Chapter 126 - 125: Will This Love Triangle Ever End?
CHAPTER 126: CHAPTER 125: WILL THIS LOVE TRIANGLE EVER END?
Miura Yumiko, a golden-haired beauty, was considered the class flower of Roland’s class, despite her somewhat fiery temperament.
Now, this class flower seemed to be jealous of Kawasaki Sakura because Roland had given Sakura a bento box. This was completely unexpected for Roland. If Yumiko was jealous because of him, didn’t that mean she liked him?
Ah... Am I really that popular?
Roland was bewildered. To be honest, he had always known he had good relationships with some of the girls in his class, but he had always assumed it was just because of the food he shared. They were friends, but there seemed to be a distance between them and he never seen any hope for anything more intimate.
After all, whenever Yumiko took his pastries, she never lingered by his side. She would immediately return to her own clique.
It felt more like she was just dropping by a friend’s place for a free meal, not like she was trying to develop a closer relationship. But now, with the evidence right in front of him, Roland had to admit: was he really having a stroke of romantic luck?
Following this line of thinking, could it be that all the other girls who came to mooch pastries, aside from Yumiko, also felt...
Ahem, though this thought was undeniably narcissistic, given Yumiko’s precedent, who could say for sure?
At least Roland felt that Yui Yuigahama was excessively clingy. Every time class ended, she would slide her desk over to join his, sometimes just grinning foolishly at him without doing anything else.
She gave off the vibe of a simple-minded girl next door.
"Spill it," Miura Yumiko demanded, crossing her arms and leaning against the wall, glaring at him as if she wouldn’t let him off the hook without an explanation. "What’s your relationship with Kawasaki-san?"
They weren’t even dating, so Roland technically owed her no explanation.
But Yumiko’s personality was like that—anyone she had her eye on, even without a confession, was already hers.
"Yumiko, you’ve got the wrong idea," Roland quickly reassured her. "Sakura and I are just classmates who happen to sit next to each other. We’re nowhere near dating."
Yumiko’s personality might be domineering, but she was still a beautiful girl. With such a girl caring so deeply for him, he couldn’t find a reason to reject her.
"Really? Then why did you go out of your way to bring her lunch? This isn’t the first time, is it?" Miura Yumiko remained displeased.
"Actually... it was just out of sympathy. I know a little about her family situation. You could say they’re barely making ends meet. As a classmate, I can’t do much to help, but bringing her lunch seemed like the least I could do, right?" Roland quickly explained.
"Barely making ends meet? Does anyone still struggle to put food on the table these days?"
"It’s not about being poor. Her younger sister is hospitalized and needs expensive surgery. Haven’t you noticed her sleeping in class every day? That’s because she works late-night part-time jobs."
"Is that so...? How did you find out about this?" Yumiko remained skeptical. How could he have learned such private information unless they were close?
"It’s a coincidence, actually. Her mother is the private driver for one of my relatives. The reason I took time off this month was to help with this matter," Roland said, taking both of Yumiko’s hands in his to reassure her.
Roland knew that in situations like this, Yumiko wasn’t really seeking explanations or justifications. What she truly wanted was the same intimacy he showed when caring for Sakura.
Sure enough, the moment Roland took her hand, Yumiko’s skeptical mood instantly transformed.
Gazing at their intertwined hands, her cheeks flushed slightly as she declared with satisfaction, "I’ll trust you this once. But from now on, you’ll have to make my lunch every day and personally deliver it to me. No problem, right?"
"No problem at all. It’s just a meal—a piece of cake for me."
"Hmph, that’s more like it. Let’s go home together today."
Yumiko was a fiercely possessive girl. Holding hands wasn’t enough; she even wrapped her arms around Roland’s, deliberately pressing her soft breasts against his arm in a blatant attempt to declare to the entire class that this man belonged to her and no one else should even think about making a move.
But things didn’t go as planned.
Miura Yumiko never imagined that the rival for her man wouldn’t be Kawasaki Sakura, nor anyone else in their class, but rather a beautiful pink-haired teacher?!
Just as Yumiko was about to pull Roland back to class, an untimely voice suddenly called out from behind them.
"Roland?"
At the sound of that voice, both Yumiko and Roland froze in their tracks. They recognized it instantly—it was their history teacher.
Yumiko might be domineering, but she couldn’t possibly continue her public display of affection in front of a teacher. Reluctantly, she released Roland and greeted Teacher Mayu.
"Teacher Mayu?" Roland turned to face the newcomer. The pink-haired teacher, still as stunning as ever in her office attire, reminded him of that afternoon in the infirmary when he, Karena and Yuki had... attended a biology lesson for the entire afternoon right in front of her.
He even remembered hinting to the teacher that he had a girlfriend, only for her to mistakenly assume he was referring to himself as her boyfriend.
But now that the effects of the Hypnosis Technique had worn off, Teacher Mayu must have realized something was amiss, right?
Great. Now he’d run into her face-to-face. This was bad, extremely bad.
"Why didn’t you tell me you were coming to class?" Kirisu Mayu frowned, clearly displeased. What irked her even more was that, though Yumiko had released Roland’s arm, their pinkies remained intertwined, like a lingering connection.
This looks like they’re dating, no matter how you look at it.
What’s going on here?
Roland is flirting with the class beauty, even though he already has me, his teacher, as his girlfriend?
"I just got to school and haven’t had a chance to tell you yet," Roland quickly explained.
"You could have called me first."
"Huh?"
"Ahem, never mind. Come with me."
Roland was bewildered. Why did he even need to notify Teacher Mayu specifically when he came to school? Shouldn’t he inform his homeroom teacher, Hiratsuka Shizuka, instead?
Kirisu Mayu realized her mistake. Her words had inadvertently revealed that she secretly contacted students. What if people suspected they were having an affair?
She quickly cut herself off and demanded Roland accompany her. After a month apart, she had too much to say and too many questions she wanted to ask him.
Perhaps spurred by Roland and Yumiko holding hands, Kirisu Mayu’s competitive spirit flared. As soon as she finished speaking, she strode forward, grabbed Roland’s hand, and forcibly dragged him away from Yumiko to a secluded spot. There, she proceeded to... .
Yumiko was left standing alone, utterly bewildered at the sudden turn of events!
