God-Tier Extraction Talent: Reincarnated in a Game-like World!
Chapter 242: Level 10 Achieved!
CHAPTER 242: LEVEL 10 ACHIEVED!
"And he just vanished like that," Logan thought, eyes not leaving the spot where Gabriel had been before.
Suddenly, while he was still in a trance-like state, it hit him.
"Wait a minute." His eyes widened slowly. "Did he just call himself Sir Broken?"
At first, the words hadn’t registered in his mind until after Gabriel had fully left. The reason he didn’t notice at first was because Broken Heaven didn’t wear a mask.
But this person...
’I did notice he had blue eyes and a strand of red hair sticking out,’ he started to recall the small detail he had overlooked earlier.
Although rare in this game world, Logan had seen NPCs with red hair before, so he didn’t think much of it. But now that he remembered those piercing, intense eyes, the strand of hair, the 6’2 height, and that quiet confidence he walked with...
"Fuck! Fuck! This can’t be—don’t tell me I just fumbled the legendary Sir Broken!" Logan was still in denial, refusing to believe it. He quickly logged into the game and searched Broken Heaven.
There were countless clips showcasing moments of him fighting—even the recent one that occurred on the Northern Trade Route out in the wilderness.
He subconsciously compared their builds, and his eyes widened more with each passing second as things started coming together.
He compared their walking styles—it was the same... that silent, confident gait with a little bit of arrogance.
’If it was truly him, what would he do with a bunch of offerings? He wouldn’t stoop that low, would he?’
Right then, he stumbled across another video clip—this one showcasing Broken Heaven’s battle with the High Cardinal Alfonzo.
It showed a cold, emotionless Sir Broken towering over the armored cardinal, who was writhing on the ground and crying for his life.
Logan remembered that particular clip had caused quite a stir back then.
’I did hear from Samantha and the others that Sir Broken doesn’t get along with the church. Let’s see.’ He pressed his lips together, his face serious, and began typing on the forum search bar:
Sir Broken vs The Holy Church.
After a few seconds of loading, thousands of comments and hundreds of videos from the past appeared. The first few comments caught his attention:
...
Tabitha_Olivee: I knew Sir Broken had beef with the Church since the time he sent the beta players to kill that priest.
Sugarhonyrose: Guys, I just got insider info that ChaosKnight is being sponsored by the Church to hunt Sir Broken!
Chriscole: I don’t know if I should call Broken Heaven stupid or brave for deciding to go against the Church.
...
At that moment, Logan froze. His arms trembled, and his pupils shook.
That confirmed it... Broken Heaven really did have history with the Holy Church. It now explained his actions earlier.
"It’s truly him!" he gasped, his chest rising and falling rapidly.
He couldn’t believe he had just casually met the number one NPC that everyone wanted to meet—on the very first day of all days!
And the most exciting part was that he would get to meet him again in the capital once he reached Level 10.
In his excitement, Logan logged back into the forum and began typing:
LL: Guys, guess what—I just met Sir Bro—
He suddenly paused mid-type.
’If he wore a mask, then that means he didn’t want anyone to know his location.’ Though not the brightest, he was smart enough to realize that. So, he wisely deleted everything.
Now that he knew who was behind the mask, he felt even more motivated. Staying in town was risky too, since he was now considered an enemy of the Church—they would hunt him on sight.
Without wasting a moment, he set out into the wilderness to start his hunt.
Meanwhile, after using Burrow Shift, Gabriel appeared not too far away in the midst of players and NPCs alike.
When he emerged from the smooth cobblestone ground—leaving no hole behind—most people flinched, even drawing their weapons, thinking he was an enemy.
However, Gabriel ignored them and calmly strode forward. When he arrived at a spot where several beggars sat, he emptied the Valerian dollars and treasures onto their plates.
Their eyes nearly popped out of their sockets at the sight.
It was better this way. Gabriel knew firsthand that if he had handed over the treasures and the bundle of rough-looking cash directly, it could have led the Church to Logan much faster.
After entering his truck, he left Whitebridge and began heading for the capital.
A few seconds after Gabriel’s departure, Logan arrived with a wooden sword in hand. After a few minutes of walking, he stumbled upon two monsters.
