Wei Yucheng could also hear what Wei Min Lin was saying, and he suddenly felt that this sister of his was really good. At least she was trying to make Luo Huian see things clearly. If he hadn’t realised that Luo Huian liked him, why would he propose to her in front of everyone like that? “Do you need me for something?” Luo Huian asked. She stared at the mer with a frown on her face while trying to suppress the embarrassment that she was feeling at the moment. Luo Huian’s eyes widened when something soft, yet hard and warm, crashed against her lips. A second later, she could feel a sort of energy flow within her internal core and warm it. The weakness in her body started to slowly diminish, and soon she was standing upright, and her pallid complexion turned a bit better, regaining some colour.

When Wei Yucheng pulled away, she was simply too angry to say anything else. Wiping her lips with the back of her hand, she glared at the mer who was standing in front of her with a smile on his lips like he had every right to kiss her.

‘At least you got your spiritual energy back,’ mused Xiao Hei.

Luo Huian didn’t think before implementing the technique, which led to the chaos. If she had known then, she would have thought twice before bringing this trouble home.

Wei Yucheng simply smiled; he didn’t look the least bit bothered by the glare that Luo Huian had given him. He said to her, “I am sorry for being so rash just now, Miss Luo, but after nearly losing you, I seemed to have lost my mind. The last thing I want is for you to not know how I feel about you. It just feels so —” He clenched his collar and spoke in a hushed whisper, “So wrong. I mean, what would I do if you were to leave me without me even getting a chance to confess my feelings for you? So, now that I have summoned the courage to do it, I daringly made a move.”

“Great going, but I refuse,” said Luo Huian. She had no idea what this mer was even trying to do, but she had no desire to get involved with him. Something was really off about this mer who was all over the place.

“Psh, it’s alright. You will get used to it,” said Wei Yucheng as he waved her rejection aside. He winked at her before saying to her, “I will make you get used to me until you can no longer live without me.”

“You are joking, right?” said Luo Huian as she stared at the mer who was getting more and more careless with her. “Tell me that you are joking.”

In response to her question, Wei Yucheng simply grinned, which meant that this mer certainly wasn’t joking with her. Suddenly, her spine started to tingle, and she felt like she had ended up getting involved in a mess that she shouldn’t have tangled in at all.

“You don’t have to be shy, you know?” Wei Yucheng chuckled. “I know I am quite fascinating.”

“I just know one thing, and that is you are kind of shameless!” Luo Huian exclaimed. What kind of proposal was this? This man was just going all over the place without asking for her permission or what she wanted.

Of course, even though she had a lot to say about Wei Yucheng, the mer didn’t necessarily care about what she had to say. He smiled and waved his hand off before taking his leave. No matter how one looked at it, he was just doing what he wanted to do!

“He is an idiot, that’s what he is,” remarked Luo Huian. She wanted to stop and question that mer and ask him why he was teasing her like this, but it was impossible. It was as if she had the answer to her questions, but she was too scared to even move forward.

And this was why she didn’t want to get involved with someone like Wei Yucheng.

“Then what happened to that mer?” Luo Huian asked. She looked at the screen quite seriously. But she didn’t see any headlines about the mer getting arrested. She turned and looked at Luo Qingling before saying to her, “How come I don’t see the mer getting arrested?”

“Because he was not arrested,” said Luo Qingling with a sigh. “The second the Hollow broke through, he ran away and hid. It seemed like he was aware of what might happen to him, which was why he didn’t appear till now, and the police is also having a hard time finding him.”
