Golden Dragon: Six Thousand Years of Empire
Chapter 619 - 357: Divine Nemesis (Part 2)
CHAPTER 619: CHAPTER 357: DIVINE NEMESIS (PART 2)
Although he couldn’t give these dragon-men souls the deeply fallen pleasure they craved, he didn’t need these dragon-man followers to chant his name daily or show him devotion and loyalty.
However, this was unfeasible, and that was impossible. Helpless, Noah could only arrange for the dragon-man souls to do labor, making them create their residences within the Heroic Spirit Hall from nothing, so that the name of the Heroic Spirit Hall could be truly deserved.
However, this was just a temporary measure. Noah planned, after awakening, to research how to connect the Heroic Spirit Hall with the real world. Once feasible, Noah couldn’t even imagine the tremendous impact he would bring to his plane.
The deities residing outside the world, even if able to send Prayers Merged into the Material World, were limited in number. These spiritual bodies imbued with divine power would be greatly weakened during the entry process, and even if successful, they couldn’t operate for long.
Thus, the deities never dispatched a Prayer Merged corps into the Material Realm because it wasn’t worth the cost. With the divine power consumed, it would be better to strike directly from afar.
But Noah did not face such a problem; he was already within the Material Realm. Once he found a way to open the Heroic Spirit Hall in the Material Realm, it would mean the arrival of a true Undead Army in the world.
Noah truly couldn’t imagine which force in this world could resist such an army, which would surely be unstoppable and invincible.
Once this thought settled, Noah’s mind became more active, and his spirits lifted, especially as more dragon-man souls were gradually introduced.
Yet, even when these dragon-men entered the Heroic Spirit Hall, after receiving a generous baptism of Power of Faith and the reward of condensed bodies, their ultimate fate was no different from the first dragon-man, still laboring and doing menial work. No, before they even did menial work, they had to create a batch of bricks themselves.
"Good, they’re clever!"
Upon noticing that the first dragon-man to enter the Heroic Spirit Hall started actively teaching newcomers what to do, Noah was quite pleased.
This meant that the Heroic Spirit Hall was gradually on track, no longer needing him to spare his attention to arrange things, allowing the Heroic Spirit Hall to naturally emit an attractive force to guide the souls of dragon-men after death into it.
"Let me see, are there any more fruits left to eat!"
Noah’s slumber and transformation continued, while the impact he brought silently changed everything, with the scope of influence gradually expanding over time.
Not only was there the Dragonization Domain constructed from the life aura emanating from Noah, but there was also the impact caused by the opening of the Heroic Spirit Hall.
Even though only dragon-men whose life journeys were nearing their end and who held sincere devotion to Noah could perceive the existence of the Heroic Spirit Hall, during this time, they could tell those around them about what they saw and felt.
If only one or two did so, the contents they described at their dying moments would likely be considered by their families as nonsense, fantasies, and hallucinations seen before death.
But as more and more dragon-men depicted the same content before dying, even the most steadfast dragon-men would find their beliefs shaken.
After all, it’s the Holy Dragon! For such an existence, what could possibly be impossible in this world? Even if not divinely enthroned, couldn’t he protect his loyal subjects?
Thus, in the tenth year of Noah’s slumber, the legend of the Eternal Golden Land spread throughout the domains Noah ruled and expanded to more and more places.
In the depictions of many minstrels, the Eternal Golden Land was a place of peace Noah built for dragon-men whose souls had nowhere to go after death.
Legend has it that when a lost dragon-man soul sets foot there, it will find eternal peace; its soul will no longer worry about dissipating, nor will it suffer any disturbance, but be protected and embraced by the power of Holy Dragon Noah, to enjoy eternal time together.
Pa~
The exquisite porcelain was smashed against the corner wall, scalding tea water mixed with steeped green ink tea leaves splattered on the precious carpet. This was followed by a voice no longer able to suppress its anger,
"These ignorant fools, how could a flying serpent, still wandering in the Material Realm, possibly establish an immortal divine realm?"
Having put down the storybook filled with accolades for the wisdom and greatness of the Holy Dragon, Great Priest Rogerster, a devotee of the Sun God Helo, was furious,
"What do they take deities for, and what do they think that golden serpent is? This is blasphemy, a trampling of the dignity of the divine!"
"If it were other Dragon Clans, it would be one thing, but Holy Dragon Noah, perhaps he really can accomplish such things."
The Cardinal from the Radiant Church pondered for a moment, then slowly replied, devoid of any joking tone.
"Are you joking with me? Without becoming a deity, how does he open a divine realm?"
"Not opening a divine realm, just establishing a half-plane sufficient to house the souls of followers. For him, this shouldn’t be difficult, right?"
"It isn’t difficult, but wouldn’t that mean he’s already a pseudo-god?"
"Hasn’t he long been a pseudo-god? He can even steal the glory of my Lord, imitate my Lord’s descent, and bestow so-called miracles and divine gifts on those ignorant mixed-blood mongrels."
"We can’t continue to tolerate this any longer."
"Indeed, the Dragon Clans do not need a Sun Dragon God."
Within less than a quarter of an hour of contact, two high-ranking members from different True God Churches quickly reached a consensus, each representing a certain will of their respective church organizations.
"My suggestion is to notify that team and invite them to come clear out this dragon."
"I have no objection. In fact, I’ve long felt we should notify them. Now it’s already somewhat late; his wings are already spread. As soon as there’s some commotion, a bunch of Ancient Dragons will gather around his palace."
"It’s indeed a bit late, but not too late. Isn’t he currently asleep? That’s the most vulnerable time for the Dragon Clans. As long as an opportunity is found, one strike to kill, and after completion, a swift retreat will make those Ancient Dragons unable to react."
"But that is an Ancestral Dragon Species. If the assassination succeeds and he falls, those old dragons might become enraged."
"Even if they’re enraged, what can they do? That group makes a move, leaving no trace. Without evidence, how can the Dragon Clans accuse us of attacking them? Hah!"
"But it’s too obvious!"
"So what? Shouldn’t those old dragons rightly blame that dragon who dared to call himself ’Holy’ before reaching maturity? Furthermore, he dares to invade both the Solar and Light Divine Positions simultaneously."
"Talking about this is useless; you know the significance of an Ancestral Dragon to the Dragon Clans. If Holy Dragon Noah were to fall, I’m afraid it wouldn’t just be the Ancient Dragons who would go mad with rage; even the Dragon God might take notice."
"Therefore, the best response should be to injure without killing, to find a way to severely harm him and cause him to enter an extended slumber."
"Just severely injure?"
"If there’s a first time, there will be a second. Just let him keep sleeping."
The whispering between the two was not the only one; many churches, through the reactions of the dragon-men, indirectly inferred the existence of the Heroic Spirit Hall, and had various reactions to it.
The only commonality was that most churches’ reactions could not be called friendly, especially those who believed their deities’ Divine Position Domains were being invaded.
Invading a Divine Position Domain is an unending divine enemy to a deity.
With the current posture and form Noah presented, many churches speculated that this Ancestral Golden Dragon might be attempting to ascend to Dragon God and, unlike other Dragon Gods, to aim directly for those powerful and radiant Main Divine Positions.
[Sun][Light][Order][Justice] etc., all were possible. If this weren’t the case, why would this Ancestral Golden Dragon spend hundreds of years building an utterly irrational ideal place and hold such fondness for the title of Golden Sun?