With the help of his visor, it was easy for him to detect their weak points and eliminate them.
The monsters didn’t drop any items, but the experience points were enough to push him up another level.
After a few more minutes of walking, he encountered two mutated boars wandering near a broken old truck.
They weren’t strong, but they looked aggressive.
"Alright... let’s test this thing," he muttered, adjusting his visor.
Instantly, faint glowing brackets locked onto the boars’ movement paths. Red dots highlighted their weak spots—the lower neck and the underside of the jaw.
Logan gripped his wooden sword tightly and lunged forward.
The first swing missed by an inch, but the second connected cleanly, guided by the visor’s correction system.
-38
[Critical Hit!]
-63!
[Boar defeated.]
The second one tried to charge, but he sidestepped and stabbed, his movements sharper than before.
[You gained experience points.]
[You leveled up!]
"Already?" Logan blinked, panting slightly. "This thing’s really helping..."
He wiped sweat from his forehead, glancing at the glowing horizon. The day was already turning into dusk.
He gathered some dropped meat and scrap parts from the ruins, pocketing them into his small bag.
And just like that, he continued hunting monsters until he reached Level 10—when he would meet Sir Broken once again!
Logan didn’t leave the southern plains much. He only went back occasionally to take quests and refill supplies so he wouldn’t go hungry. Food was as important here as in the real world.
Every day after classes, he logged into the game after taking a bath and eating lunch. He spawned directly in the wilderness and, without hesitation, went hunting.
He hunted... hunted... and hunted.
And of course, he spent time learning how to craft basic weapons he watched online.
By the third day, the wilderness south of Whitebridge had practically become his home.
The field mobs no longer posed a threat. He could handle two or three at once without breaking a sweat.
Players passing by sometimes stopped and stared at the strange figure wearing a glowing visor and fighting alone.
"Who’s that guy?"
"Looks like some hidden questline NPC."
"Nah, that’s a player. Check the tag—Legendary Logan."
"Wait... that name’s already trending on the forum!"
Indeed, his ID had started popping up in threads.
[Forum Post: Who TF is Legendary Logan?]
Readerinwind: Some guy soloing South Plains mobs way ahead of schedule.
Name_le55: I saw him craft a sword from junk!
Tenswoddking: Rumor says he’s connected to Sir Broken somehow!
OmegaYellow: Cap! Y’all just making up wild theories straight outta your asses!
...
Logan didn’t care about the attention. He was too focused on reaching the capital.
His inventory was stacked with food and metal shards Gabriel had asked him to carry for some odd reason.
Naturally, he didn’t realize all this would influence his final class.
Each night, his crude tools improved—sharper edges, sturdier joints, more precision.
Even the wooden sword he once used had been replaced by a rough iron blade he crafted himself.
[Iron Edge (Iron Rank)]
[Durability: 50/50]
[Description: A piece of junk crafted by a wannabe crafter. Dark edges. Grants zero stats.]
Although the description seemed harsh, he was proud of it—it was his first successful weapon.
By the fifth day, Logan had reached Level 8.
The enemies got tougher, and the experience required to level up increased exponentially, but he kept adapting—fighting goblin scavengers, mutated wolves, and bandits near the cliffs.
The visor highlighted attack arcs, and his body learned to react instinctively.
He grew faster, and because of his relentless grinding, he left behind most players who had started around the same time.
[Level Up!]
[LV.9 Reached.]
’One more. Just one more,’ he thought one evening, panting amidst a pile of corpses.
He camped near the forest edge that night, his clothes dusty and his eyes half-open from fatigue.
The next morning, after a tough battle against a wolf pack that left him with only 10 HP, Legendary Logan finally saw the long-awaited system prompt.
[Ding! Congratulations! You leveled up!]
[LV.10 Reached.]
Logan froze, staring at the glowing message.
He had actually done it.
"Level ten..." he whispered, his voice trembling with disbelief and excitement.
He fell back onto the ground, laughing breathlessly. "I actually did it!"
A faint smile formed as he stared at the fading blue system prompt.
It was time to head to the capital to meet Sir Broken once again... and finally awaken his class!
