CHAPTER 166: THREE WAY BATTLE[1]

The current ranking was as follows:

1. Martial Palace - 4800 points

2. Adventurer Guild - 3500 points

3. Holy Church - 3000 points

4. Olympus Guild - 3000 points

Seeing the drastic jump in the rankings, at first there was shock, disbelief—then the viewing centre erupted into chaos.

"Martial Palace just overtook everyone!!"

"No freaking way! They jumped all the way to first place!"

"Such weaklings, all that big talk and now they just cower in fear!"

The announcer snapped out of her trance-like state and screamed into her mic.

"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!!! WE HAVE A HUGE SHAKE-UP!!! MARTIAL PALACE HAS LEAPED TO NUMBER ONE!!!"

The roar of Martial Palace fans drowned everything else. People stomped their feet, fists pumped into the air, and the stadium-like viewing centre was filled with chants of Martial Palace and Liang’s name.

Meanwhile, Damian stared at the mysterious man beside him, utterly shaken. "You were right... cultivators... they’re monsters."

The man smirked, as if he already knew this was how everything would turn out. "This is only the beginning. Once the cultivation paths return to prominence, I fear the so-called supremacy of mages and warriors will be threatened."

As he said this, there was a hint of sadness, which made it easy for Damian to tell this person was not a cultivator.

Olympus Guild...

Jack Arefield stared at the sudden jump in rankings, a strange light flashing across his eyes.

"I can’t find the White Flame Guild on the ranking anymore. It seems Lina eliminated those weaklings," Aria commented calmly, stepping past the corpses of dead monsters.

Jack frowned. Since the beginning of the third day, they had only encountered a couple of monsters, which barely made a difference in the ranking.

Putting two and two together, it was easy to tell the reason. On the second day, they had killed thousands of monsters, and the remaining ones had fled back into the wilderness, afraid of their fate.

And the Inter-Guild Display Event only required guilds to clear the wilderness surrounding the Vermilion Kingdom, not extending to the neighboring kingdoms’ borders.

"If we want to increase our points, our best bet is to start targeting guilds too," Aria suggested.

"That seems to be the only way." Jack yawned, flicking a stray tear from his face.

Even though the Olympus Guild was currently in third place and this being the last day, he remained calm and almost bored.

"So, which of them should we eliminate first?" Aria asked, almost as if deciding. "We have the Holy Church, the Adventurer Guild, and the Martial Palace."

After a moment of thought, Jack smirked. "How about anyone that crosses our path?"

Aria grinned knowingly and quickly ordered a number of their best scouts to find out the position of their rival guilds.

Some time later, the first scout returned. "Vice Leader, Miss Aria, the Adventurer Guild and the Holy Church seem to be in dispute over a dungeon. From the looks of things, they’ll clash any moment now."

Hearing this, Jack smiled. "Let’s head west then. Getting rid of the two of them would automatically make us the winner of the competition!"

And with that, the Olympus Guild marched towards the west.

---

Back outside the dungeon, Alofonso smiled wickedly as Gary’s group shifted uncomfortably.

"Three minutes," Alofonso repeated softly. "That’s how long you’ll last if you choose death."

Gary clenched his fists. His throat was dry and his thoughts were chaotic.

A part of him wanted to hold back at least until the squad inside finished clearing the dungeon.

And another part wanted to surrender to avoid casualties. They weren’t like the otherworlders. Death was permanent!

After a moment of pondering, Gary arrived at a conclusion. He looked at Alofonso and the dark summon with resolute eyes.

"We... we refuse your offer." His words were firm—but his heart wavered.

Because deep down, he knew... facing the Holy Church here might mean their complete annihilation.

"I know, she likes this outcome as well." Alofonso smirked, looking at the summon in front of him. Leaning close to the black entity, he whispered, "Do... as you wish!"

"Hold up!"

Suddenly a voice boomed through the surroundings, sounding as if it came from all directions.

Gary immediately spun around, his eyes widening in surprise. From within the treeline, two figures slowly walked out. One was a tall young man with golden hair and a sharp grin plastered across his face.

Next to him followed a beautiful lady adorned with countless pieces of jewelry.

These people were none other than Jack Arefield and Aria.

And behind them, members of the Olympus Guild appeared one after the other. Their numbers paled in comparison to the Adventurer Guild or Holy Church, but each one of them carried an oppressive aura.

As soon as the people in the viewing centre saw them, the crowd went into an uproar.

"IT’S JACK! JACK AREFIELD IS HERE!!"

"OLYMPUS FINALLY MAKES THEIR MOVE!"

"Wait... wait... if they are here as well, then this is about to turn into a three-way bloodbath!"

The forum exploded immediately:

Denis_Bouhier: HOLY SH*T JACK SHOWED UP!!!

Pokémon Master: ARIA LOOKS LIKE SHE IS ABOUT TO SLAUGHTER EVERYONE!

Chris_Herrmann: ADVENTURER GUILD + HOLY CHURCH + OLYMPUS?! BRO, THIS IS ENDGAME!!!

Beau_Moore: This is why Olympus is number one in the real world! Jack does not care who is in front of him!!

Alofonso’s expression changed at the sight of these newcomers, but he quickly put on a brave face.

"Oh? I was thinking only insects were buzzing around in this dungeon. Who would have thought that even the so-called Olympus dogs would also come sniffing around?" he said mockingly.

Aria’s cold eyes flashed, and her tone was flat but sharp. "Be careful, priest. If you dare to mock us again, I will separate your tongue from your mouth."

Behind Alofonso, the summon let out a low growl, its huge body shifting as if ready to strike at any moment.

Jack yawned loudly, completely ignoring the thick killing intent in the air. "Relax, relax. There is no need to be so tense," he said, waving a hand casually. "We only came for the same thing you did... Points."

Gary’s heart skipped a beat. "Damn it... Olympus too?!" he cursed under his breath. Cold sweat dripped down his forehead. Facing the Holy Church alone was already suicide, but now with Olympus joining in, their chances of survival dropped to nearly zero.
