CHAPTER 210: YEARS LATER

"Ah, these invasions are really getting annoying now."

The voice of a young man echoed out, as he stood on one of the buildings, and looked at the confused hoard below.

One moment they where brutally tearing into the humans, devouring them, collecting there misery for the ritual as per their king commanded.

The next moment all of them humans where suddenly gone from the onslaught.

The young man had short black hair, wild and untamed, to his his neck, his golden eyes looked down at the crowd below.

There were exactly 12,748 Demons currently here in Downtown Celestine.

Others where in other regions of the Sector, but the other Captains would take care of that.

Still he promised Nyx that he would take care of Downtown as the hunters are occupied in other regions too.

"Well thankfully most of them are just low level fodders, this shouldn’t take long at all. The only problem is that thing...

He looked over to left, about 4 kilometers away a giant alligator like Demon was present, it’s great form towering over most buildings. Its massive body was a grotesque fusion of reptilian and demonic traits, with a long, sinuous tail that lashed like a whip, capable of toppling large structures.

Its hide was a patchwork of jagged, obsidian-black scales, glinting faintly under the city’s lights, each scale edged with a sickly green luminescence that pulsed with malevolent energy.

The demon’s mouth was wide enough to swallow a large building, and they lined with rows of serrated, dagger-like teeth that dripped with a corrosive, tar-like saliva.

Its eyes glowed a piercing crimson, radiating primal rage, while its muscular limbs ended in clawed feet that gouged deep scars into the earth with each step.

Ggghraaaa!!

It’s growl shake the earth, and the skies both.

"And that thing down there."

Which was the same Demonic beast that Xeres almost got killed by.

Hundred of tendrils popped out from below the earth

Meanwhile the young man’s golden eyes narrowed, a smirk appearing at his lips as he raised his hands, and large amount of light Astrum began to radiate from his body.

"Let’s get this over with."

He muttered to himself, as his voice was dripping with confidence. The alligator demon roar still echoed, but he wasn’t fazed.

At the same time he leaped from the buildings edge, landing lightly on the cracked pavement below, his wild black hair whipping in the wind.

The demons turned at his arrival, their snarls and hisses rising as they sensed his power. Low-level fodder or not, they were still a pain in the ass. But he had just the thing for them, and that hulking beast in the distance.

The one underground however will require way more than just this but for the mass majority here it was basically GG.

Raising his hands upwards, the coding of the circle complete, he as he prepare to use the Rupture spell he learned during his intense training with Priscilla.

While also using and mixing the spell with Promise Magic with the help of Media.

He looked at all the demons, creating weak spot on them utilizing the power of a Monarch.

Years of training had turned him into hardened veteran on the battlefield, as he was a Master of Martial Arts, Magic, and as of late Engineering.

But either way, using promise he created a Rule Zone where his magic power becomes absolute, meaning the spells he cast in this Zone had a 50/50 chance of hitting.

As he needs to make a promise, to create rules, the spell will absolutely hit he lands on tail, as such as one hand finished the last of the coding for destruction and focus.

He took out a coin and flipped it.

As he said ,while using the power of Actualization I wish the coin lands on tail.

And bold and behold it does, and that was all that he needed.

The demons crowd him in great numbers, their intentions clear, he was threath, and a threath that needed to be taken care of.

But it was already too late.

As the circle grew and grew, its diameter spanning ten meters, hovering above him before soaring into the evening sky, a blazing beacon of pure, blinding light shine blinding everyone below.

But more than anything else the hoard all looked up in horror, light magic being extremely effective on Demonic Beings.

Evident of this was that all of them froze, their crimson eyes reflecting the glow as they sensed the threat.

The alligator demon’s massive head swung toward him, its jaws snapping with a sound like cracking stone.

If it kills the caster then his spell will die alongside him.

It rushed to the mysterious man, squishing the unfortunate demons below who were unlucky to be in it’s way.

"Ggghraaaa!"

It bellowed again, shaking the ground. The young man didn’t flinch.

"Yeah, yeah, keep screaming bud."

He taunted, his voice sharp.

"You’re about to get a headache with this one."

The spell activated and Rupture unleashed its fury. Thousands of laser-like beams of light rained down, each one a needle of searing brilliance, shooting like a missile, precise and unrelenting.

They struck the demons below by the thousands, every beam targeting head and heart simultaneously at weird glowing purple mark.

