He Became A Monstrous Genius After Obtaining A Time Dilation Artifact
Chapter 421. Assassination 1
CHAPTER 421: CHAPTER 421. ASSASSINATION 1
Tian Xu Empire Academy.
Bantura Mountain range.
In a cave.
Arrie stood before the towering hobgoblins with seriousness in her eyes.
The dimness of the cave pressed around her, yet her expression remained firm.
"I’m starting to regret choosing this mission. Maybe I should have accepted the support of those fellows who wanted this to be a joint mission?"
However, when she remembered how far she was behind compared to Kailen, the man she wanted to stand beside, she steeled herself.
"Now is not the time for weakness. I need to do these kind of things on my own."
After Arrie said, several rocks shot out of the cave grounds and floated around her.
Her breathing steadied, and a faint metallic glow flickered around the rocks.
Using her metal affinity, she controlled the rocks by making use of the metallic elements in them, and the rocks shot towards the hobgoblins in the large cave.
The rank 1 beginner stage ascendant level hobgoblins swung their clubs ferociously towards Arrie’s rocks.
The force behind their swings shook bits of dust from the cave ceiling.
Accompanying the swings of the clubs were various affinities circling around their clubs and shimmering madly from the swings of their clubs towards Arrie.
When the clubs and affinities from the various hobgoblins — water, wind and fire — came into contact with the rocks, the rocks broke apart, scattering around into splinters.
The hobgoblins did not notice that in that split moment where they were conversing, underestimating the harmless looking female human standing before them, several metallic needles that had been condensed from the metallic elements in the rocks Arrie had sent earlier towards them, were currently hovering subtly around them.
"Impudent human. To think you can defeat us is inconcievable."
"Hehehe. How about we have a taste of her before we end her?"
"Huhahaahahaha."
"I like the sound of tha—"
The last hobgoblin who spoke did not even finish what he wanted to say when he screamed.
"My eyes... my fucking eyes!"
The others were wondering what the impudent human had done, when in that split moment, several metallic needles shot towards their eyes and pierced through their eyes towards their skulls.
Puchi... Puchi...
They let out short lived wails until they collapsed on the ground and died, a pool of green blood splattered around them.
Arrie stepped back slightly as the metallic scent mixed with the strange green odor.
"I guess this was easier than I thought it would be. Let’s head deeper. By the time I leave here, it will definitely be time to meet up with Kailen about what he told Micheal, Charles and I, concerning that place in Atlantis."
Arrie mused to herself as she headed deeper into the cave.
Her determination burned quietly, pushing her forward step by step.

The group stood before the teleportation gate with gleeful expressions on their faces as they were about to enter the teleportation gate of Atlantis.
"Hey is that Lian Yu?"
"There’s Anaya too."
"It’s Kailen Darkhaven."
"All his friends from the Astral Empire Academy are here. This is huge."
"Quick, quick, take pictures!"
Before anyone could take a picture of them, Kailen sighed.
"I was afraid something like this would happen. This mission was planned to be executed in a subtle way. Do you think it would help if the leaders of the Reaverson clan found our pictures on social media that we were standing before teleportation gates that led to Atlantis? That would ruin the plan to swiftly annihilate the clan leader and let Ethan take full control of the clan.
"As for Everlong’s desired vacation, we can have it after Ethan takes over the Revearson Clan.
"Everyone hold my hand."
The moment the group held Kailen’s hands, he made use of umbral replacement as everyone disappeared...
They found themselves in an entirely different world by the time their eyes opened.
They stood in an extremely luxurious room.
"Shit, this is my room. Kailen how did you..."
"Do you even have to bother yourself? This guy will always defy logic so let’s just focus on what we came here to do."
"Right."
"Ethan, what’s the plan?" Kailen asked.
Ethan said, "The leadership of the Revearson Clan are bound to obey the clan leader by means of a rune oath. If they disobey his orders, they will die, even if they don’t agree with his orders.
