He left me broken. Now he's back and his apology tastes like sin

Skr’s inner turmoil remained hidden as she calmly inquired, “Who is Sue?”
Based on her slightly dyed reaction just now, Yosef was pretty sure she was Sue. However, since it was clear she didn’t want Yosef to know he decided to go along with it and pretend he was oblivious.
Yosef shrugged off any concerns and casually said, “It’s nothing.”
Skr wanted to avoid being recognized and felt uneasy around Yosef. “There’s nothing more to discuss, so I’m leaving,” she said, heading for the balcony, hoping to get away from him. Annoyingly, she noticed he was right behind her.
Yosef approached her with courtesy and inquired, “May I have the pleasure of knowing your name, miss?”
“I don’t intend to get close to you, so there’s no reason for you to know my name,” Skr said curtly, subtly quickening her pace as she spoke.
Noticing that Skr was speeding up, Yosef discreetly matched her pace, ensuring that they maintained the exact distance between them. Frustrated that she couldn’t lose him, Skr snapped, “Why do you keep following me?”
His expression remained calm, his icy eyes betraying a hint of feigned innocence as he said, “I’m not following you; we just happen to be going the same way.”
‘Same here, my foot! What are the odds? He’s been following me the whole time.‘ Pursing her lips with barely concealed anger, Skr snapped, “Mr. Campbell, are you intentionally messing with me?”
“That’s not what I meant,” Yosef replied in a calm voice.
Skr demanded, “Then what on earth do you mean?”
Yosef stepped closer and reached out towards her. Skr’s eyes widened with rm. Instinctively, she pped his hand away and demanded angrily, “What do you think you’re doing?”
Yosef said softly, “You have a mole right there–exactly like the one my wife has. I just wanted to check if you might be…” Before Yosef could finish speaking, Skr interrupted him sharply, eximing, “I’m not her.” Her voice was loud and cutting.
Pulling her shirt cor a bit tighter, Skr said, “Mr. Campbell, coincidences happen all the time, I happen to have a mole in the same spot as your wife’s–nothing more.”
Yosef’s eyes sparkled with amusement. “Is that so?”
Absolutely Skr asserted with firm conviction.
“Alright, maybe I was overthinking it.” As Yosef didn’t pursue the topic any further, Skr felt a sense of relief.
“Since destiny keeps bringing us together, why don’t we have a little chat?” suggested Yosef, eager to spend more time with her.
Skr couldn’t quite identify her emotions–it was aplex mix. She thought, ‘Yosef probably has no idea who I am. Just because of a sole, be’s acting all foendly with me already!

Skr gritted her teeth, seething with anger and utterly repulsed by herself.

Skr thought bitterly, ‘Even if all the misunderstandings are resolved, it doesn’t mean that Yosef is innocent. If he’s willing to hurt me to get back to Elianna, he would do the same to someone else. To protect herself from further pain, she must–and willpletely sever all ties with him.
Skr repeated those words to herself several times until her agitated heart finally calmed down. She then firmly declined his invitation, saying, “It’s not a good idea. Since you’re married, we should keep some distance.”