And these light hit the target, ignoring reason and logic, that was the promise point the magic reached without fail.

As the light shoot through the head of each demon, which was the weka spot that was created and once hit.

Their cells died, their souls erase, everything about them was dead leaving nothing behind.

The blood of Allash that flow through the mans blood, was greater than these feinds as such they succumb to power of the Monarch.

One by one they dropped, leaving only their hollow bodies alive even the tendrils where dead, well the ones that where hit.

Below the earth something extremely powerful roam, and that thing was the demon equivalent of the Monster World Reality Eaters.

Either way though the job was done, and the hoard was dealt with.

"Well that take car of that."

But as he killed those Demons a familiar voice echoed in his head.

[Good job Master]

"Thanks Freya."

Adam commented, as he scratch his head, either way these body although dead would prove useful either way.

As he said.

[Actualize: I wish that these corpse was inside my place of power]

Reality bent at Adam’s command, the thousands of demonic corpses, ash and remnants alike suddenly teleported into his inner universe, a realm of raw power where his magic was at its strongest.

But that aside, he soon heard a voice behind him, calling out.

"Oh my, it would seem the infamous Captain Adam has already cleared this region."

"Ha?!"

Adam turned to face the speaker, a busty woman with silver eyes and hair, her vampiric fangs glinting faintly in the dim light.

Behind her, two men and three other women followed, their postures wary but curious, but ultimately remain quiet.

Adam flashed a cocky smile.

"Tiffany, long time no see."

"Hahaha... How mean of you! ’Long time no see?’ He says... Is that all you have to say after what happened back then? Still, you’ve grown a lot. Tell me, how long are you staying this time?"

"Oh, that’s the good news, Tiff. Yesterday, I completed the last of my training. I am attending the Royal Academy of New Hera since Khan got destroyed a couple of years back by those cult fuckers. So yeah, I’ll be in the Human World for at least ten years before I head back home."

Adam said as he walked toward Tiffany, her silver eyes looking up at him, her hands folded under her chest, accentuating her figure.

Tiffany bit her lip as she sized up Adam, chuckling softly to herself.

"Hmmm, that’s nice. I’m glad I’ll get to see more of you. Let’s pick up where we left off five years ago ok."

Adam’s grin widened, a spark of mischief in his golden eyes.

"Oh, you mean that little stunt in the freezer?"

Tiffany laughed, a sultry sound that echoed in the quiet street.

"Oh, please, you loved the thrill. And don’t act like you didn’t enjoy showing off... Fooling around with a captain is a feat you know."

"...Not if you are a captain as well."

Adam rebuked.

But quiet down as she stepped closer, her silver hair catching the city lights, her gaze playful but sharp.

"So, Captain Adam...

She teasingly called him out.

"What’s a big shot like you doing back in the Human World? Besides slaughtering demons, of course."

"Just keeping a promise to Nyx."

Adam said, shrugging.

"Downtown’s my turf so it fall under my jurisdiction, even if I can’t always guard it. But yeah, the Academy’s my next stop. Gotta play nice with the humans for a bit."

His tone was flippant.

"Of course. Still, I really need to hurry. Don’t want to be late for my first day.... or rather night at the Military Academy."

"Tonight is the test that will decide what class I am going to enter."

"Well, don’t let me hold you back then, Adam. Oh, give me your phone."

Tiffany extended her hand, her nails glinting like polished silver.

"Sure, here."

Adam handed over his phone, and she typed quickly, her fingers a blur.

"I added you on Aurora. I’ll message you, okay? Besides, we’ll be seeing each other real soon. Now hurry up before you’re late."

"Yeah, take care."

With that, Adam vanished in a flash of green light, teleporting from sight as he made his way to the Royal Academy of New Hera.

Meanwhile one of the guys and girl asked.

"Captain... Is that really the Reaper?"

"...Yeah."

"I thought he was only some legend the guys back at HQ talk about to pass time."

"Oh he is no legend, I can assure you he rumors around him does no justice. He is far more powerful than all captain combined. After all, he is the new family Head for The Hellsing Family. Look closely maggots, do you think a normal person can kill all those demons and fix the city they destroy."

"Ahhh... You are right, all the building are fix, as if the attack never happened. How the hell did he do that?"

One girl said in shock.

"To make a long story short he can warp and alter reality with his words alone. Still it been 13 years since I first met him. He should be 19 about now, but for some reason he smell’s much older."