"There are 50 rank 7 beginner stage galactic level elders of the Revearson clan, including the clan leader.
"There are also 50 rank 1 intermediate stage galactic level lifeforms of the Revearson Clan — that even Kailen with his strength as a Black Flask cannot handle.
"Also each one of the clan powerhouses is someone whose attacks would be boosted to higher levels during battles, because of the sea realm more attuned to the water based elements that most people from Atlantis awaken.
"Apart from them, there are several lower ranked powerhouses in the Revearson clan we will have to deal with if we do not handle this subtly. I can confidently say that no one is okay with the way my father has been handling the matters of the clan but if we decide to kill him, they will have to defend him due to the rune oaths that bound them to be absolutely loyal to him.
"As I already informed you guys before we came here, this will mean that in order to avoid incurring any danger, you guys will have to sneak into the royal chamber and kill the clan leader so that the rune oaths that bound the leaders to protect him would be deactivated before they can cause any harm to any of you. As for me, I cannot harm him since I am also bound by a rune oath of loyalty to him. I am just gonna stay out of sight and let you guys do the work."
Everyone nodded at Ethan’s words.
The plan was the best course of action.
However, they realised the Revearson clan was extremely powerful.
The powerhouses they had were greater than that of the Darkhaven, Harkers and Arcane Empowerment Sect.
Apart from the old monsters of those clans who had cut ties with the three organisations and left during the time Kailen had destroyed them without revealing himself, these clans literally were weak in terms of powerhouses compared to the Revearson Clan.
Just a declining clan like the Reaverson clan had powerhouses of this caliber.
Just how powerful were the more prestigious and prodigious ones like the Pandora clan and the others?
Atlantis was really full of hidden dragons and crouching tigers.
Ethan chuckled on seeing their reactions.
He however noticed that Kailen was in deep thought.
"Can’t Kailen just kill the leader of the Revearson clan by himself? Kailen, is there another reason why you made us come to Atlantis?"
Zarek suddenly said.
The question lingered in the air.
Kailen was tailor made for this plan to function effectively with himself alone.
So why did he allow them to follow him?
Everyone realized things from Zarek’s perspective.
Everyone came to a sudden realization.
Right.
Kailen was extremely powerful to kill the leader of the Reaverson clan on his own, especially with this subtle plot.
He was perfect when it came to operating from the shadows because he had killed Enna Harker in a way no one noticed, to the point of escaping academy scrutiny.
Also, after he destroyed the powerhouses of the Empire overnight without even revealing himself in the process.
So why would he need them to deal with a single man he could kill without revealing himself to anyone?
Kailen was about to let the cat out of the bag anyway, so he simply spoke.
"Killing the clan leader would be something easy for me. As Zarek has deduced, and as you are all probably thinking, there’s actually another reason why I wanted you guys to follow me to Atlantis, and it was not because of Ethan’s plan, because I can handle the plan on my own.
"However, when one of my shadow creatures was scouting Atlantis recently, she came across a location extremely dense enlightenment fragments.
"I wanted you guys to benefit greatly from this place, so after the matter of the Revearson clan is taken care of we will head there. Also, Arrie, Charles and Micheal will be joining us there. I informed them about this after the banquet."
The group nodded in understanding.
"That makes a lot of sense now."
"I see, a place with dense enlightenment fragments? Wow."
"I can’t wait for us to go there."
"What of the vacation?"
"It can wait, Everlong. My God you are so helpless."
Kailen smiled on seeing their reaction and said.
"Give me a few moments to finish this and we can settle things here and head there."
As everyone nodded and took a seat in Ethan’s bedroom, Kailen simply sent hound 1 to Rango Revearson’s room.
Even though the man was a rank 7 beginner stage galactic level lifeform, he could not notice the presence of the shadow creature veiled from him because of the special nature of Kailen’s shadow hounds, that made it so that even extremely strong powerhouses compared to the level of the shadow hound could never notice their presence.
When Kailen saw the situation in the room through the eyes of the shadow creature, he sighed and shook his head.
