"Why are you worrying about that fool?" Xie Daiyu had still not forgotten how Ruan Chanchan had to kiss that mer to help him revive. However, he suppressed his bad mood and comforted Ruan Chanchan first. "Chanchan, you shouldn’t blame yourself. No matter what, it’s none of your business. Don’t blame yourself." He knew that Ruan Chanchan was upset and hurried to comfort her and make her feel better.

Ruan Chanchan sighed. She said, "I just feel angry. How can someone treat their life so casually? If I were in his place, I would never try to kill myself in such a cowardly manner. And especially not for a person who doesn’t even care about me."

"Yes, yes, you are right. He is an unruly fool, sister. Do not make yourself up because of him," said Ruan Zeqiu as he jogged next to his sister.

"Don’t think too much and just rest in your cave today. I will ask my mother to bring the bamboo shoots from the mountains for you, so you can calm down and take a nap," Xie Daiyu said to Ruan Chanchan. He wanted to stay with her, but he knew that after what happened, Ruan Chanchan needed to take some rest. So it was better for her to go back to her cave and take a nice, peaceful nap.

Although Ruan Chanchan didn’t seem like she was shaken up, Xie Daiyu felt that she needed some rest. This ordeal must have taken some toll on her.

Even Ruan Zeqiu felt that Ruan Chanchan was affected by what happened. He held her hand and said to her in a comforting voice, "Sister, he is right. You should take some rest; you have been running around all day. You must be tired."

Su Mo was very angry. He thought that Shao Xia had finally moved after seeing the efforts of his dear friend, but this was what she had been planning all along. Yuan Ni might not matter to Shao Xia, but there were people who cared for him. How could these actions of hers not make someone angry?

"No, it’s not her fault. I was the one who agreed to do it," Yuan Ni said with some difficulty. The pain in his body had gotten better, and he no longer felt like he was being roasted over fire, but he still felt a bit tired, as if all his energy had been sapped out of his body.

Su Mo knew his friend really well. Yuan Ni cared about his little life. There was no way he would dare to kill himself, and that too for no reason. But in the end, even Su Mo couldn’t say anything.
