He listed out the tasks he needed to complete in his notebook, and then carefully considered which spells, ancient runes, and incantations to use.

For the unclear parts, he could consult Professor Murray later; for spells he hadn't fully mastered, he would borrow books from Madam Pince.

Madam Pince seemed to have read every single book in the library. Even if Wade could only vaguely describe what he needed, she would immediately find the corresponding book for him.

Despite her deep familiarity with the library, every time Wade saw her, she was always reading a book.

Unless a student violated the library's rules—then Madam Pince would immediately rush over in fury and angrily drive them away.

Just like now—

A few students, who had started arguing for some reason, were being chased by a flying feather duster and they ran out of the library with their heads covered in fear. The other students watched in shock, and the hushed whispers in the library instantly ceased.

The worn-out feather duster flew back to the administrator's desk and dropped into a wicker basket. Its feathers moved slightly, as if breathing.

Madam Pince smoothed out the stray hairs near her temples, then turned back and, upon seeing Wade waiting by the desk, finally revealed a faint smile.

"What books do you need this time, dear?"

A few minutes later, Wade returned to his seat with a heavy stack of books, only to find someone sitting there.

"—Harry?"

Harry nodded. Just as he was about to speak, Wade gestured for him to remain silent. He took out his wand, waved it around the area, and then put it away.

The surrounding sounds immediately turned into a soft buzzing, like bees gathering nectar in the distance—so faint that one wouldn't notice it unless paying close attention.

"You can talk now," Wade said. "You don't know what happened to Remus, right?"

Harry nodded, then shook his head.

"I didn't know at first, but just now… Professor McGonagall told me."

He looked up, and his eyes were filled with worry as he asked Wade, "So is it true? Did Remus… transform into a werewolf in public and attack people?"

Wade replied, "He transformed on the streets of Hogsmeade, but he probably wasn't seen—"

The vampires who had witnessed the scene were likely being pursued by Dumbledore, so they didn't count.

Those vampires had wanted to publish the story in the newspapers, but Wade had been monitoring The Daily Prophet for the past few days, and everything remained calm. People weren't even interested in those three fugitives anymore.

Surprisingly, Minister Fudge had issued a new law banning government officials from being interviewed via Streaming Mirror, which was reportedly met with significant opposition.

When Wade saw the news, he casually sent a message to Colliver—the equivalent of a TV station director on Marchionne's side—asking them to submit an application to the Ministry of Magic every few days, requesting an interview with Madam Umbridge.

After a brief pause, Wade said, "And he didn't attack any bystanders either. Hagrid was there and managed to subdue the rampaging Remus. Dumbledore arrived quickly, and no one in Hogsmeade was injured."

"But… how did he suddenly transform?" Harry asked, still deeply worried. "I asked Hermione, and she said this doesn't align with the typical traits of a werewolf."

Wade knew that Lupin had likely been sabotaged, but without a clear understanding of the cause, he refrained from making any assumptions. Instead, he simply said,

"Trust Professor Dumbledore—he's investigating. Maybe he'll tell us the reason soon."

Harry nodded and fell into a long silence before finally saying,

"I just hope Remus recovers as soon as possible… I asked Professor McGonagall if I could visit him, but she wouldn't allow it…"

"I also heard that Remus wasn't sent to St. Mungo's either… Professor McGonagall only said that professionals are treating him, but she wouldn't say who exactly…"

Seeing his expression, Wade remained silent.

Harry was probably imagining some highly skilled healer. If he found out that it was actually his most despised Professor Snape, he might think Lupin was already doomed.

Apparently, in yesterday's Potions class, Professor Snape had scolded all the first-year Gryffindor students to tears—even his favorite Slytherins weren't spared…

Wade wisely decided to keep that information to himself.

By Sunday noon, Wade finally received a message from Dumbledore.

He immediately rushed to the Headmaster's office, but before he could even knock, the oak door was suddenly flung open.

"BANG!"

The door slammed against the wall with a sound like an explosion.

A furious Snape strode out with a murderous expression. Even upon seeing Wade, his anger did not subside. He simply let out a cold snort, flicked his black robes with one hand as the wind lifted them, and stepped onto the rotating staircase.

He was so impatient that he didn't even wait for the slow-moving staircase to descend properly. Instead, he stormed down the steps with heavy, rapid footsteps.

Wade awkwardly lowered the hand he had raised to greet him and knocked on the open door.

"Come in, Wade."

Dumbledore said.

Wade stepped inside and saw that the Headmaster looked travel-worn, as if he had just returned from outside. His gray cloak, hanging nearby, was slightly tattered, and his long white beard was dusted with dirt.

Dumbledore didn't bother casting a "Scourgify" on himself. Instead, he first retrieved a box of Lemon Sherbets from a cabinet and enthusiastically offered one to Wade.

"Would you like one?"

Wade shook his head. "Thanks, but I don't like them. They're a bit too sweet for me."

"What a shame. They're my favorite Muggle treat."

Dumbledore said as he put the candy box away and popped one into his mouth.

His eyes narrowed slightly, giving the impression that he was savoring the moment.

Wade couldn't help but smile. Then, with a wave of the Headmaster's hand, a glass of pomegranate juice appeared in front of Wade. He thanked him, picked up the glass, and took a sip. He did not rush to ask questions.

Seeing Dumbledore, his original restlessness calmed down.

Moments later, the long table was suddenly filled with an assortment of desserts—treacle tart, syrup sponge, toffee pudding—completely covering the surface.

Dumbledore carefully deliberated for a moment before solemnly selecting a treacle tart as his first dessert of the day. Once again, he recommended his beloved sweets to Wade.

This time, Wade didn't refuse. He picked a pudding—the only item on the table that wasn't overwhelmingly sweet.

After taking a bite, Dumbledore sighed. "Apologies. It's just that whenever I eat around Severus, his expression makes it look like I'm consuming poison. It really dampens one's appetite."

"You must have had quite a rough few days," Wade said sympathetically before curiously asking, "Did those vampires cause you a lot of trouble?"

"The vampires themselves aren't the issue—it's the people behind them that are troublesome."

Something flickered in Dumbledore's expression, a momentary sharpness, but it disappeared within seconds.

Then he smiled. "Good news—Remus has regained his senses. By tomorrow afternoon, he should be back to normal. When the time comes, you can bring Harry along to visit him in the hospital wing."
