CHAPTER 78: MYSTERIOUS CAVE

It was a group of five Titan Behemoths, none of them beyond level 6. The only potential problem was their element.

Harry never fought these beasts despite facing them multiple times, they always maneuvered around them and The Behemoths also never attacked his group out of the blue.

So he didn’t had potential information about them.

"Their affinity", one thing that Harry learned during academy lectures was that some beasts have affinity to specific elements while many don’t.

Harry didn’t know if these titan Behemoths had any affinity or not and Harry didn’t want to take any risks.

System sometimes pointed towards affinity’s with description but this time there was no clue.

He sat behind a large boulder, analyzing the Titans’ movements. They were like lazy turtles, barely making any movement.

At regular intervals, one of the Titans would stand, roam in circles, and then return to slumber.

The sun moved across the sky, but none of them showed any behavior that could give Harry an insight.

’How have they survived so long?’ Harry was confused. With their behavior, they were nothing more than livestock.

After a day of observation, he realized that other beasts never approached the group, as if the Behemoths had marked their territory.

That made his heart at ease, Harry brought his soul out of his body and started cultivating.

He wasn’t sure if he could use the Soul Eater skill anymore, so his only option was to cultivate on his own until he kills other soul cultivators.

There was no doubt he will be able to absorb soul energy from other soul Cultivators since it was the main focus of technique—the vagueness was about normal humans and beasts.

He had thought that the reason it was not mentioned was because the creator was a very high level cultivator—so for him the energy received from beast was negligible.

But now he was giving second thoughts about it.

Days passed. The sun rose and set multiple times, but still Harry failed to uncover anything important.

’I can’t keep waiting,’ he thought. He wanted to speed up his leveling, not slow it down. His patience was wearing thin.

He summoned the Soul Judgment Sword. Harry had made his decision—he was ready to take risks.

His confidence was backed by Wolfie.

Together, they could handle the group.

But just as he was about to attack, a Titan Behemoth stood on four limbs, its tough shell rubbing against stone boulders.

This time, instead of walking in circles, it started moving toward the right side of the volcano.

The volcano was still hundreds of kilometers away.

Cautiously, Harry ran from one boulder to another, avoiding detection from the remaining Behemoths.

The Behemoth continued walking without stopping. Its low center of mass and four balanced legs helped it maneuver through the mountains.

An hour later, they reached another group of Behemoths.

Harry’s heartbeat quickened—this group included level 8 Behemoths and was even larger than the previous one.

Strangely, none of them showed any hostility toward the outsider.

The Behemoth crossed the group and kept walking. After passing through tens of such groups, it finally halted in front of a cave.

When Harry’s eyes landed in the cave, he was mesmerized. Vines hung in intricate patterns, concealing the entrance.

It was the first time Harry had seen vegetation in the mountain region. The fruits on the vines emitted a faint glow.

Before his eyes, the Behemoth vanished into the cave siding intertangled wines.

Harry didn’t dare to follow—who knew how many more were inside?

After an hour, his eyes contorted in suspicioun.

’Strange,’ he muttered.

The Behemoth that emerged looked significantly smaller. Its tough stone shell appeared loose, and its body looked frail—almost as if it had aged.

Harry didn’t know why, but he didn’t care. This was the perfect time to attack.

He and Wolfie attacked at once. Harry unleashed multiple soul pulses toward the beast, while Wolfie flanked behind.

The Behemoth didn’t take long to take counter measures, it stomped its legs into the ground, shattering the stones beneath it. The ground trembled, and the once-flat terrain became a battlefield, launching large stones in all directions.

Harry struggled to keep his footing amidst the shaking ground. On top of that, so many boulders were flying at him—if he failed to dodge, a single one could take his head off.

Turning into shadows, he evaded all the rocks. Wolfie took some hits, but being on equal footing, its body had high defense. The minor injuries it sustained were already healing.

Undeterred, Wolfie lunged forward, its paws striking the Behemoth’s shell. Sparks flew as their attacks clashed, but the shell only dented.

The Behemoth’s jaws snapped with lightning speed, tearing one of Wolfie’s legs off.

Harry, already beneath the Behemoth, shuddered at the sight. He gathered all his soul energy into a punch and emerged from the shadows, striking the beast’s lower body with full force.

Then, he quickly retreated into the shadows.

Using teleportation, he put some distance between them.

The Behemoth let out a painful roar—its soul was affected—but it regained control almost immediately.

Meanwhile, Wolfie’s limb grew back, though its body mass had visibly reduced.

The Behemoth stomped its legs again, and thousands of spikes erupted from the ground in a 100-meter radius.

Harry swiftly leaped onto soul barriers, while Wolfie, undeterred, descended upon the Behemoth’s back.

It was almost amusing—amidst the field of spikes, the Behemoth was the only one standing.

Just as Harry prepared to strike with his sword, the Behemoth’s legs wobbled, and it collapsed.

Harry frowned—this was only the start of the battle, so why was it happening?

Then, he remembered how the beast had changed after emerging from the cave.

Wolfie tore into the Behemoth’s shell, clawing and striking multiple times before finally breaking through.

But there was no resistance.

The Behemoth had already died before the fight even ended.

Harry, watching everything unfold, realized something—the wolf hadn’t killed the Behemoth. It had already been dead when it stopped fighting.

Walking across space barriers, Harry approached the corpse. He stored it inside his ring—Wolfie would need food to recover.

He then sent Wolfie to the Beast Space to feed on the Raptors they had stored earlier.

Finally, Harry turned his gaze toward the cave. The entrance was concealed by moss-like green leaves, making it impossible to see inside.

His body trembled at the thought of what could be inside—something that had the power to make a level 6 Behemoth die.
