Some time later, Ragnarok99 logged back into the game, a wide grin still plastered across his face.

Knowing his personality, Gabriel wasn’t surprised he would try to fight him again.

"I see you still haven’t learned your lesson?" he remarked calmly.

"Ragnarok99, I think it’s best you stop now," Sniperbowlegend cautioned. "If you continue to fight him, you will lose more levels."

After his death, Ragnarok99’s level had dropped to Level 1. It was the penalty for dying.

Bunny crossed her arms with a frown. "If you’ll keep antagonizing the NPC, I might as well break out from this party."

Her tone sounded pissed. She just wanted to explore, enjoy the game, and give a detailed review to her streamer.

’Besides, the beta testing is only for five days,’ she thought inwardly. ’If he keeps dying, he’s only going to hold us back... makes you wonder how he became a top player with such a personality.’

Sniperbowlegend nodded in agreement. "Bunny is right."

Gabriel quietly observed the interaction, not bothering to intervene.

There was a subtle frown on Anna’s face. She stared at the group of three who clearly didn’t seem to belong to this world, and several thoughts flashed through her mind.

But as if someone had cast a magical spell, she mysteriously stopped questioning them, simply believing they were otherworlders sent to get rid of the monsters that roamed the world.

However, the strange spell was ineffective against Gabriel.

"Tsk, y’all not fun!" Ragnarok99 eventually relented with a click of his tongue.

’Phew.’ A visible sigh of relief appeared on both Sniperbowlegend and Bunny’s faces.

"Good sir, you mentioned you have something for us to do. What is it, if I may ask?" Bunny inquired politely.

At that moment, Gabriel navigated to his quest tab, and a series of screens popped out.

A thoughtful expression crossed his face as he considered something before mentally inputting what he wanted.

"I need your help finding blueleaf," Gabriel said. "It can be found behind the town, close to the walls. It has a soft blue glow. Pick the ones with the brightest veins."

As soon as he said this, a system screen appeared simultaneously before the players.

"Thank you, good sir. We’ll be back with the herbs." Bunny nodded respectfully, and soon they disappeared into the wilderness.

Gabriel watched their backs fade into the distance, then suddenly called out.

"Anna."

"Yes, Master," she replied.

"You seemed fine with the group of adventurers despite seeing that they’re not from this world," he asked—the question that had been on his mind all this while.

"Well, that’s simple," Anna explained. "These people are known as otherworlders. They come into our world from time to time, they help us with tasks and get rewarded. For some reason, they’re unkillable, always popping up from time to time, which makes them pretty useful during times of war."

Gabriel remained silent for a few seconds, processing what he had just heard. His eyes narrowed.

’What the hell, isn’t this like the first time the players are appearing in this world? Could it be there had been others before?’

He shook his head. There was something about Anna’s answer that felt as if it was programmed.

’After the countdown ended, I noticed that the world had abruptly come to a stop as if everything was frozen.’

It was a wild thought, but Gabriel believed there could be some supreme being—someone messing with the minds of the residents of this world.

’Right, now that I remember, I never found out how the developers discovered this world in the first place or what kind of alien technology they used to make it feel like a game world from the players’ perspective.’

There were lots of mysteries to unravel.

Gabriel decided not to think too deeply about it yet.

He returned his focus back to Anna. "What class are you?"

This was something he had overlooked last time.

"I’m a hunter. If you want, I can share my stats with you."

’Does the collar also make her become submissive?’ He was slightly taken aback by her submissive attitude, which vastly contrasted her usual self.

In Realm of Ascendancy, when others shared their status screens, both parties needed to make contact and give their consent.

When Gabriel did, Anna’s system status cascaded down before him.

"Yeah, you can have this. It’ll complement your build."

Her eyes widened in disbelief as she stuttered, "This... this is for me?"

"Yes, it suits you better."

"T-thank you." She accepted the boots with unsteady hands, clearly not used to this act of kindness.

She had joined the Chain of Veylor organization at an extremely young age and had never seen the masters treat their slaves like this.

"It’s nothing." Gabriel casually waved it off. "As long as you’re useful, there are more where that came from."

It was at that moment the three players returned, carrying the precious blueleaf herbs with them.

Gabriel’s eyebrow twitched slightly. He was pleasantly surprised that he could get experience points this way too—without doing anything.

"Good sir, here are the herbs you requested," Bunny said as she handed them over.

He nodded and accepted them, placing the herbs in his inventory.

Afterward, he handed the reward to them.

Bunny’s eyes lit up. If they could get more of such rewarding quests, they’d be able to purchase a good map with monster-indicated spots, hastening their level-up.

Sniperbowlegend asked, "Good sir, do you have something else you want us to do?"

"We are at your service," Ragnarok99 added unexpectedly.

A small, imperceptible smile appeared on Gabriel’s face as he turned to the city, his eyes focused on the towering church building rising above the walls of Red Fang City.

"I actually do," he said. "And this one won’t be easy."
