Yihun was pretty surprised when he woke up with a clear mind.

The last thing he remembered was going on a Rampage. Hence, it was a surprise that he woke up somber.

But maybe he was still dreaming.

"Are you really Moon Noa-nim or am I being delusional?"

A handsome older man was squatting down next to Yihun, looking down at him with interest in his eyes.

That golden hair... and that ridiculously handsome face...

It could only be Moon Noa— one of the most good-looking Guides in the world.

Even his visuals are S-tier.

"You’re not being delusional— I’m the real Moon Noa."

Yihun let out a sigh of relief. "Fucking finally, sir. You’re late."

"You’re not the first person who said that to me," Moon Noa said as if he were amused. "I didn’t know I was famous among kids in the Lab."

"Did you get my SOS letter, sir?"

"As expected— you are Noh Yihun."

"Yes, sir."

"You caused quite an explosion— it’s a miracle that you’re still alive. It seems like something has protected you," Moon Noa said, looking around as if he could see something Yihun couldn’t. "The Mana lingering around you is strange. It doesn’t seem like it belongs to you, though. I would know since I’m an S-Class Guide."

"Sir, I don’t understand what you’re saying. In fact, I don’t give a damn."

Moon Noa just chuckled, and then he stood up while extending his hand to Yihun. "Let me help you, kid."

"As you should, sir."

Once again, the S-Class Guide just laughed, and then he pulled Yihun up easily.

But damn.

Yihun realized that it was too early for him to move when his knees almost collapsed— every inch of his body hurt like hell.

Thankfully, Moon Noa caught him before he fell to the floor.

"Do you want to lay down again, kid?"

"No, sir. I’m fine..."

Yihun trailed off when he saw what was in front of him.

It was Charles Kang...

... who was about to be burned to death by Ryu Sungbin.

"I can read your expression, kid," Moon Noa said, laughing. "Do you want that man dead?"

"Yes," Yihun said firmly, turning to Moon Noa with pleading eyes. "Please kill that monster, sir."

"Sure."

Yihun expected Moon Noa to ask Ryu Sungbin to kill Charles Kang since the powerful Esper looked like he was about to do it anyway.

However, the S-Class Guide stepped forward while putting on a pair of gloves.

"I’m curious anyway as to how Charles Kang became a monster like this."

Yihun wasn’t dreaming when Charles Kang transformed, huh?

That old bastard hard really turned into a monster.

"Sungbin-ah, I’ll do it," Moon Noa said. "Just don’t let that old bastard escape."

Ryu Sungbin closed his hand, causing the flame that materialized above his hand to disappear. Then the Esper stepped aside to give way to Moon Noa. "Yes, Hyung. I tied that old bastard with Mana. Rest assured, he can’t escape even if he wants to."

Come to think of it, Yihun could see red ’ropes’ around Charles Kang’s body— thin ropes that looked like they were on fire.

It was as if Charles Kang was being roasted slowly.

Nice one.

"You’re going to kill me, Moon Noa?" Charles Kang asked, scoffing. This old bastard couldn’t move anymore, but he sure could still run his mouth. "I know you’re an S-Class Guide. But you weren’t raised like my little experiments. You’re not built to be an Esper. So, how are you going to kill me—"

BANG!

Yihun was shocked when he suddenly heard a gunshot.

Since it was Moon Noa who shot Charles Kang, it was inevitable for his eardrums to suffer since the S-Class Guide was standing in front of him.

A little heads up wouldn’t have hurt, you know?

Moreover, when did Moon Noa pull out a gun?

Yihun didn’t see since the S-Class Guide was tall and had a good build.

To be honest, Moon Noa-nim has the aura of an Esper.

"Bastard," Charles Kang cursed under his breath, his stomach— the part where Moon Noa shot him— bleeding. It was as if a faucet had been installed in his torso. "Do you an ordinary gun—"

Ryu Sungbin then snapped his fingers.

"ARGGGHHH!!!"

Yihun flinched when Charles Kang suddenly let out a blood-curdling scream.

Whatever Ryu Sungbin had done to the old bastard must have hurt a lot.

Heh.

Serves him right.

"It feels like your insides are burning, don’t they?" Moon Noa asked mockingly before dropping the gun. But the gun he dropped disappeared before it hit the ground. "Now I’m going to shoot you with a bullet that contains Lee Sarang’s Mana. She’s not here, but the bullets are already activated. So, your insides are going to freeze this time."

That was freaking cool.

Yihun watched intently as Moon Noa pointed the new gun at Charles Kang again— pointing at the monsters’ head this time.

Oh, Moon Noa-nim is gonna kill Charles Kang.

Although he couldn’t see the S-Class Guide’s expression at the moment, he could tell by Moon Noa’s posture that he was standing on business.

The fear in Charles Kang’s eyes confirmed that.

"W-Wait! You can’t kill me!" Charles Kang said. Although his words sounded tough, his voice was actually shaking in a mix of fear and panic. "Aren’t you curious as to how I turned into a monster? Let’s make a deal, Moon Noa! Spare me and I’ll answer all your questions—"

BANG!

Yihun was prepared this time— he covered his ears with his hands when he realized that Moon Noa was going to shoot based on his body language.

And he was right.

He let out a soft gasp when the bullet made its way on Charles Kang’s forehead.

"I don’t need you alive to know the answers I’m looking for," Moon Noa said, scoffing. "I can just dissect your body."

Aigoo.

Moon Noa’s words were more gruesome than the fact that he had shot someone.

Actually, it didn’t cause a gruesome scene like he expected.

Yihun thought Charles Kang’s brain would spill out.

Just like in the movies.

But not even blood was spilled.

Hmm?

Is that normal?

Yihun found out the answer to his question soon enough.

"HOW DARE A MERE HUMAN TRY AND KILL A GOD?"

Oh, damn it.

Yihun gasped softly when the voice that came out of Charles Kang’s body— when the old bastard’s mouth didn’t even move— sounded like it came out from the ground.

It was low, cold, and brought chills down his spine.

Even Moon Noa and Ryu Sungbin froze on the spot.

They all felt it in their bones.

This thing is a god— and we’ll find out what kind of god it is soon enough...
