the Demon Race.

Rosen’s current power could defeat the strongest demon of the Demon Race, yet a One-star Demon God was still an insurmountable challenge for him.
