God-Tier Extraction Talent: Reincarnated in a Game-like World!
Chapter 245: Assembling the Rare-Grade Hellfire Turret
CHAPTER 245: ASSEMBLING THE RARE-GRADE HELLFIRE TURRET
Legendary Logan was slightly curious about their next location, but he didn’t comment and decided to trust Sir Broken’s lead.
Some time later, they arrived at the reception of a towering building. After a brief exchange of words with the receptionist, they were taken upstairs.
"Long time no see, Gabriel." Edgar displayed a warm smile the moment Gabriel walked through the door, accompanied by the otherworlder.
A small gasp escaped Logan’s lips when he noticed Edgar’s sharply pointed ears.
’An elf.’ he cried inwardly, his mouth hanging open — it was the first time he was seeing one.
According to what was on the forum, elves were very rare on this continent, and they were usually in influential positions. Hence the reason for his reaction.
First, it was the Association Vice President acting like an errand boy; now, an elf.
Could it be Sir Broken was a hidden big shot in this world?!
’It has to be! How would one person know such powerful people!’
"I have been well," Gabriel replied with a faint smile.
"I’m certain you didn’t come here just to check on me, so what brought you here?" Edgar asked moments later.
Gabriel appreciated this; he liked people who went straight to the matter at hand without beating around the bush.
"I need four mechanical training dummies," he said in a serious tone.
"Mechanical dummies?" Edgar raised a brow, resting one arm on the table. "You sure you don’t want combat models? These things barely swing back."
Then he blinked, his expression softening as realization dawned. "Ah... for the otherworlder, huh? Fine. I’ll humor you. Wait here."
They walked through the corridor, and after a few minutes, reached a large door labeled [Training Chamber B]. Edgar tapped the rune lock, and it hissed open. Inside, the floor was wooden like a dojo.
He walked to the side and wheeled in four humanoid dummies made of dull steel.
Logan’s eyes brightened. "Whoa... these things look like mini-bosses."
"They’re just low-level dummies," Edgar corrected in a flat tone. "Mostly used by newbies to test their weapon swing timings. You can beat them up without legal trouble."
Logan cracked his knuckles and asked in a low voice, "Can I beat them?"
"Go ahead," Gabriel said, folding his arms.
Edgar pressed a button on a panel. The bots powered up with a dull hum. Four metallic figures rose, their red eyes flickering to life as they locked onto Logan.
"Try not to break the floor," Edgar muttered as he left the room to attend to eleven children who were under his care.
Logan’s eyes flashed with determination. "Understood."
The moment the first dummy stepped forward, he activated his visor and moved. He ducked under its slow punch, swung his wrench, and smashed its knee joint. Metal cracked. He pivoted, planted a boot on its chest, and kicked it over.
Quickly, he proceeded to summon the blunt iron sword he had crafted himself.
The second dummy charged with a clumsy swing. Logan sidestepped, blocked, and struck its torso. The metal dented slightly but didn’t collapse. He had to hack at it multiple times before finally bringing it down.
The last two dummies came together, arms raised. Logan spun, used his shoulder to block one, and kicked the other’s leg joint. It fell with a clang. He brought his sword down on its core, splitting it open.
Within minutes, the four training robots lay in pieces.
He fell on his back, panting heavily, his chest rising and falling. Wiping the sweat from his forehead, he slowly got up. "How did I do?"
"Efficient enough," Gabriel replied. "Now, grab a box of bolts and a drink from the supply room downstairs."
"Yes, sir." Logan jogged off without much thought.
As soon as the door closed, Gabriel approached the broken bits and extended his hand. His electric-blue eyes shimmered faintly.
"Extract!"
Yes — this was the reason he had come to Edgar. The last time Gabriel had used Extraction on the bots, hoping to get the Mechanic class, they had instead produced items and skills related to the mechanical field.
That was what gave him the idea. Since the bots were made by a Mechanic, they had the highest possibility of yielding skills or treasures closely related to that class.
