CHAPTER 100: REGROUP

Harry scanned the rest of his body, some of the poisoned blood had already spread.

So, he patiently guided the blood to flow out of his body. It was a delicate and tedious process.

He had to give his body enough time to generate new blood, ensuring he didn’t die from blood loss.

It strained his mind, constantly scanning his body and extracting blood even from hard-to-reach places.

Harry held his breath during the process—not literally, but his focus was absolute.

"Ufff," Harry sighed, wiping the sweat from his forehead—though none was there.

A puddle of blood lay before him. He collected it in a container and stored it in his space ring.

He could already hear students walking and chatting outside. He wasn’t sure how much time had passed during the process.

He refilled the barrier with his soul energy. The dreamthorn was still persistent in misguiding, though there was fear in its eyes after sitting next to a wolf who could chew it in seconds—but Harry had forbidden Wolfie to do that.

He came out, stretching his body lazily. He could feel the lingering fatigue in his head.

Surprisingly, the settlement was bustling with people. Many rooms were demolished, and newer ones were being constructed with better planning.

The sun fell on his skin, giving warmth—something he hadn’t felt in several days.

The tree had blocked the sunlight throughout the settlement, but now there was no trace of the gigantic tree.

As Harry adjusted his clothes, which had gotten dirty—

"Ohh hello, thank god you survived."

Harry tilted his head, and as his eyes fell on a girl with a beautiful figure—Instead of admiring, his legs hastened, rushing back to his room. He didn’t even look back.

’Why?... Why the hell did I sell the ring to this girl?’ Harry cursed inwardly.

"Hi, you remember me?" The girl pointed at her own face.

"No, I don’t. And I don’t talk to strangers," Harry tried to go around her.

But Olivia blocked his path.

"Did you also lose some of your memories because of side effects?" she asked curiously.

Harry looked at her in confusion.

Also? Does that mean some people have lost memories? I remember entering, then eating fruits, then fighting.

I guess I didn’t lose any. He sighed in relief when all his memories connected without any loopholes.

"Come with me," Olivia grabbed him and brought him out of the room.

Harry tried to resist, but she almost carried him with her sheer strength. He couldn’t win against her brute force.

"Where?" Harry growled in dissatisfaction.

"Someone wants to buy your space rings."

"But I don’t want to sell."

"You don’t have a choice in that." She dragged him toward one of the newest houses, which looked like a real home instead of some bunker or matchbox.

Harry could have tried to run, using his shadows.

He had already simulated it multiple times till now.

He would first use his blood to make his skin slippery so he could slip out of her grip. Then he would use shadow to escape.

But before that, he wanted to know who wanted to buy the space rings. He had something in mind that he could exchange.

Since Wolfie was about to break through, he would need three level nine crystals. If someone could provide those, then he was more than eager to sell.

Level 9 beasts were rare. He didn’t think anyone had procured three yet.

Did the tree had a crystal?

Most likely not, since it was just a medium for Dreamthorn to use its influence. If he killed Dreamthorn, he might get one.

Harry pondered more and realized—maybe he wouldn’t get any crystal from Dreamthorn since it wasn’t alive, at least according to his beast space theory.

He couldn’t put any living beast into the space, but there was no resistance when he put Dreamthorn in.

I’ll see when I kill it. But for now, I have no plans of doing that.

Olivia walked enthusiastically, Harry being pulled by her.

As they approached the house, several students stood around it, as if securing whoever was inside.

It reminded Harry of the castle in Ray’s shelter.

None stopped them, seeing Olivia bringing him in.

Harry was curious—who could it be that was being protected by so many students?

As the door opened, they entered the main hall where five people were sitting in wooden chairs.

A smile bloomed on Harry’s face as he saw two familiar faces.

"You’re back! How’s the progress, Olivia?" Gracie asked casually.

"Everything is fine. See, I got the guy. He has some space rings." Olivia tried to pat Harry on the shoulder—but the person who stood beside her had vanished.

She looked with wide eyes as Harry walked toward the guy who always stood in the corner, silent, his identity always shrouded in ambiguity.

She had recently joined Gracie after the battle. Gracie had taken her into their inner circle, giving her the responsibility to manage students who were already living there.

Since she knew most of them from the past month, she was best suited to explain how things were now and act as a bridge between Gracie and them.

Her level was also high, which could help them in crucial moments.

All this time, she was aware of every person in the group—Gracie, Gareth, Theron, Sylas.

But this last guy had never introduced himself and barely spoke in any meetings.

Harry gave a tight hug to Tyler. Tyler did try to evade it, but Harry had captured him in his arms.

Tyler’s eyes widened.

’No way. Did this guy catch me?’ Tyler was in disbelief. With his lightning element, his speed and reflexes had improved tenfold. He didn’t expect a random guy to render that useless.

Though he didn’t give it his all to evade, but what were the chances the guy had gone all out just to hug him?

As Harry backed off, releasing Tyler from his hug, Olivia’s voice fell into his ears—and he realized: I fucked up.

He had forgotten he was wearing a mask, and Tyler didn’t recognize him.

As Harry stepped back, Tyler zapped instantly, now stood in another corner.

Author thought- it was hundredth Chapter which looks first major goal that I have achieved.

But it’s not the last goal, the story has barely started. We are nearing close to the end of second major arc. 20-30 more Chapters. I guess.

And it will be the arc where Harry and his freinds will realise the cruelty of the world and leave the lens of goodness aside.

The update frequency will go down since i ain’t getting any features and that means no money. So i am trying to write another book on side.

I know there are 4-5 readers following the story. So for you guys, i will write the story till end.

Update frequency may get lowered so I am sorry for that.
