Chapter 93: Give Me the Queen of the Underworld! Hades
CHAPTER 93: CHAPTER 93: GIVE ME THE QUEEN OF THE UNDERWORLD! HADES
"Eros, don’t worry."
Styx grabbed his hand.
"From the look on Hades’ pale face and dark eyes, she seems pretty drained."
"With your skills, you’ll have her subdued in no time. Once that’s done, the entire Underworld will basically be your backyard."
"Exactly. Hades has always been gentle and tolerant. No matter what’s gotten into her this time, she’s never had a bad temper."
Even Demeter put in a good word for Hades.
"If you become Queen of the Underworld, she definitely won’t mistreat you. You can rest easy."
Hypnos didn’t speak up right away, she was struggling not to laugh.
"Big bro, if you really do become Queen of the Underworld, don’t be afraid."
"Your little sister here will back you up. The whole lineage of Night Gods is your solid support."
In an instant, everyone had switched sides.
They were more than happy to see Eros become the Queen of the Underworld, each with their own reasons.
Only Eros himself couldn’t quite accept the idea of passively settling for that role.
He was the kind of man who aimed to climb Olympus one step at a time, challenging every famed goddess along the way.
The Underworld was too small for his ambition.
Of course, he wasn’t the only one objecting.
While the others were still trying to persuade Eros, silent Hecate suddenly raised her hands and fired a barrage of vicious curses at Hades.
"Forget it. She’s just saying all this on purpose."
This was the first time anyone aside from Demeter had heard Hecate speak.
Her voice was mature and intellectual, but it trembled ever so slightly.
With a wave of her hand, Hades dispelled the curses, then stopped teasing Eros.
"You’re right. No matter what you say, regardless of whether it involves the throne of the Underworld, I have no intention of returning little Persephone to you."
She wasn’t trying to punish Eros, only her sisters. So she spoke frankly.
"Stop dreaming. My sister no longer belongs to you. She belongs to me now."
Lifting the veil from her head, Hades finally revealed her full appearance.
She bore some resemblance to Zeus, only she looked more mature.
Zeus was a flawless beauty, glowing with divine brilliance.
Hades, on the other hand, was a mature beauty with a dark aesthetic. Her maturity was both her strength and her weakness.
The only major difference between them was Hades’ wavy gray-white hair, unlike Zeus’ radiant strands that seemed to blaze with divine light.
Her long black eyeliner added a chill to her gaze, though it couldn’t hide the grace in her eyes.
"How long has it been since we sisters last fought each other?"
Demeter’s eyes grew cold, her sickle gleaming with frost.
"Yeah, it’s been a while. Probably back when we first crawled out of Father’s stomach."
"It wasn’t often, but I always won back then."
At that time, they had no divine offices, only raw talent to wield their powers.
So aside from Zeus, Demeter had been the best fighter among the sisters.
"But it won’t be like that now, Sister. Not anymore."
Two short daggers dropped from Hades’ sleeves into her hands, bound to her wrists by chains.
"If you want to take her back, you’ll have to come get her yourself. You know the rules."
"You don’t need to say it, I’m going to teach you a hard lesson anyway."
Demeter raised her sickle, and the two locked eyes.
Then, in sync, they launched into combat. The sickle clashed against the daggers, sparks flying in all directions.
They didn’t start with a head-on clash of divine authority, Demeter likely knew she wouldn’t have the upper hand.
Instead, they chose close-quarters combat. But with divine power enhancing them, even a fistfight could shake the entire Underworld.
Demeter’s sickle wasn’t a giant reaper’s blade, but a short, one-handed crescent.
Though it looked impractical, it was in fact the divine weapon Hrodreptus, the one Cronus used to cleave the sky and separate heaven from earth.
Although Demeter couldn’t replicate Cronus’ conceptual severing strike.
She had infused it with her own understanding of harvesting life. The chill of death in every swing of her sickle was no less terrifying than Cronus himself.
Though they claimed it had been ages since their last fight, their movements said otherwise.
They knew each other’s tactics and styles like the backs of their hands.
Even slight advantages or disadvantages weren’t enough to decide the outcome.
Eros watched with delight—not just because the fight was intense and exciting.
The real joy of watching women fight?
Demeter’s wild swings caused a certain... bounce beneath her sleeveless cloak.