[Please choose what to extract]
[Auto-Target Calibration (Common)]
[Robot Core (Uncommon)]
[Gear Repair Efficiency (Rare)]
Gabriel scanned through the options. Since he wasn’t a Mechanic, it was difficult to tell which would be useful and which would be useless.
"Let’s go with Gear Repair Efficiency," he muttered. Following a burst of purple light, a skill scroll appeared before him.
[Gear Repair Efficiency LV.1]
Rarity: Rare
Description: Increases the repair speed and success rate of damaged mechanical parts by 15%. Reduces material loss during maintenance and lowers the risk of malfunction during field repairs.
After extracting the first bot, Gabriel proceeded to do the same with the remaining three. Out of the four extractions, he obtained one skill scroll, one blueprint, a treasure, and three Perception points — which he immediately consumed.
Moments later, Logan returned carrying a small crate. "Here, sir."
Gabriel turned and gestured for him to drop the items to the side.
In truth, he wasn’t really thirsty or hungry — he had only sent Logan away so that he could use his talent undisturbed.
"Right, before I forget." Logan suddenly retrieved a sack of metal scraps he had collected back in Whitebridge.
[Ding! You have completed the quest: Craftsman Seed.]
[Your rewards are being calculated...]
Naturally, Gabriel received the notification asking him to reward Logan as promised. A small smirk crept onto his face.
Perfect timing! Now he had an even better reason to reward him.
From his inventory, Gabriel retrieved all four items he had extracted and handed them over.

"A-all this?" Logan was speechless at the flood of green text flashing before his eyes.
Wasn’t such a reward too much for a simple metal scavenging quest?
He was truly shocked by the treasure. Maybe this was why some players complained that Sir Broken made the game too easy by casually handing out powerful rewards.
But those complaints usually came from people who hadn’t received any treasures from him — or supporters of ChaosKnight and the Holy Church.
Still, who was he to complain?
Logan snapped out of his shock and bowed deeply. "Thank you, Sir Broken! I swear I’ll make full use of them!"
"You better," Gabriel replied calmly. "That turret blueprint isn’t for decoration. You’ll build one before the day ends."
"Yes, sir!" Logan saluted like a soldier, excitement bubbling all over his face.
"But first, learn the skill," Gabriel added.
Logan pressed the scroll against his chest, and it dissolved into data fragments that rushed into his body.
[Ding! You have learned Gear Repair Efficiency LV.1.]
After learning the skill — and with his Basic Engineering Knowledge skill giving him instinctive crafting insight — Logan and Gabriel went to the black market to get the necessary materials.
It was quite difficult, but the capital’s black market sold almost everything, so in the end, they found what they needed and returned to Edgar’s place.
A makeshift workbench was made, and Logan immediately went to work. The metal scraps clattered as he began assembling parts. Sparks flew. The hammer struck rhythmically.
As minutes passed, his movements became faster, his hands blurring between tightening bolts and aligning cores. It was as if something instinctive guided him. Even Gabriel raised a brow — the boy’s precision was abnormal for someone without formal training.
’The Basic Engineering Knowledge skill is more powerful than its name suggests,’ Gabriel frowned. ’To think a skill could grant years of experience.’
The more he watched, the more amazed he became.
Logan kept working, occasionally muttering numbers under his breath. "Pressure ratio three to one... screw alignment steady... done!"
[Ding! Construction Progress: 50%]
[Construction Progress: 70%]
[Construction Progress: 100%]
When he finally attached the ignition-grade core, the device released a faint hum.
[Ding! You have crafted: Hellfire Turret (Rare)]
[Name: Hellfire Turret (Rare)]
[Description: A small automated turret that locks onto hostile targets within a 20-meter radius. Requires 20 MP to activate and fires burst rounds imbued with minor flame energy. Highly effective against beasts and low-tier enemies.]
The turret glowed faintly red before powering down.
The notification made Logan’s heart skip a beat. He looked up, eyes wide with disbelief. "It... it worked."
At the same time, a wide smile slowly spread across Gabriel’s face.
With the help of the legendary Logan, the future was looking extremely bright...
