When the chainsaw was just half a meter away from Jiang Ran's abdomen, with all four people intently watching the scene, Jiang Ran suddenly moved on the bed.

His left foot kicked the side of the chainsaw with bizarre speed and strength, sending the tool flying to the ground despite being firmly gripped by the young white man's hands. In one fluid motion, Jiang Ran performed a rapid kip-up and smashed his right fist into the young white man's face. A single punch sent the attacker flying backward, leaving him writhing on the ground clutching his face in agony.

The entire sequence lasted barely three seconds. Everyone except Jiang Ran stood frozen until the dust settled. The young white man continued rolling on the floor in pain while Xiao Q and the other two could only exclaim "Holy shit!" repeatedly, their eyes locked onto Jiang Ran's retreating figure as he slowly walked out of the bedroom into the living room.

The Jiang Ran now standing in the living room wore a smile - but an unsettling one. His usual amiable expression had transformed into something sinister and unrestrained, his entire demeanor fundamentally altered. He strode to the balcony, leaning his hands on the railing as he surveyed the outside world, his lips parting to release a triumphant declaration:

"Hahaha! I'm finally out! It's finally my turn to take control of this body!!!"

He stared at his own palms, repeatedly clenching and unclenching his fists as he savored the vitality coursing through his body.

Back in the bedroom, Xiao Q picked up the now-still chainsaw and placed it on the bed. He and another male student tore Jiang Ran's bedsheet into makeshift ropes to restrain the injured white man. Though the attacker resisted fiercely despite his facial injuries, he was no match for the two young men working together. Even after being tightly bound, the white man continued hurling curses until several solid punches from Xiao Q and his companion silenced him.

"Thank you! We never knew you were this strong!!" The three approached Jiang Ran at the balcony to express their gratitude after securing their prisoner. Honestly, including Xiao Q, they'd all believed Jiang Ran was done for when the chainsaw came within inches of his stomach. None had expected him to be such a hidden martial arts expert.

Hearing their thanks, Jiang Ran slowly turned from the balcony view. Instead of acknowledging their appreciation, his face darkened as he suddenly snapped: "You three idiots dare thank me?!"

The abrupt hostility left the trio stunned. One male student retorted indignantly: "Hey, what's with the attitude?"

"My attitude?" Jiang Ran raised an eyebrow. "If you three morons hadn't broken into my home, would I have been involved in this mess?"

"Uh..." The protest died on the student's lips - Jiang Ran wasn't wrong. Their forced entry had indeed dragged him into danger. What Jiang Ran didn't say aloud was that he should actually thank them for giving him this opportunity to emerge.

Meanwhile, outside the apartment...

The young black man had chased Xiao Peng's group all the way outside Alice Apartment with his chainsaw. Fortunately, police arrived just as they reached the building's exit.

"Drop your weapon!" Five or six officers aimed their guns at the chainsaw-wielding attacker while Xiao Peng's group took shelter behind them.

The black man responded with bravado: "Go ahead and shoot! I dare you!" He charged forward, convinced the police wouldn't fire. To his shock, multiple gunshots rang out the moment he moved.

Five bullets tore through the black man's body. He looked down at the bleeding holes in disbelief. "You..." The chainsaw clattered to the ground as he collapsed, dead before he hit the pavement.

Only when their pursuer lay motionless did Xiao Peng and the other students finally exhale, grateful to have escaped death. Their relief was short-lived as they remembered their remaining companions inside. After hearing their report, several officers rushed into the apartment building.

The subsequent resolution unfolded methodically. Within half an hour, the situation was under control. The black man had been justifiably shot dead for attacking officers, while his white accomplice was captured alive. The introverted girl was rescued unharmed. Tragically, while she survived unscathed, several other students hadn't been so lucky during the manhunt.

Originally a group of ten - five male and five female students - they'd lost three members: one killed by the white man's chainsaw, two by the black man's. Initially, they believed these were their only casualties. Then they discovered another absence - Xiao Nuo had mysteriously vanished during the chaos.

No calls or messages reached her. With police already on scene, they checked surveillance footage, only to find Xiao Nuo had entered a camera blind spot during the escape and never reappeared. Searches of nearby apartments yielded nothing, forcing authorities to file a missing person report before removing the prisoners.

Inside a departing police car, the handcuffed white man sat sandwiched between two uniformed officers. Once Alice Apartment faded from view, he protested in broken Chinese: "Why did you kill my partner?! I know you're fake cops - you work for the organizers!"

The man in the passenger seat - presumably a game official - responded coldly: "Your black friend was stupid enough to attack us. He got what he deserved."

"You could've shot his leg or arm! You didn't have to kill him!" the white man argued.

"Shut up. Keep talking and I'll reunite you with your friend permanently." The icy threat in the organizer's voice made even this experienced killer hesitate.

"Where are you taking me now?"

"To another Alice Apartment overseas. You've been eliminated from the Chinese version."

"Which country?"

"Japan."
