God-Tier System: Kill Beasts, Cultivate Forever
Chapter 62: Healing Element
CHAPTER 62: HEALING ELEMENT
Harry summoned as much soul energy as he could, the amount was so high that anyone could see black swirling mist manifesting to life, the mist continued to accumulate when—
"Soul Barrier."
This technique was something Harry had practiced alog with Gracie. His mastery over it was Quite high.
It was one of the basic yet important techniques that every soul cultivator needed to know.
Soul Barrier not only defended against soul or physical attacks but also countered with a passive soul attack.
Wolf was already committed to finish Harry, unable to control, the beast collided with the barrier, it shattered, soul energy bursting into the air. But it took the beast’s momentum with it.
The leftover soul energy seeped into the beast, making it insane and unable to think.
However, Harry’s soul cultivation was no match for the beast. His soul cultivation was still on foundation building while the beast was an elemental master. Yet, the sheer amount Harry invested in the barrier earned him a fair amount of time.
About time, Wolf regained its intelligence—but with that came a chilling pain. Because Harry had already thrust his sword back into its butt.
The beast was dying of hunger. Fat worked as an energy source, but there was nothing left. Now, its skin was getting consumed.
This time, the beast didn’t make any more attacking moves. It looked at Harry with cute eyes. But it was nowhere near cute, with its skin tightly stuck to its bones.
"You have one last chance," Harry said and started a forced soul contract.
Harry clasped his hands in frustration.
"Damn it, it’s still not working." But the beast wasn’t rejecting anything.
’Should I kill him? He will definitely help me break through in soul cultivation,’ he thought but rejected the idea.
There must be special rewards for establishing a soul contract.
He set the same conditions he had with John, with some tweaks.
[I will follow all orders from Master Harry. I won’t hurt him or his friends. In exchange, the master will help me remove the sword.]
Harry didn’t know if the beast would understand any conditions But the beast looked at him with sparkling eyes.
It tried to make a cute woof sound. But it wasn’t cute at all.
[The contract has been established. Any breach of the contract will come with its consequences.]
Harry and the beast both heard the same thing at the same time.
With that, his Qi energy started increasing, and he reached Qi Cultivation Level 3.
"So one reward was an instant level-up." He dismissed the screen; he didn’t have much time to see what other rewards were.
Harry remembered what the consequence would be if he didn’t fulfill his side of the contract—he would lose control of his soul.
He removed the sword and put it back into his system space.
"We’ll leave the bodies for you to eat. Go hide somewhere. I’ll come back and take you with me."
The beast woofed again.
"Stop acting. I know how shrewd you are," Harry said and rushed to his friends.
He knew a beast that ate its own family couldn’t be cute.
Harry took a Qi Replenishment Pill while running, His Qi was almost depleted. With a burst of energy, the pill dissolved, giving a soothing sensation.
As Harry left the area, a proud and dangerous aura erupted from the wolf.
"You fool, I will definitely kill you one day with these claws of a royal alpha wolf." But then a mind-boggling pain overtook him—both physical and soul-tearing.
His soul was wounded as well. He waited for some time before drifting into darkness to find smaller prey to eat and regain his healing skill.
---
Harry reached his friends and saw Tyler, with a lost limb, still fighting the last pair of beasts.
He was gliding through them with Eldrich’s sword in his hands, making shallow cuts and dealing damage bit by bit.
Eldrich and Nephis were already lying on the ground, drenched in blood. He wasn’t sure whose blood it was.
Gracie was in somewhat better condition, but she too had scars all over her torn clothes.
Harry rushed toward the last two beasts as Tyler killed the one in front of him, ignoring the other.
As the beast was about to land a hit, Harry blocked it with his sword.
"What are you doing? You wanna die?" Harry shouted, throwing the beast aside and slicing across its neck.
[Congratulations...]
[+1000 Exp]
Harry was stunned. This was an Elemental Master Level 2 beast, and the last time he had killed one, it had given him 20,000 Exp. But now, it had dwindled to just 1,000.
He sheathed his black longsword.
When he saw Tyler in trouble, he knew he couldn’t take chances, so he used the sword that could give him maximum power.
Well, who cares? He had already used it against the beast.
Harry backed away from the beast’s body and looked at Tyler. For some reason, he was grinning.
"What do you think I am? I’m no lesser than a cockroach," Tyler mocked.
Harry ignored his blabbering and checked his half-severed arm. It had been cut off from the biceps.
For some reason, the blood wasn’t flowing out.
Not only that, but skin had already formed to cover the injury.
"You got healing?" Harry blurted out.
Tyler nodded in response and winked. Then he went to Eldrich and Nephis, placing his hand over their worst injuries.
But nothing happened. He sighed and kept trying.
"Not this way."
"Neither this."
"It should be like that."
After several attempts, white flakes started emerging from his only hand, and the injuries began to heal.
After healing both of them, he collapsed onto the ground. "I’m out of energy. I can’t use healing anymore."
Harry still had some injuries. His healing was nowhere near Tyler’s level. He also couldn’t heal others like Tyler could.
But that was the difference—his healing was a roundabout skill, while Tyler’s element was purely based on healing.
Gracie also sat down.
"It was our lapse in judgment. If that person hadn’t come out of nowhere, we would’ve been as good as dead," Gracie said.
Hearing that, Harry remembered something.
’Oh shit, I used the Soul Judgment Sword in front of him. Was that the reason he abandoned him? No, Aiden said not many people remember it nowadays. But what if...?’
"Not another enemy."
He was already an enemy of the Edward family, and if the Soul Clan found out about sword, what were the chances he would survive against a powerhouse that was already against the whole world?
Well, that person had said something about recruiting him.
’Was he following me all along?’ A sense of fear settled in his heart.
"Did he also notice me using the Soul Eater skill?"
