Standing on the rooftop of the building they occupied, Cain and Vincent analyzed the situation of the building where the group of humans were stranded.

The building was a few stories tall, and appeared to be a dormitory of sorts.

The entrance to the building was completely occupied by roaming monsters. There were even some monsters in the building. They moved all around the building, circling it, leaving no opportunity for Cain and there others to sneak in from the ground, as they would be surrounded and quickly overwhelmed. Individually, although these monsters didn't seem very powerful, if they managed to form an entrapment around them, they were as good as dead. After all, bone of them had defenses strong enough to tank the attacks of so many monsters at once.

Their only option on getting to the other building and saving the people hiding over there, would have to be above the ground.

Cain's plan could only work, if he somehow found a way to transfer everyone other there efficiently and swiftly, without alerting the monsters on the ground, as they would immediately rush into the building if they noticed them.

The only reason those in the building had managed to survive even with so many monsters in the vicinity, was because they were hiding in a safe room, and had not yet been noticed by the monsters who had done a clean sweep of the building, but had not yet noticed them. However, that was only a temporary fix, as these monsters were also intelligent creatures, and it was highly likely that they would be discovered sooner than later.

"How's it looking, Vincent?" Cain asked in a low voice. His right eye glowing a faint blue, and a crosshairs mark appearing on his iris

"Well... good news is they haven't been discovered yet, bad news is I really don't see how we can get over to that building. The gap's was too much."

What Vincent said was completely true. The distance between buildings was indeed too much, but he had failed to factor in Cain's powers.

As Cain quickly finished putting his thoughts in order, he asked Vincent to step back, which he did while watching Cain in puzzlement, unsure of what he was about to do.

Cain formed a metal arrow that had a very long metal wire to it that was formed from stretching the ductile bladed devil metal forearms out until they turned into wired. After testing the strength of the wire many times by tugging on it and confirming that it would not snap under weight, he pulled his arm back like he was drawing a bow. The arrow he had made followed suit and positioned itself in the air.

Upon releasing his fingers that were holding the imaginary arrow, the real arrow flew out like as though it was launched from a bow. It crossed the distance very quickly, and embedded itself into the wall of the other building. It flew so fast, it traveled through the wall all the way to the fletching.

Tugging on the line to make sure it was well secured, he proceeded to make a trolley which was attached to the wire he made, creating a DIY zipline. The other end of the wire was then attached to the wall of the building they were on. As there wasn't much of a difference in height between the two buildings, the zipline should be able to work fine.

"Boss... You don't expect me to get on that do you?!" Vincent said while looking at Cain with tears at the corner of his eyes. He was scared the wire was too thin to hold his weight, and would snap when he tried to get too the other building.

"Relax. You don't need to go. Your job here is already done. All you need to do is to provide cover fire should things go wrong."

All Cain needed him for was to locate where exactly in the building were the people who needed rescuing were.

The others who Cain had requested for were on the rooftop. They all stared at the other building mentally preparing themselves.

"If you know you don't want to go, I won't force you, as this mission will most likely be dangerous."

Turning his head back slightly, Cain said to the others gathered around him.

"What do you take me for! I ain't no pussy!" Manny said while puffing his chest out.

Susan just rolled her eyes at him, but clearly was not going to back out. If anything, she looked a little excited.

Evangeline just stared at his with a smile.

"Alright. Here's the plan..." Cain said.

"To get to the other side and back, we are going to need this zipline. Vincent, your job is to keep an eye over the zipline. Remember to stay out of sight."

"Roger that!"

"Manny, you and I will be on the offensive. We will clear the path, and hold off any monsters that may appear at anytime. Remember, our job is to protect and fend off the monsters from attacking the group after we have rescued them..."

"Kekekeke! I've been dieing for some action!" Manny said excitedly.

"Evangeline, you will have to scout out the most efficient path we can take to get in and out without encountering too many enemies. Susan, you will be in charge of organizing all the people that we rescue. We must make sure they are all orderly so this mission can go as smoothly as possible. I know you have experience in doing that...."

"Sure..."

"Alright!"

Once he had assigned roles to all of them, they quickly got one the zipline one by one. The last to use it was Cain, while Vincent was left on the other building.

The zipline was attached to the roof of the building, and the people they needed to save were located on the 4th floor of the seven storey building.

The mission would have been a while lot easier if they didn't have to encounter too many monsters on the way. Sadly, the entire building was crawling with monsters who were looking to find even the slightest scent of humans. Although these monsters were strong and had great defenses, apparently, they had relatively weak senses. If not, they would have found out about those hiding ages ago.

Upon landing on the roof, they proceeded into the building through the stairwells. Upon reaching the 4th. floor's entrance, Cain slightly opened the door and observed to see if there were any monsters lurking nearby.