Even Hypnos cringed in sympathy at the sight.
Hades wore a long black gown, but during combat, Demeter’s razor-sharp sickle repeatedly sliced it open.
Watching women fight is about seeing them tear each other’s clothes off!
Eros muttered to himself while watching.
"Demeter, couldn’t you aim the sickle a bit higher?"
"The belly’s white, sure, but higher up, it’s even whiter and larger. Rip it, and Hades will definitely panic—bam, a weakness."
"Don’t you know how women fight? Pull her hair, rip her clothes!"
Hmm... A mischievous idea struck Eros, and he leaned toward Hypnos’ ear.
"I’ve got a mission for you. See Hades’ shoulder strap? Go, slice it off."
"What? Me?"
Hypnos looked at him in disbelief, utterly confused.
"I can’t even last one round against you. Why would you think I could sneak up and cut Hades’ strap?"
"If I could fight like that, would you still be bullying me?"
"You’re useless."
Eros sighed with regret. Unfortunately, he couldn’t do it himself.
While he chuckled and enjoyed the show, the battle escalated.
The playful probing was over. Demeter lost patience and got serious.
Frost spread beneath her feet, but before it could expand, it was devoured by Underworld fire.
"Sister, in pure combat, we’re equals. But when it comes to divine authority, you’d better call in your allies."
Flames wrapped around the chains and pulled the daggers back into Hades’ hands.
Her expression brimmed with mockery and disdain.
Styx sighed, raised her hand, and summoned the waters of the Styx River to rush into the river of fire.
Steam exploded into the sky, only to be frozen again by Demeter, as they worked together to suppress Hades.
Styx stood behind Demeter, armed with spear and shield, ready to fight alongside her.
The two had once fought side by side in the Titanomachy. Their coordination remained flawless.
"Lady Hades, is peaceful resolution truly impossible?"
If she had her way, Styx was the last person who wanted this battle.
"No. It’s already too late."
Even Hades didn’t understand how things had come to this.
The six sisters who once stood united were now drifting apart.
Perhaps it was the curse of the royal line—that not only would they be overthrown by their children, but even sisters would grow estranged.
Hestia had seen through it long ago, choosing seclusion.
Hera and Demeter’s relationship soured over Zeus.
And with Hades and Poseidon assigned to different realms, distance formed there too.
All this... and it had only been one generation since the Titanomachy ended.
"It’s far too late now, Demeter!"
Hades, enraged, slammed her chain-wrapped arm down, shattering countless layers of ice.
Even though they’d been prepared, Demeter hadn’t expected such overwhelming force.
"Hecate! Are you still not going to help?"
Now, Hades bore the full mantle of the Underworld King and stood in its deepest domain.
Her divine might even faintly resembled Zeus’.
Eros’s eyes lit up as Hecate finally stirred.
Pulling down her hood, the triple-formed goddess revealed her divine face.
Three beautiful faces, youthful innocence, lively beauty, and mature elegance, appeared all at once.
This was Hecate, the triple goddess, whose appearance changed with the times of day.
And when all three forms emerged together, it meant she was unleashing her divine might.
She extended six flawless, jade-like arms, each holding a different artifact.
A torch dispelled Hades’ mist, a dagger sliced her palm to draw blood for runes.
A staff struck the ground, consuming the fiery souls summoned by Hades.
Other arms wielded a snake, a key, and a round wheel, each casting her own divine power.
She squeezed the snake’s throat, its venom transforming into protective spells that wrapped around Styx and Demeter.
She tossed the wheel into the sky, where it became a crescent moon and restored her mana to counter Hades’ power.
Only when Hecate revealed her full divine form and lent her full support did Demeter finally see a chance for victory.
Even Eros was stunned by the strength of the triple goddess.
According to Nyx, Hecate hadn’t fully merged into the Greek pantheon yet.
Many of her authorities remained inaccessible.
Yet even now, she could stand toe-to-toe with Hades, who wielded the complete power of the Underworld.
If this were her peak form... No, that’s just impossible.
For Hecate to regain all her divine rights would basically require another Titanomachy.
And she’d have to solo Olympus.
It was like she’d once topped all the charts on foreign servers, but now that she was in the Greek server, the leaderboards were already full.
If she wanted to rank again, she’d have to fight her way to the top all over again
