CHAPTER 13: CHAPTER 13: STRAWBERRY

Sienna Monroe woke up at around eight in the morning the next day.

Even though she slept for a long time, she still felt very tired and exhausted. Those incessant, intricate dreams had drained her energy completely.

The rain outside hadn’t stopped, falling softly.

Breakfast was brought up by Auntie Miller, and after eating, Sienna sent the photos, videos, and recordings all packed together to Sebastian Prescott.

After considering for a moment, she typed a question: Leo Prescott, if he’s long-term renting a hotel room to meet up with a mistress, can this be considered cohabitation?

Sebastian replied after more than ten minutes: Does the stay last long each time?

Sienna pursed her lips: Not too sure, but this time it was only for two days.

Sebastian: Legally, cohabitation usually refers to married individuals living with a third party in a stable and long-term manner, not under marital status. If he’s renting a room over a long period just to stay with a mistress for a few days each month, it doesn’t constitute as cohabitation.

Sienna’s heart instantly felt like it had been washed through cold water.

Is this also Caleb Sinclair’s consideration?

She was startled for a moment, biting her lips as she typed: What if I can obtain records of her long-term room rentals and regular monthly stays at the hotel with a mistress?

Sebastian: If you can get that, it will certainly be advantageous for you. But the definition of cohabitation is relatively strict. Once there’s sufficient evidence of cohabitation, he can be charged with bigamy. But based on what you said, it can only prove his infidelity.

Sienna: Okay, I understand, thank you.

Since Caleb Sinclair can rent a room long-term at that hotel, he likely has a good relationship with the hotel. If she goes with their marriage certificate to ask the staff for an invoice or records, surely it will alert them.

She could only look for any hotel orders on Caleb Sinclair’s phone.

She logged into several online banking accounts familiar to Caleb Sinclair, checking transaction records from the time they were together last year, but there were no issues.

Initially, she thought there wouldn’t be any findings, since these bank card accounts were public, and with his prudence, he wouldn’t be so blatant.

But unexpectedly, she found a transaction on Valentine’s Day this year, 1,314,520, and upon clicking to view, the recipient was Vivian Nash.

Sienna stared at the transaction number, her hand trembled violently as she slid the touch screen unknowingly.

Once her hand stopped shaking so much, she took a picture with her phone and logged out of the online banking.

Caleb Sinclair returned at eleven-thirty.

Along with a suitcase in his hand, he also had a Wild Lane strawberry cake.

Wild Lane is a popular cake shop in Veridian City, and unique to the city.

Sienna had eaten their cakes twice, and the taste was quite nice.

She was quite surprised to see Caleb Sinclair bring back a cake from Wild Lane.

If she hadn’t seen him last night with Vivian Nash walking into The Crestview Hotel, she would have believed he really went on a business trip to Veridian City.

So... how did this cake come to be?

Caleb Sinclair had already walked up to her, waving his hand in front of her, smiling, "What’s the matter? Don’t recognize your husband anymore?"

Sienna snapped back, stammering as she pulled out a smile and took the cake, "Why not, I’m just surprised you brought me a Wild Lane cake."

"Happy?"

"Happy indeed." Sienna’s eyes brightened, "Thank you, hubby, it’s hard work."

Caleb Sinclair seriously observed her expression, "Have you been eating and resting well these two days?"

"Yes, I slept well last night."

Sienna replied as she opened the cake and ate a few bites.

How did this cake come to be?

Sienna couldn’t figure it out, but as Caleb Sinclair leaned closer, she keenly noticed a mark below his collar.

Like a strawberry.

It seemed to have been covered with foundation, not very noticeable until the collar rubbed off some of it.

It must have been a night of wild passion.

Sienna’s heart tightened, compressed with some pain.

The smile on her face diminished slightly.

Her eyelashes lowered, hiding the mist that emerged as her eyes clouded.

At noon, the two of them had lunch together, and Caleb Sinclair considerately peeled shrimp for her. Meanwhile, he got a call from the president of Capital University, inviting the couple to return for the anniversary.

Caleb Sinclair did not immediately agree, using his eyes to inquire Sienna.

Sienna thought for a moment, then nodded to indicate her willingness.

Though she didn’t understand how things got to this point with Caleb Sinclair, her campus days, beyond romance, held many treasured memories.

She wouldn’t dismiss them all together.

Caleb Sinclair agreed, exchanged some pleasantries with the president, and then hung up.

He instinctively tugged at his collar, put his gloves back on, and continued peeling shrimp, asking, "Honey, do you want to buy some clothes? I noticed you haven’t bought clothing since fall began."

"Sure."

Sienna paused, withdrawing her gaze; her voice was calm, her tone lingering.

"I have a meeting this afternoon, after which I’ll go with you..."

She shook her head in refusal, "No need, I’ll choose on my phone and have them deliver it here. It’s raining; I don’t want to go out."

Caleb Sinclair laughed at this, "Still dislike rainy days, huh?"

Sienna didn’t eat the shrimp he peeled, picking up some greens with her chopsticks, "Yes, I dislike them."

Always have disliked them.

"Then buy on your phone."

Seeing she hadn’t touched the shrimp, Caleb Sinclair asked, "Is the shrimp not to your taste today?"

She usually loves shrimp.

"No, just felt like eating something light, don’t waste it, you eat."

She smiled softly, pushing the peeled shrimp toward him.

Caleb Sinclair knew she hadn’t had much appetite lately, so he said, "I’ll cook for you when I get back tonight."

"Okay."

They pleasantly finished lunch, and Caleb Sinclair rested for half an hour before driving to the company.

Sienna stood at the door for quite a while, her expression cold, until Auntie Miller came over to remind her, "Madam, don’t stand there in the wind; you’ll get a headache."

"Yes."

She responded faintly, her gaze shifting from the pear tree as she turned into the room, curling up on the sofa, selecting clothing styles with brand store representatives.

Choosing from clothes, skirts, hats, shoes, bags, necklaces, earrings, she matched full sets, purchasing three outfits.

She used the card that Caleb Sinclair had transferred funds to Vivian Nash for Valentine’s Day.

She spent over four million.
