CHAPTER 645: FIXED

Qi Yongrui sat up straight. He looked at the television screen and at the same time thought of the good things that his wife had done the last time the two of them were together on the night when she killed him. He knew that he was dead. Because he almost saw the gates of hell, just as he was pulled back and brought back to life.

He glanced at Nan Zhi and Nan Wu, who were happier than he had ever seen them, and thought that they would be fine without him. Turning on the wheelchair, he returned to the ward where Luo Huian was supposed to be resting. Now that he thought about it, last night, he was quite worried about Luo Huian, and yet Qi Yongrui didn’t even think about going to her ward and taking a look.

Why did he not think of it? Why did he not go to see her last night? There were so many questions that he wanted to ask, but he had no idea who to even ask these questions to. He rushed to the ward, and just as he opened the door of the room, he sensed that there was something wrong.

"Huian?" Qi Yongrui called out when he noticed the darkness in the room. However, when he didn’t hear a response, his heartbeat escalated, and his fear gripped his heart. He hurriedly moved the wheelchair inside the room, cursing himself for being disabled and relying on this machine when he could have run to look for his wife at once.

His hands patted the wall looking for the switch for the light, and when he found it, he turned it on immediately. The bright light scattered all over the room, and Qi Yongrui heaved a sigh of relief. However, that sigh got stuck right within his chest when he saw the sight in front of him.

"Huian!"

Qi Yongrui’s eyes popped out of his sockets when he saw Luo Huian sitting on the bed and heaving heavily. But that was not what shocked him; it was the sight of the blood that was scattered all over the bed that scared the shit out of him.

He moved his wheelchair over to the bed, and he hurriedly questioned her, "What happened? Why didn’t you call the nurse when you were hurting like this? Are you crazy?" As he spoke, he rubbed her back as he could sense her struggle to breathe. At the same time, he tried to reach the emergency bell button.

"You—why are you here?" Qi Yongrui heard Luo Huian speak; her eyes were dazed, but at least she could see him.

He softly spoke to her, "How can I not come when you are suffering like this? I mean, you do know how to call for a nurse, don’t you? Then why didn’t you–"

He was still speaking when Luo Huian reached out and cupped his cheeks. He thought that Luo Huian was trying to hold onto him because she was trying to recover her breath. And when she touched him, Qi Yongrui sucked in a breath. She felt so cold, so fucking cold that she and a corpse might have the same temperature. If not for the fact that she was moving and talking, he would have thought that she was dead!

"What happened to you?" Qi Yongrui couldn’t help but ask; even his hand stopped moving because of the shock that he received. He stared at the woman in front of him, and wondered what was happening to her.

"You—" Just as Qi Yongrui thought that she was going to tell him something, she reached out and kissed him. Kissed? What the —

Qi Yongrui wanted to push her away, tell her that this was not the time for her to do such a thing, but the woman didn’t let him pull away; she was so fucking strong that he felt like pushing her away would lead to his jaw getting dislocated. She was holding onto him with a strength like that.

And that wasn’t all. The kiss that she gave him was stomach-stirring. Their teeth clashed, her tongue lashed against his, and he could feel her tongue tasting every single corner of his mouth. He could taste blood that had seeped between her teeth and small nooks and crannies of her mouth.

It was wild and chaotic.

And by the time she pulled away, Qi Yongrui could feel his head swoon. The kiss was that chaotic!

"Breathe," she told him as she nibbled on his bottom lip. "You will pass out like this."

"Of—of course," Qi Yongrui stupidly commented. He knew that he should be breathing while kissing her, but he couldn’t help it when Luo Huian was kissing him like she was trying to suck his soul out of his body.

The woman chuckled before taking his lips again. He could feel the heat heading straight to his crotch the second she touched him. His toes curled within his shoes, and the hair on the small of his neck started to slowly rise, making goosebumps prick his skin.

He closed his eyes and relished the pleasure that was slowly rising within his body.

And by the time the two of them pulled away, he felt like he was about to faint once again. Fortunately, the woman stopped kissing him, or else if she had continued to kiss him another second more, he would have totally fainted!

BUMP.

Yeah, just like that....Bump?

Qi Yongrui turned to look at the woman, who was now knocked unconscious. Though she looked a bit sick, she no longer looked as pale and scary as before; at least she had recovered a little bit of blood, thankfully. Qi Yongrui sucked in a breath, not even understanding what the woman was trying to do. She was so sick, but she still stupidly kissed him? Was she that horny? That she wanted to die trying to get the pleasure that she wanted? Don’t think that he didn’t feel the weak tugs that she made when she was trying to pull his shirt off his body.

Sighing, he helped her down on the bed and, firstly, wiped the blood off his lips before turning to press the button to call the nurse and the doctors who were in charge. At the same time, he sucked in a breath to prepare himself to deal with the nurses. How dare they leave his wife alone like this! Did they think that they were too good tempered that they were treating his wife like this?

How dare they not take a look at his wife all night long? They should be glad that murder was not allowed, or else he would have totally done it.

"It seems like she had a cardiac arrest," said the doctor, feeling cold sweat coat his back. He looked at the reports that he was holding and felt like he was just about to faint. This was not their usual daily patient! This was Luo Huian. A VVVIP! She was the heiress of the Luo family and the precious sister of Luo Qingling.

And that wasn’t all. She was the only one who could deal with the Hollows and Glooms, and in case something happened to her, he was worried that the people would have burnt their hospital to the ground! What were these stupid nurses even thinking? How could they forget checking up on Luo Huian just like that.

Fortunately, Qi Yongrui came to look for Luo Huian or else who knows what would have happened if the cardiac arrest really happened!? These fools.

"How careless is your hospital and its staff!?" Ye Shun snapped angrily. When he heard that his daughter had coughed up blood, he was already scared silly, and now, when he heard that Luo Huian had almost had a cardiac arrest, he was so scared that he almost fainted!

With Luo Yeqing helping him up, he glared at the doctor. "You are very lucky that my daughter is fine, or else I would have made sure that all of you would have been imprisoned in the prison cells for overlooking her condition. You knew that she was in need of resuscitation a few days ago, and yet you left her alone. Were you expecting something to happen to her or something!?"

"Of course not!" The Doctor turned pale in the face and shook his head fervently. "How could we even think of something like that? Mister Ye, please be assured, we will never do something like that, never! I just—we just made a momentary lapse of judgment by giving the responsibility of taking care of Miss Luo to someone who failed in taking care of her. I will definitely let this matter be known to the chief and the directors of the hospital. Rest assured, I will properly give you an explanation for this situation."

Ye Shun was not satisfied but what else could be done, as he couldn’t possibly make a fuss with the doctor when he was doing his best as well.
