Some time later, Grizzlenaught returned with monster corpses, dropping them before Gabriel.

On his way back, Grizzlenaught had naturally drawn a lot of stares.

The people of Red Fang Town had been scared silly and jumped out of his path, wondering why such a unique monster was wandering their town while carrying the corpses of other monsters.

"Should we attack it?"

"You dimwit, can’t you see the level of that thing? Besides, it’s not attacking anyone. If my guess is right, that’s a summon of someone."

"I’ve been to a Tier 2 town before, but I’ve never seen a summon like this. Are you sure that thing is really a summon?"

Presently, Gabriel’s gaze swept past the monsters. Each one of them was relatively high-level, with the lowest being Level 10 and the highest, Level 15.

"Well done." He returned Grizzlenaught to his special space and focused his attention on the beast corpses.

It was time to get to work.

Gabriel smiled in satisfaction as he scanned the items, but what caught his attention the most was the Phantomshade Longbow.

’Giving him this right now would be pure waste,’ he frowned, recalling that this was only the beta and all their progress would be wiped out.

It was better to give Sniperbowlegend this after the game officially launched.

While he was thinking about this, Gabriel heard the sounds of city soldiers rushing toward the church.

He narrowed his eyes. ’It seems they alerted the city lord.’

Inside the church, the three professional players had slaughtered all the church members, and now, only the priest was left.

However, there was a problem.

The priest had erected a protective barrier around himself.

"Break already, dammit!" Ragnarok99 cursed as he violently smashed the barrier, but apart from a ripple, nothing else happened.

It was at that moment they heard footsteps rushing their way.

Bunny quickly rushed to check, and when she saw the small army of city guards approaching, her expression paled.

"Guys, we need to hurry!" she shouted in panic. "The city guard is heading this way!"

Sniperbowlegend frowned, seeing Ragnarok99 wasn’t making any progress.

Behind the protective barrier, the cocky smirk on the priest’s face was unmistakable.

"Fools. You lot should have left while you had the chance," the priest laughed.

As the footsteps drew closer, Sniperbowlegend’s frown deepened, and he warned in a serious voice, "We have to leave now!"

"What about the quest?!" Ragnarok99 complained, still smashing the barrier.

"We can always finish it later! Can you stop being thick-skulled for once?!" Bunny snapped.

Sniperbowlegend took a deep breath. "Listen, I have a plan. But we can’t do it now. We need to leave first."

Ragnarok99 hesitated.

Bunny’s voice cracked. "If you don’t move now, you’ll die and lose more levels!"

Finally, he clicked his tongue in frustration. "Tch, fine! Let’s go!"

Right then, the city guards burst through the door, but when they entered, the invaders were already long gone through a shattered glass window.

What was left were dead bodies scattered across the church with blood everywhere and broken furniture.

The priest quickly deactivated his barrier and pointed at the window.

"Quickly! They went that way! Move! Chase them!"

The head of the city guard nodded at some of his men, and they quickly jumped through the windows while he stayed behind to speak with the priest.

"What happened here?"

The priest’s hands trembled as he spat out, "It was the otherworlders! They slaughtered everyone!"

"Otherworlders?" The captain’s expression turned grim. "They were probably sent by someone. Can you describe them?"

"I don’t know their names! But one of them wielded a staff and had bunny ears. Another used a greatsword, and the last was a ranged attacker." The priest’s face darkened. "One of them... he laughed while cutting them dow—"

FWOOOSH!

The priest’s words were abruptly cut short as two arrows pierced his skull seamlessly, and his body thudded to the ground, his eyes wide in shock.

The captain watched everything play out, eyes wide in disbelief.

Meanwhile, from the roof of a nearby building, Sniperbowlegend slowly lowered his bow.

He turned and grinned at his two teammates.

"Quest complete!"
