God-Tier System: Kill Beasts, Cultivate Forever
Chapter 58: Cannibalism
CHAPTER 58: CANNIBALISM
Without another word, the group prepared for battle.
Harry activated his Inspect skill and sighed in relief. Not all of them were Elemental Masters. Still, some were.
He drew his sword, ready to strike.
A moment later, the two groups clashed.
Harry’s strategy was simple: eliminate the weaker beasts first so they couldn’t cause trouble later.
In front of him stood two beasts—one was an Elemental Master Level 2, while the other was only Level 9.
He lunged at the weaker one.
But the stronger beast immediately intercepted, its long silver back glowing faintly in the dark.
As Harry engaged the stronger beast, the weaker one attempted to attack from behind.
Yet Harry saw through their plan.
"You dumb beasts don’t even know how to make a proper strategy," he scoffed, throwing the wolf backward and forming a space barrier behind him in an instant.
His two skills—Phantom Stride and Serpent’s Coil—combined into what the system called Serpent Stride. Its purpose? To hide and deceive opponents until the perfect moment for a fatal strike.
Harry maneuvered across the battlefield, jumping and dodging every attack. Between his movements, he found small openings and struck the beast, but its healing ability was fast and troublesome.
Still, each of his attacks had a purpose. Even if the wounds healed, the blood remained on its fur—some of it soaking into the dirt.
That was his limit. He couldn’t use the blood once it mixed with other elements.
While fighting, he was also slowly trapping the weaker beast inside his barrier. The walls closed in, growing smaller and smaller.
But crushing such thick bones would require immense force, which would exhaust him. He couldn’t afford that right now.
So, instead, he waited for the right moment.
When the stronger beast staggered from an attack, Harry jumped over the barrier—landing inside with the trapped beast.
Harry’s movement were restricted in small area but the beast was already pinned by all four sides. It was draining essence from his body at abdominal speed.
Harry didn’t waste any time and With a swift strike, He severed beasts neck.
it was plain notification of kill, there was no Exp. The Level 9 beast was too weak to grant him any experience.
He dismissed the barrier, exhaling sharply. It was hard to gauge just how much energy these barriers drained, but one thing was certain—this trick couldn’t be used too many times.
Creating four barriers strong enough to hold a beast was no easy feat.
Now, only one opponent remained.
And with continuous attacks and injuries it’s healing skill also plummeted and the fat on its body has reduced.
Harry had already figured it out; Their regeneration had something to do with their fat.
Harry attacked one after another...injuries were caused and healed but the rate at which they were healing was going down with every second.
Harry sent soul pulse to distract it and use serpent stride to deal damage.
His Qi was also plummeting so to counter that thing harry used soul drain in small bursts to refill his reserves.
The constant barrage of attacks made the beast drained of power...it was about to fall under continuous struggle of survival but before Harry could finish his job a new wave of ten wolves emerged.
His heart pounded.
He checked sideways, four beasts were still remaining on the field while six has deceased during battle. His freinds were also started feeling tired but it wasn’t much of a problem.
They had pills to plant their energy back and till now these beasts didn’t put much pressure.
The remaining four wolves from before flanked toward the back.
Harry glanced at his teammates and smirked.
"Wanna bet who kills the mos—"
He stopped mid-sentence, his eyes widened seeing the scene before him.
Two wolves lay dead near Tyler.
He checked others and Tyler was the only one who had managed to finish his opponents on time.
Harry’s face turned red. Embarrassed, he didn’t complete his sentence. He wanted to challenge his friends but seeing Tyler who was the weakest of them performing the best, he didn’t possess the shamelessness to continue his Sentence.
Despite the overwhelming situation, he couldn’t deny it—this feeling was exhilarating. Not only exhilarating it was addicting; To the extent that his priorities were changing mid fight. He may have liked to playing video games or watching movies most but this feeling, it was the best.
He didn’t realise when a smile casted on his face.
Now, he had to fight three beasts while the older opponent was still there drained of energy and weak, waiting for an opening.
But then, something disgusting caught his attention.
The wolves from the first batch had flanked and while Harry and his freinds were preparing for the attacks from new batch of wolves they took corpses that had been killed in previous fight.
Somewhere far three to four hundred metres all four beasts from previous fights have at least one corpse with them.
As Harry noticed the wolf that he was fighting, Harry’s face fell contorted by the scene.
Before his eyes it chomped down on the corpse.
Harry watched in horror as it tore off a chunk of meat and swallowed.
Harry couldn’t understand their facial features but Harry felt as if it was grining.
Harry unable to keep calm shouted.
"Cannibalism"
"They’re eating meat and gaining their fat back."
"Freinds we have to finish this batch as fast as we can, before they could join the party," Harry said, averting his gaze from the beast.
Two new wolves were already upon him; to tear him apart.
Harry laughed seeing their level, one of them was still foundation building level 9 while second was at Elemental master level 1.
It was Even weaker then previous beast.
This time, Harry wasn’t in the mood to let them play around, he didn’t gave enough time for them to flank around.
Using Phantom Stride, he reached them in an instant, throwing them off guard with his sudden charge.
His sword met with their sharp claws...
