Half-Hearted: Mr. Sinclair, Stop the Act!
Chapter 23: Watching the Show
CHAPTER 23: CHAPTER 23: WATCHING THE SHOW
Sienna Monroe’s pupils contracted.
She wondered why Vivian Nash, if she wanted to ditch her, would agree to come to the basketball court with her?
It turned out the sports equipment room was near the basketball court, approximately a hundred meters away.
Capital University has two sports equipment rooms, one old and one newly completed, funded by Caleb Sinclair.
Although the two equipment rooms were connected, the new one is bigger and better equipped, so most of the equipment was placed there, while the old one had turned into a storage.
Broken and scrapped equipment was stored inside, and the staff only check and record it periodically.
As Sienna arrived, many students were receiving and returning items at the entrance of the new equipment room. The entrance of the old one was on the side rear, with a small alley window, which was less populated.
She turned and unexpectedly saw someone leaning casually against the wall, one hand in pocket, with a nonchalant expression, coupled with a touch of laziness between his brows.
Sienna was so shocked she almost popped her eyes out.
"Shh!"
Sebastian Prescott raised a finger to his lips.
Sienna immediately covered her mouth, swallowing her gasp of surprise.
Sebastian gestured towards the window inside. Sienna immediately understood and tiptoed over. As soon as she stopped, she heard heavy and light breaths coming from inside.
Sienna shuddered, her gaze momentarily frozen.
She couldn’t believe they couldn’t hold back, openly and brazenly doing this in broad daylight. Weren’t they afraid of being discovered?
Her mind was so numb it was barely functioning. When she saw Sebastian pointing at her phone, she opened the recording app mechanically, though her hand trembled uncontrollably.
Seeing this, Sebastian thought for a few seconds and took her phone to prevent it from falling and making a noise, disrupting things.
"I miss you. Will you keep me company today? It’s been more than half a month."
Vivian Nash nestled against his chest, coquettishly, her hand restlessly touched his pants pocket.
Caleb Sinclair’s eyes immediately darkened, his Adam’s apple sliding as he held her wrist, his voice rough and breathy, "Don’t be naughty, behave. Not today, okay?"
"When’s another day?" Vivian grumbled, unhappy, forcibly freed her hand and reached up again, "Your dear Sienna was scolding me this morning."
"Hmm... why would she scold you?"
"She just did. I feel bad and uncomfortable hearing it."
"Hiss..."
Caleb’s eyes reddened slightly, grasping her chin as he leaned down to kiss her.
Hearing the sounds from inside, Sienna felt embarrassed and uncomfortable, not daring to even glance at Sebastian.
Inside was definitely a wonderful drama; they could only hear, not see it.
Sienna closed her eyes in despair, feeling nothing but numbness throughout.
The kiss inside lasted almost three minutes, which to Sienna felt like an eternity, excruciatingly prolonged.
Finally, with a shred of rationality remaining, Caleb restrained Vivian’s actions, "Enough, this isn’t the right occasion. Be good."
Vivian stomped her foot, voice coy, "But I miss you."
"Hmm, but not today." Caleb kissed her cheek.
"Are you afraid Sienna will find out?"
Just as those words were spoken, there was noise outside the door. Sebastian raised his eyebrows, stopped the recording, returned the phone to her, and nodded towards the alley entrance.
Sienna nodded to indicate she understood.
The originally flirtatious couple inside immediately fell silent.
Inside the room were two "actors," while outside the wall were other spectators.
When the noise outside the door ceased, Sienna, also afraid of being discovered, didn’t have more time to think and dragged Sebastian out through a corner exit.
Sienna exhaled deeply, looked back at the composed and calm man, took a sip of bubble tea, and gradually calmed down, curiously asking, "Why were you there just now?"
