God-Tier Extraction Talent: Reincarnated in a Game-like World!
Chapter 297: Sir Broken’s Monstrous Stamina
CHAPTER 297: SIR BROKEN’S MONSTROUS STAMINA
The Broken Dawn guild had just finished clearing Floor 19, or rather Gabriel had just finished clearing Floor 19. The others were still exhausted from clearing Floor 18.
Immediately after they were done with the 10th floor, Gabriel had led them toward the next floor without giving them any room to rest. This was what he had been doing since the 100th floor.
It reached a point where they couldn’t keep up with him, and this far he had been speedrunning everything.
Light streamed through a crack in the wall, bathing Gabriel, who stood amidst twitching corpses of vampires. His expression looked serene, and his clothing — a simple button-up black shirt and black pants — was free of any dirt or bloodstain.
A strand of red hair fell lazily across his temple, slightly shielding his electric blue eyes.
If not for the corpses surrounding him, one would easily think Gabriel was an office worker on his way to work.
"Such monstrous stamina," Ragnarok99 said, breathing heavily and sweating like someone who had just stepped out of the shower.
"Would he even get tired at this pace?" Bunny’s expression was filled with quiet admiration and fear.
As for Sophie, the veiled beauty’s eyebrows were furrowed together, concern etched clearly on her face.
She felt as if Gabriel was overworking himself and might shut down due to exhaustion.
Calmly, she approached him, her feet thudding against the floor, the sound echoing along the walls.
"Gabriel..." she called out softly.
"Hmm?"
Gabriel had already caught that familiar jasmine scent, but he was still engrossed in watching his status.
There was a pondering expression on his face, which made him even more striking in that moment.
Sophie swallowed a mouthful of saliva, the sound louder than necessary, and her face flushed red in embarrassment.
A quick glance around told her no one had seen what just happened. With a silent sigh of relief, she spoke.
"You’re overworking yourself..." Sophie said in a concerned tone. "You need to rest too."
"I’m perfectly fine," Gabriel replied calmly, finally turning around. He cracked his neck; a sharp sound echoed.
Then he displayed a reassuring smile that didn’t really reach his eyes. "You see?"
Sophie stared at him for a while. Indeed, his appearance wasn’t pale like most of the guild members. If anything, it was vibrant.
He was clearly filled with vitality.
’I didn’t even see him take any potions, that means it’s all natural,’ Sophie thought, amazed.
Being someone quite high-profile, she knew a few Hero Ranks, and most of them — whether it was conserving their energy or something else — heavily depended on potions. So it came as quite the shock that Gabriel could go this long without using a single one.
Then she suddenly thought of something, and before she could even speak, it seemed as if Gabriel had already read her. He beat her to it.
"I’m not even using a fraction of my power yet," he said. "I don’t know when we might run into a powerful enemy. So you don’t have to think I’m being reckless."
Sophie thought for a moment and sighed, clearly giving up on persuading him to rest.
She walked back slowly, shattering the hope of the guild members who had been wishing for a short break.
"Leader," Bunny called out. With a slight grin she added, "We’re currently behind only Olympus."
There wasn’t much reaction on Gabriel’s face, not only because he had already seen it earlier on the forum, but because he knew it was only a matter of time before they overtook their competitors.
"That’s good..." he said for formality’s sake. "Let’s proceed to the next floor."
When he said this, a ripple of groans and curses spread among the guildmates, especially the players.
Gabriel led the front as they climbed the stairs to Floor Twenty. His heart was beating faster than usual, and even those walking closest to him — like Anna — noticed.
"Master," she called out worriedly.
"I’m fine," Gabriel dismissed quickly, quickening his steps.
Was he truly fine? That question was difficult even for him to answer. The next floor was the same place where he had stopped in his last life because he couldn’t proceed no matter how hard he tried.
It was quite hard not to feel anything when revisiting this floor again.
Dismissing his thoughts, he strode faster, arrived at the door, and without hesitation pushed it open.
As soon as he did, a whistling sound cut through the air.
Their eyebrows widened as they recognized the sound.
However, they couldn’t see anything or tell which direction it was coming from, making it impossible to react.
"Guard Robe!"
At that moment, when panic was about to erupt, Gabriel’s firm, calm voice echoed.
Swoosh! Bang!
Moments later, a resounding bang was heard. When everyone looked, they found a slim red spear made of blood piercing halfway through Gabriel’s barrier — stopping just inches away from his face.
"The durability of Guard Robe has reduced a lot," he murmured, staring at the blood spear.
"Sir Broken..." a small voice came from his side.
"Look." Bunny pointed ahead into the large room, directing everyone’s attention.
Gabriel looked ahead and saw a large, muscular vampire seated on a throne. He wore a helmet made of skulls, and the piercing red eyes beneath it were unmistakable.
His bone armor was similar, covered in sharp protrusions jutting from his elbows and joints. Some of the players gulped, imagining one of those spikes stabbing through their chests.
"That thing... it’s larger than all the ones we’ve faced so far."
"Even its aura feels different."
"It feels different."
"Yes... it feels different." Gabriel spoke calmly as he walked forward. "But that’s because it is different. This vampire is unlike all the others we’ve faced so far... that’s because this is the unkillable Vampire Mutant."
...
Thanks to everyone who supports God-Tier Extraction Talent with their valuable Golden Tickets and power stones. I really appreciate it.
I also apologize for the lack of updates in recent days. I was seriously ill while moving out of my current place.
