"Then this must be done by Ruan Chanchan," one of the elders touched the back of her head and looked at Ruan Chanchan with a hint of coldness. "I did hear that Yuan Ni and Ruan Chanchan had some friction between one another; surely, with the power in her hands, she must have taken her anger out on Yuan Ni. Maybe we should take the responsibility of teaching and checking the mushrooms away from her and give it to someone else. "And what do you think you are doing?" Nan Zhi came running with Nan Wu when he heard what was happening outside. He was not as strong but his sister was, and when Nan Wu came to a stop next to Ruan Chanchan, even if Shao Xia wanted to attack Ruan Chanchan, she had to take a step back.

Nan Zhi glared at Shao Xia. He then turned to look at the elders who wanted to take the job of teaching others from Ruan Chanchan and said to her, "Who are you going to give the task to? Elder Lin stepped forward and said, "There is no need to do such a thing; we can simply feed it to the beasts and see which one is poisonous and which one is not."

"Then you mean to say that you are not only going to steal the idea but also the credit from Ruan Chanchan and make it all about yourself?" Nan Wu glanced at the elder who was speaking and questioned in a low voice.

"Thats not what I meant–"

"Then I do not see what else you are trying to do?" Nan Wu fired back. "You want to snatch the job from Ruan Chanchan without even finding any evidence. Why would she want to hurt Yuan Ni? And that too so deliberately as that? Everyone knows that she is the one who came up with the idea of eating mushrooms. If something happens, then everyone is going to blame her. She is not an idiot for doing such a thing."

The elders had nothing to say regarding this, and many of the people in the tribe also agreed with what Nan Wu said. Indeed, Ruan Chanchan was the one who found the mushrooms, and if something happened to someone, then she would be the one who would get the blame. So, why would she do such a foolish thing?

"She must have done it," when Shao Xia saw that everyone was siding with Ruan Chanchan, her eyes widened with anger. Even though she didn’t like Yuan Ni, he was still one of her loyal dogs. Ruan Chanchan closed her eyes and breathed heavily. She then turned to look at Shao Xia before saying to her, "I heard you; now get out of my way so that I can save this mer."

"Save... what do you mean by save?" Shao Xia felt her heart skip a beat when she heard Ruan Chanchan say that she would be able to save Yuan Ni. If Ruan Chanchan saved this mer, then all her hard work would go down the drain, not to mention everyone would start thinking that Ruan Chanchan was the messiah of the tribe if she brought Yuan Ni back to life. Ruan Chanchan rolled her eyes as she tried to side-step the woman. "What? Did you think that I could not deal with mushroom poisoning?
