CHAPTER 91: RUAN CHANCHAN: FINDING BLOOD THORN BERRIES

As soon as Xiao Xi finished speaking, Ruan Chanchan immediately entered the very thing that she was searching for. Since she had a cheat code, Ruan Chanchan would be a fool not to use it. "Ruan Chanchan," the mer called out.

Ruan Chanchan closed her eyes and cursed her luck; if only she were a step ahead. If only she had left a few seconds ago, then things would have been different. At least this mer wouldn’t have caught her.

Xie Daiyu walked over to where Ruan Chanchan was standing and looked down at the woman. He blinked his long black lashes and deadpanned, "You are not happy to see me."

Though Ruan Chanchan wanted to say something really infuriating, she still held herself back when Xiao Xi whispered to her that this mer was the son of the tribe leader and she couldn’t lose her temper with him, no matter how much she wanted to do that.

Ruan Chanchan was really annoyed.

"Thats a misunderstanding," still smiling sweetly, Ruan Chanchan rubbed her hands together and said to the mer, "How can I not be happy to see the next leader of the tribe? I am just confused. I mean, why are you here to see me? When you obviously have many people who are waiting to see you every day."

As she spoke, Ruan Chanchan peered over Xie Daiyu’s shoulder, and sure enough, she could see a bunch of women glaring at her as if she had ravaged their caves and stolen their meat. Xie Daiyu followed her line of sight, and when he saw the people peering at the two of them, he raised his hackles and glared at the crowd of women. How dare they glare at his destined one? Even he wouldn’t dare to do such a thing to her now that he knew that she was her destined one.

No sooner did the mer glare at the people who were looking at them than they immediately stiffened and turned around to escape. They were worried that if they were a step too slow, they might become the prey of an angry mer.

When Ruan Chanchan saw the group of women running away, she felt her lips twitch. She had to admit that these people really lacked guts. Just one glare and they ran away? She then turned to look at Xie Daiyu, who was now looking at her as if waiting for her to praise him.

Looking at his expression, which was filled with smugness as if he had done something really good, Ruan Chanchan was simply speechless. Ignoring the look on his face, she repeated, "What do you want, Xie Daiyu?"

When Xie Daiyu heard her cold and distant voice, he frowned. However, he was not much of a speaker, and he couldn’t bring himself to say that he was here to see her. In the end, he simply pursed his lips and said to her, "I came here because I wanted to see how you are doing. Last night, your body was really cold and only warmed up when I hugged you all night."

"I see, thank you. WHAT—?" Ruan Chanchan raised her voice and looked up at the mer with shock brimming in her eyes. She blinked her lashes that fanned against her cheeks, and Xie Daiyu wished to caress those plump and pale cheeks with his fingers, suddenly feeling jealous of those fan-like lashes that could touch her without any restraints. "You—you hugged me last night?" Ruan Chanchan stammered, feeling like she had lost something important.

When did this happen?

"I did." Xie Daiyu tilted his head to one side and stated, "You were turning blue and we had no idea what was going on with you, so I had no choice but to hug you and share my warmth with you."

An explosion resounded in Ruan Chanchan’s head and at the same time, Xiao Xi exclaimed. "Ah! So that’s how it is."
