Harry Potter: Westeros’s Plant Life
0141 Purification Potion
The brewing process for the purification potion was extremely complex and required several days' time.
Fortunately, everything went smoothly. The week before Halloween, Adrian successfully completed the purification potion.
This time, the golden color of the purification potion appeared somewhat pale, which Adrian guessed was due to insufficient golden apple content.
After all, last time he had used two whole golden apples.
However, as long as the effect was the same, it would be sufficient.
Now he could finally deal with the Voldemort horcrux in his possession—Tom Riddle's diary.
With his previous experience, Adrian chose to conduct the process in front of the Tree of Wisdom, making it convenient for the tree to handle the soul fragment within the horcrux.
In the evening, after Lupin finished work, Adrian set up a small table in front of the Tree of Wisdom and placed the purification potion and the diary on it.
Before this, Adrian had never once opened that notebook, because he didn't want to communicate with the teenage Tom Riddle.
Even a teenage Voldemort couldn't be dismissed as harmless.
The best way to handle it was to say nothing and directly destroy it.
"Let's begin."
After taking a deep breath, Adrian slowly poured the purification potion onto the diary.
The moment the purification potion touched the cover, it slowly seeped in.
For a moment, the diary showed no reaction.
Just when Adrian thought this purification potion hadn't worked, the diary suddenly began shaking violently, opening itself and emitting piercing shrieks.
The pages twisted constantly, writhing like living creatures.
Clearly, the potion was already taking effect.
Suddenly, the diary burst open, and a cloud of black mist gushed out.
This scene was identical to what had happened when purifying Ravenclaw's diadem.
Though Adrian had prepared himself, when the black smoke appeared, he still couldn't help feeling somewhat tense.
The Voldemort in the diary was still very young, but even so, he posed a significant threat.
The black mist twisted and swirled in the air, gradually condensing into a handsome, black-haired youth.
Adrian knew that was young Voldemort.
Unlike before, this time Tom Riddle's features were very clear, his pitch-black eyes flashing with dangerous light.
"Who are you?" He looked coldly at Adrian. "What have you done?"
Clearly, he had also realized that he had been forcibly expelled from the diary by some external power.
You must understand, this was a horcrux.
Even he himself didn't know how to separate the soul fragment within a horcrux again.
However, how could Adrian possibly answer his questions?
The more he said, the more variables there would be.
Adrian smiled slightly: "Guess?"
As soon as the words fell, a massive green beam shot out from the Tree of Wisdom, instantly completely covering Tom Riddle's ethereal form.
"No! This is—" Riddle's face twisted as he let out a piercing scream: "What have you done!?"
As he spoke, he quickly tried to escape from that green light.
Unfortunately, the Tree of Wisdom's beam was much faster than him.
Riddle's body twisted violently in the green light, beginning to melt like heated wax.
Adrian watched the constantly struggling Riddle before him and couldn't help but smile.
This soul fragment seemed stronger than the last one. The previous soul fragment had been absorbed by the Tree of Wisdom almost instantaneously.
But this Tom Riddle had already lasted nearly ten seconds.
Of course, no matter how he struggled, it was all futile.
This was Adrian and the Tree of Wisdom's territory—he couldn't cause any real trouble.
"You'll regret this..." Riddle's voice began to distort, sounding somewhat spine-chilling: "I've already remembered you."
"Is that your last words? How amusing. Sir, you should say something more useful instead of this nonsense."
Adrian shrugged, applying a bit more pressure to the creature in front of him.
After today, this soul fragment would cease to exist. What use was remembering him?
Perhaps only after the real Voldemort was resurrected would Voldemort learn of this matter.
However, with Adrian's interference in the current plot, whether Voldemort could successfully resurrect was still questionable.
Riddle didn't pay any more attention to Adrian's mockery and suddenly fell silent.
He already knew his struggles were useless and would only make him look like a clown performing on stage.
The green light intensified, and Riddle's figure disintegrated bit by bit like sand blown by the wind.
[Sir, the purification has been completed.]
Soon, the Tree of Wisdom's words reached Adrian's mind.
"How is your growth progress, Eldra?"
[I feel very good, sir.]
[Name: Eldra (Tree of Wisdom)]
[Species: Oak Tree]
[Level: 5]
[Properties: Object Analysis, Soul Connection, Soul Purification, Energy Amplification, Ravenclaw's Wisdom]
[Status: Growing (77%)]
The growth progress had increased to 77%. Adrian nodded to himself.
In fact, he now had some speculation about the Tree of Wisdom's growth conditions.
Based on known information, he had determined two methods that could significantly improve the Tree of Wisdom's growth progress.
One was absorbing powerful souls, like Voldemort's soul fragments.
Of course, so far, the Tree of Wisdom had only shown interest in Voldemort's soul fragments.
The other was absorbing powerful magical artifacts, like the previous Philosopher's Stone and Ravenclaw's gemstone.
So, if Adrian wanted to continue improving the Tree of Wisdom's growth progress, he now had two directions to pursue.
The first was to continue searching for Voldemort's horcruxes and absorb the soul fragments within them. The second was to seek various powerful magical artifacts.
The former went without saying—even if it was just to cure his sister's illness, he would do so.
As for the latter, powerful magical artifacts weren't common. His next clear targets were only those treasures left behind by Hogwarts' four founders.
Gryffindor's sword, Hufflepuff's cup, Ravenclaw's diadem, Slytherin's locket.
Among these, Ravenclaw's diadem was already in his possession.
After absorbing the Voldemort soul fragment from the diary, the Tree of Wisdom needed some time to process it into pure soul power and attach it to one of its leaves.
Adrian could only wait patiently for a while.
After checking the Tree of Wisdom's condition, Adrian turned his attention to the notebook.
The notebook had now lost its horcrux abilities and had become an ordinary study tool.
Adrian wrote a few words in the notebook with a quill pen.
Of course, nothing happened, as this was just an ordinary notebook.
But to be safe, Adrian still planned to completely destroy this notebook in a secure location.
